Sara's is relatively new and a hidden gem. Having traveled some in Lebanon, I am both drawn to the food and a little critical of authenticity. Sara's does not disappoint. A menu with enough variety to meet the needs of their audience without overwhelming. The mix grill was very good as was the lamb shank. I was a little underwhelmed with the octopus, but optimistic that wasn't the norm. The absolute star of the night was a saffron poached pear. It was totally amazing, unique and if nothing else, worth the trip.

Mixed grill and Adana kebabs

Were were in the area dropping off our son at West Point. Was in a mood to eat grilled Turkish food. Found this place and decided to give it a try after reading the reviews. It is in deed a hidden gem. The best Turkish grilled food I ever eaten. We ordered the mixed grill for 2 and the Adana kebabs for my son. Everything we done perfectly. Meats perfectly grilled, tasty and juicy and flavorful. Adana kebabs was thicker and longer than any other places I have eaten Turkish Adana. I would give it a 10 stars if that was an option. Will be coming here again for many upcoming visits.

There are new owners, same kitchen staff. Seating is prompt, and a carafe of water is left on the table. Mehmet is gracious and professional. More than happy to describe the entrées. The restaurant has an upscale look to it. Attractive artwork on the walls, the tables and chairs are also comfortable and functional. The dinner and flatware are very attractive and distinctive. The food is presented very artfully; it almost seems a shame to eat it. There's a new two part lunch menu. Pick one course from the top and one from the bottom. It becomes a complete meal. The chicken soup with vegetables is a meal in itself. Very filling and tasty. Along the wall is seating for a family gathering.

My catering menu: rice, fries for kids, BABAGANOUSH FOR 20 PEOPLE, pita, lamb kabobs etccc

I catered from here for my wedding this May! I had never been to Sara's Mediterranean Grill and was arranging my wedding from out of state, but knew I wanted local, fresh Mediterranean food for our 50 person farm wedding. I made so many calls to different Hudson Valley restaurants. From the beginning Omar was so helpful and willing to make this happen. They provided chafing dishes and delivery FOR FREE (it was at least a 40 minute commute) and there was an abundance of food. I ordered a variety of hummus, pita, beet and feta dip (my fave), falafels, lamb kabobs, chicken kabobs, a few different salads. The food lasted my entire weekend guest count for two days. A month later I'm still hearing glowing reviews from my guests and I'm craving the food as well. Omar and his team were prompt and super easy to work with and the prices were great value. 1000/10 recommend and I will come visit next time in upstate! (I've never set foot in the restaurant and didn't even do a tasting which was a leap of faith but I just felt like they had it under control and was so right about that)

We enjoyed the casual ambiance, the service was ok, and the food was fairly decent. Walked away feeling fine. A few hours later, fire in the hull. Core clutching chaos. Had to drop the kids off at the pool. Several times. I have a food handlers certificate and I suspect it was the egg based sauce that came with the calamari.

First time at Sarah's Mediterranean Grill was a wonderful experience. The atmosphere is lovely, staff so pleasant and helpful, and the food DELICIOUS! Will absolutely return Only thing I was not prepared for is that they are still waiting for their liquor license so BYOB. Go and enjoy you will not be disappointed

Everything was absolutely amazing at Sara's! The octopus was so fresh and the dips in the mezze platter were delicious. Mehmet was such a lovely server as well. We stumbled upon Sara's after a day of errands and I felt very underdressed. It is a bit more of a casual dressy vibe.

Wow.....amazing decor, very nice service and yummy food! The only downside is the price....it is a little overpriced. I'd prefer bigger portions for the price, but all in all good Turkish food and I would return again!

Kunafa

Went for Christmas Eve dinner and it was perfect. The ambiance is serene and beautiful. The hospitality was excellent. We had the hummus and tzatziki appetizer with warm pita bread. I had the manti as a main dish, which is a middle eastern comfort food for me and it didn't disappoint. I kept sneaking the grilled vegetables from the kebab platter the rest of my family was eating--so good! For dessert the kunafa was delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant.

What a wonderful discovery! My husband and I were driving back from car shopping and we were both…read morehungry because we hadn't eaten all day, so I typed in "Steak" on Yelp and up popped Stone House Grill. I took a quick look at the ratings and the food photos and that was enough for us to set the GPS for the Stone House. Entering, we were greeted immediately and made to feel very welcome. The dining room was lively but we had a nice table and soon had water and bread, which came with a delicious sauce of some kind that had vegetables and cheese in it. It was so good they should sell jars of it! We ordered some shrimp cocktail to start (those were some giant shrimp, although it was only three and four would have been a nice even number) and then I had the rib eye for my main. It doesn't come with anything so I ordered fries on the side. That steak was outstanding! The flavor, the texture...everything was amazing. It came out on a sizzling skillet and it tasted as good as it looked. It was also so big that I took half of it home for lunch and if possible, it tasted even better the next day. I was very pleased. The fries were also exceptional and even though the serving was big, I ate them all. I couldn't help myself! Since I took half of my steak home, I decided there was room for dessert and the chocolate mousse didn't disappoint. The food was so good and the service was so warm and friendly, I definitely want to go back to Stone House Grill. If you're nearby, stop in for a meal. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

My chicken cutlet was not that good.Loaded with sauce hardly any meat. We went for lunch and I did not see anything special about this restaurant. And when it came to paying, they charge over three percent to use your credit card. And when I asked about it, she said every one does that, and I said, no, they don't. I deducted the three percent from the tip which I left in cash. I eat out at least 4 nights a week. And none of the restaurants I go to charge to use your credit card and I don't go to the ones that do. I won't be going back.

You guys rate well on both platforms, why the smoke and mirrors? You have nothing to hide from! I ordered the grill trio (Mashawai platter), a huge order of seasoned lamb, cubed spicy chicken, and kufta kabab, peppered with delightful seasoned French fries. You can also get basmati rice or fattoush salad, but man, those fries are dynamite. And a huge portion size! Would easily feed two! I also ordered the falafel sandwich, "the works!" This amalgam of tastiness that includes tahini, pickles, parsley, lettuce, tomato, onions, hummus, and hot sauce. A delightful smorgasbord of flavors. The outer wrap was grilled perfectly. Outside of their Doordash identity, this place also offers: hummus dishes, tabbouleh, labnah. Soups: lentil, fattoush. Multiple sandwiches: beef kofta, falafel, lamb, gyro. Veggie platers, beef and chicken shawarma platters. Salads: greek, Arabic, falafel, yum yum, fattoush, tabbouleh. Hudson Valley Falafel. Falafel Town. In person. Delivery. Great service and friendly staff at this Sri Lankan restaurant…read more The manager/owner used to be a chef at the UN after traveling the world for various stints after leaving Sri Lanka at age 25. He will fill you with his wealth of knowledge of Sri Lankan food as well as how his food is pure and wholesome. Food was very good. I had Sri Lankan rice entree specialty dish. Except for the the shrimp tasting like dried shrimp - which I hate with a passion the rest of the dish was pretty good. No complaints from my other guests who enjoyed their meals. The dessert was great. They have both vegetarian (including goat, beef, pork, shrimp, squid, and chicken) and non-vegetarian options. It fell short of five stars for two reasons: 1. the dried shrimp or dried fish taste in the dish (shimp, calamari, and chicken); and 2. the moderately high prices (I can only compare to prices at Indian restaurants in the city, and what people are typically paying for the same portion size at casual sit down restaurants) Since we don't frequent this location often it is a treat to stop by every once in awhile and introduce my friends to it. If you are on a budget and consume large volumes of food to be full, this is most likely a one off or a place you may want to skip. Otherwise, enjoy it. On premise parking lot and seems ADA compliant. It looks like it is in a house, but inside it is comfortable and casual. It appears there is allot more local customers than visitors from out of town. The interior plays tourist information on Sri Lanka while the interior is also decorated in culturally appropriate ascents. We were there on a Saturday for dinner and the space was fairly empty - perhaps two other tables occupied. It is in sort of a remote area outside the main drag of Beacon most are familiar with (not within reasonable walking distance). It's worth a try, especially if you are interested in healthier forms of food (ingredients).

We ordered oysters, prosciutto with watermelon, chickpea-crusted fried calamari, scallops, and two pasta dishes--one with veal and the other with scallops. Plus cocktails and wine. The oysters were magnificent--fresh and delicious. The pasta wasn't particularly memorable, but the scallops turned out to be very tasty... While the dishes weren't extraordinary, they were certainly tasty enough. The most unpleasant--and even awkward--part was that the waiters were in no rush to clear away dirty dishes (and sometimes didn't do it at all), even though the tables there are quite small. You end up eating surrounded by dirty plates and glasses, which certainly doesn't help the impression of the service quality. Even when we asked for the dishes to be cleared, it didn't happen. We were told they would clear everything when they brought our second round of cocktails, but since the cocktails never arrived, the dirty dishes stayed on the table. It's unlikely we'll visit this restaurant again. We live just a seven-minute drive away, but we have no desire to spend over $300 again to eat in an atmosphere reminiscent of a roadside diner.
