Used to be a really amazing place but new people came and the quality went down. I get powder tips no problem for long time then this new lady comes suffering my nails are chipping and popping off after a week. Then a new older lady was most definitely asking the nearby staff what was the next step after almost every step! Why hire her? Then she cut my skin slight bleeding and she continued to put polish over it and rub it like nothing happened and when i did not tip her she immediately started complaining. I've been trying out all the nail places in Floral Park and so far this is my least favorite. I read the great reviews and had high hopes so I waited the 30minutes for a mani/pedi on a Sunday afternoon. The male technician that I got was not very friendly and everything I asked him, the answer was "I don't know". There was a flyer for eye lash extension, I asked for more info, I got "I don't know". I asked about the offer of a $10 coupon if you review on Google or Yelp, there answer I got was again "I don't know". I figured if I tipped 25% that maybe that would break the ice a bit, I was wrong. I couldn't even get a smile out of him nor did I get the shoulder massage the previous patrons revived when they are drying their nails. I am also not a fan of having to pay the extra $5 ($10 in total because of mani and pedi) for the "special" nail polish. I am hoping that this $50 regular main/pedi will last at least a week. This was my first time here, and I will say I will definitely come back. I went in with some (very) damaged nails from trying to remove my gel color at home. Sang did my manicure, and he recommend tips with a gel color as my nails were very broken. He was very friendly and knowledgeable, and while I'm not a very chatty client he was very polite and greeted many customers by name. He made sure that I was happy with my length and shape, and was over all very detailed. I am thrilled with the results, and love the finishing touch of the coconut oil on the hands. Jamie who did my pedicure was also very good, and I will happily use the coupons I was given on a return visit. UPDATE: I have gotten a lot of compliments on my nails all week. They have held up really well and I am extremely rough on my hands between work and activities. They still have a very nice clean look, and Sang has even checked to see how they're holding up. This salon is awesome! I'm a pretty tough reviewer when it comes to salons as I consider a bunch of different criteria when choosing a salon that I would like to return to. Cleanliness/Sanitary, End result, Product Quality and Selection, Customer treatment, price, treatment of staff, parking are the areas I consider. Cleanliness/Sanitary - nail utensils are all new for each application for each customer. Liners are used for pedicure baths. No nail polish smell. End result - after two visits, I can honestly say that my nails are soooooooo beautiful. I did the gel manicure and regular pedicure during my first visit, and both lasted for 3 weeks, without any chipping. Product quality/Selection - all high end nail polish brands. LED light for gel manicures! A big plus! There's a big selection of colors, as well as gel colors that have matching nail colors for pedicures. Customer treatment- Sang, the owner, is available via text. This is HUGE and super convenient. I was able to make appointments via text when I couldn't get on the phone. Someone also gives you a great massage while you get your nails done. Sang also gives incentives to come back which leads me to... Pricing - very fair and affordable. This last appointment, I got $7 off my bill bc of coupons that Sang gave me during my first visit. Such a great marketing strategy! Treatment of staff - Sang seems to treat his employees with respect and they seem to enjoy working there. He even allowed one of the daughters of an employee to be there during summer vacation. I pay very close attention to the way the staff gets treated and was very pleased to see such respect. Parking - street parking is available and municipal parking in the back.
