They are preying on parents that are trying to help their children find structure and discipline, but the reality is sending your kids her is sending them to the lion's den. Your child will not recover, they will only get worse an pick up worse habits like drugs, stealing, or not even going to class since nobody is actually monitoring these kids.

After having shelled out over $7,000 for the Surgical Sterile Processing class (uniforms, text…read morebook/workbook, exam for pre-credential CRCST) in late 2019/early 2020 - and passed the pre certification CRCST exam in February - myself and four classmates needed to go to Orange Regional Medical Center (now Garnet Health Medical Center) for 400 hours of UNPAID internship to get the FULL CRCST certification. 96 hours into the internship, on March 13 2020, the hospital turned myself and the 4 other students out of the CS Department due to COVID. We were never informed when we would return. All during the class, all we heard was "THEY ARE HIRING! THEY ARE HIRING! ALL OUR STUDENTS FIND JOBS!" This past summer I applied to over 23 Surgical Sterile Processing jobs in NYS including GHMC and several in other states. I had 6 interviews and zero job offers. This had NOTHING to do with COVID!!!! I informed my teacher that I could no longer pursue a career in Surgical Sterile Processing in August. I needed a job, not b.s. promises. Fast forward to mid-September when I was informed by another source that the students were being allowed back into GHMC, oh, and BTW, they had HIRED 2 students - one in June and the other in August. Funny, but when I applied I received an email stating that the positions had been closed. FWIW those two students are 24 years old; I am 51 with extensive work experience and a college education. BOCES needs to tell applicants upfront that if you're over 50 don't bother applying for ANY of these medical classes. It was all fine and dandy to get my UNREFUNDABLE $7,000+. I am very sorry I believed BOCES literature about how the medical field was growing and how many people would be needed to fill positions. Only people under the age of 30!

That's how we've always been treated, and it's how we'll always think of the incredible group of people here. The care and attention both of our children have received has been nothing short of exemplary. They've truly thrived at Little Pals, and we can already see how the foundation this school provided has played a big role in their success beyond preschool. It's a big thing to send your firstborn off to school. Harder still when that happens at the tail end of a pandemic like it did for us. Is this the right school academically? Will my child adapt socially? Will they thrive? Little Pals checked all the boxes and then some. They made our children feel safe, comfortable, and genuinely cared for, while also setting high academic standards. And they did an outstanding job with us parents too! Calming our nerves (especially this parent), and making everything feel right immediately. We've never doubted our choice for an instant. Our children leave Little Pals with a solid academic foundation: recognizing and writing letters and numbers, early sight words, counting to 100, and reading beginner books with confidence. Their handwriting improved tremendously; they developed strong problem solving skills and a genuine love of learning. They still talk about songs, lessons, and moments from class. It's incredible to see how far ahead they've been - both academically and socially - compared to where I remember being at that age. Communication is excellent. In addition to parent/teacher conferences and detailed reports, the teachers were always available to chat. I never felt rushed, and I can be quite talkative! There are field trips, an open house, Christmas concerts, and family night, all of which made us feel connected to the school and involved in our children's early education. There are always activities and plenty of pictures. Our kids made friends - and we made friends too! We've experienced just about every aspect of Little Pals, from the toddler room to aftercare for our first grader. Our kids attended summer camp here, and even brought their cousins along! That's how much we trust and value this place. I truly cannot say enough good things about this school.
