This is for their service department. They never meet their appointment times. You show up early or at your time, and they'd never ready for you. Then they try and sell you on crap services you don't need. Then today I find out they over tightened my oil pan nut and rounded it off. A great way to force me to come back for more service. I'll never come here again for service or to buy another car. read more

DISREPUTABLE RIP-OFF! STAY AWAY!!! Too bad this system doesn't allow anyone to leave a zero rating. How can anyone fathom giving one star to a bunch of thieves? This is a rating on their service department. My vehicle was brought in for service due to its inability to start. I checked the battery and the battery posts and cables and it was neither of those at fault. Not having a fuel pressure gauge to see if the engine was getting fuel, I brought it in for service. I told them what I had checked out thus far and left it to them to continue. I assumed that with the dealership service department having ASE certified technicians and Mitsubishi trained technicians that they need not be told what to do next. I was sorely mistaken. This shop ripped me off but good. They had my vehicle in their shop for three weeks, claiming all the while that they didn't know what the problem was. They admitted being stumped and claimed that they had to contact Mitsubishi in California for advise. Even after contacting Mitsubishi, CA, they still claimed to have no clue. Then they requested permission to remove the engine head to see if they could find the problem. First, they reported that the they found the problem, that the tube seals on the spark plugs were leaking oil into the cylinder and fouling the plugs. The repair was to replace the tube seals and the spark plugs. Cost of the repair, about $500. According to the service manager, after the repair, it started the next day, once, and then it didn't ever start again. (That "repair" wasn't the problem). Next, they stated it was the ECU, the electronic control unit, the vehicle's computer, because as they stated, "It tells the car what to do." Their statement was that we think this is the problem, because it wasn't anything else. They planned to remove it & send it out to be reprogrammed as the vehicle is over 10 years old. The cost, about another $500. (Guess what? After the "repair," that wasn't it either.) Next, they stated that when the technician was manually tracing the electrical wiring, he came upon a cluster of wires that when moved allowed the engine to start, and then when moved again, caused the vehicle to not start. This was the area of the planned "next repair," however, a few days later I received a call that they found the problem, it is the fuel pump that is not delivering the fuel to the engine. Cost, about another $500. (This was actually the real problem, the easy fix, the next step to check after the items I had checked out on my own that is the usual progression to diagnosing the solution to this type of problem, but the right thing to do wasn't on Sarasota Mitsubishi's agenda.) Now, every backyard mechanic and every vo-tech high school teaches that the next step after checking the battery and the battery cables is to check the engine to see if it is getting fuel. These Mitsubishi ASE certified technicians didn't know that? Bull! They, deliberately, misled me on wild assumptions and expensive procedures just for the money before they did the usual, and easy, fix. As I previously stated, I expected them to perform, and assumed that they did perform, the next step in the repair sequence which was to check the fuel pressure. That is why these unusual "repairs" were given the go ahead, because it was baffling that the problem was not being found, and the vehicle needed to be in service, not, inconveniently, in the shop for so many weeks. I know now that they knew what the problem was all along, but they were able to force my hand to do the repairs by continually stringing me along on what the "problem" was on each occasion. They knew what they were doing. When I picked up the vehicle & wanted to discuss this situation with the service manager, he was, conveniently, in a meeting. All businesses make a profit on their services, but reputable businesses don't fabricate problems where there are none. Mitsubishi of Sarasota does. Stay away at all costs. RIP OFF! read more

Well where do I start... Two weeks ago I was in an accident that left me car less until today. Here I was thinking i would only get something that would tied me over till the time was right. Thanks to the amazing staff of Sarasota Mitsubishi, I am a proud owner of a 2015 Outlander Sport. (rated most safest vehicle.) My Salesman ANDY couldn't have done a better more professional and quick job. I was in and out of there in less than 2 hours.(considering my situation) Martin and Hank in the financing department managed to get me an outstanding rate and Dan the Man was on top of the paper work ready to be signed and new registration printed and ready to go. I stopped in to see if they had any used cars that might fit was I was looking for and though we were unable to come to a deal, I was incredibly impressed with the manner in which I was treated. They took the time to try and find a vehicle that was right for me and were incredible upfront and honest throughout the entire process.
