We chose Sarasota Pack and Ship because we use the iPostal1 service from PostNet and they are in the network. We have had a very positive experience in Colorado but we needed to move our business to Florida. This location was convenient to my mother, who might need to pick us mail occasionally for us. No one told us at the time but they nickel and dime you. They charge you a dollar for each piece of mail that you pickup. All of a sudden we received an email saying we were going to be charged for a letter we had picked up a month earlier. When we called, the girl on the phone was combative and demanded that we much schedule an appointment to pick up mail Huh? No, we will pick up our mail when it is convenient for us. Then she turned around and charged us $1 for an appointment to pick up our mail. While we are 400 miles away. The locations on Fruitville and University Parkway don't charge for letters so I would choose one of those locations. If it wasn't such a pain to change addresses, I would move to one of the other locations on principal. You know, I have always been a proponent of using small Mom & Pop businesses but it is companies like this that drive people to large chains. read more

They work with PostScan mail and other online mailing services. The staff is very friendly :) they are missing 1 star review because, unfortunately for their business, if lots of mail is going to your box, you will inevitably have an item (or 2) over the year be delayed because of the mailing confusion with the post office that is also located in the same shopping plaza. I was given an inaccurate shipping quote, then charged extra at the last minute because they didn't bother to cut the box down to size as promised. They were dishonest about the size of my shipment in an attempt to cover for their sloppy work. Prices were high to begin with, then they extort extra money when the job is done and you have no choice but to pay. I will never use them again. read more

I have used them in the past with no problem. I went in today to send a package via Fedex. (Weight 18 lbs) All they had to do was put it in a box. I had already prepared it using bubble wrap. I said I wanted the least expensive shipping option. Price quoted: $110!! My response was: WHAT??? I bought a box, packed it myself, took it to Fedex and it cost me $38 to ship. Needless to say, I will not be returning to Pack and Ship. read more

I chose Sarasota Pack and Ship on Beneva randomly from the internet. .. .I had them pack two boxes of valuables which were shipped using Fedex along with other cartons that I had packed . . .i insured them, and off they went . . . the valuables that were packed by Sarasota Pack and Ship arrived smashed and broken. . . then, my claim was denied by Fedex, despite photos showing the damage . . . i did everything right, they did everything wrong .. .i do not advise using this Sarasota Pack and Ship, and i do not advise using Fedex or paying the extra money to insure since Fedex will apparently not honor legitimate claims . . . ., neither will Sarasota Pack and Ship reimburse for the mistakes they obviously made in their packing choices . . neither one of these businesses is to be trusted with your valuables. .. go elsewhere .. . . read more
