These days, to find a decent spot that does inspections, you gotta travel. So, based on the other Yelp reviews, I trekked up to Edge Motorsport in Sloatsburg to get the inspection sticker on my new ride. Their shop is great with a lot of cool cars in the lot and in for things. There was a fabulous ABT modified Audi, a Murcielago in for what looked like a major, and a few other fine German, English, and Italian marques. The people here are great, too. Friendly, knowledgeable... exactly what you want in a nice shop to take care of your fine motor car. ;) I didn't have an appointment, but rolled in on a random Thursday. They took my car in immediately and took care of the inspection -- and even installed that dash cam that I'd been meaning to get to but haven't because I've been too busy... Helped me out in a bind, were honest with the work and estimate. I loved how laid back the environment was and how friendly the person greeting me along with the tech I worked with was. I hope our car won't break anytime soon, but if I ever need help with anything European, Edge will be the only place I'll go. P.S. even though most of the cars in their shop are higher end, they still treated our 11 year old Audi with the same love and respect, while the repair estimate was more than reasonable.

He brought a little drill to get the lug nuts off and don't realize that there were caps on the lug nuts. Although I think we still may have been in the predicament we were in cuz some of the lug nuts were seized they may have had an easier time with the proper equipment. He was nice at least and was able to find us a spot that could do it and towed us there.

I had a medical EMERGENCY, it was so bad i had to pull the car over and call an ambulance. I literally pulled my car one exit before where their lot just minutes away, i'm pretty sure they just drove it by the looks of the inside everything was changed. Anyway, got charged 270 bucks for them to either drive my car or tow it so close to their lot. When i ask why so much for that such a short distance, they responded with, "everyone has to make money". HA! Yeah we all do, i worked 8 hours to make that amount of money, not 8 minutes to take advantage of someone who was sick and had to be taken to the hospital with no choice in the matter of whom was towing my car. State troopers called them i guess because they are a state authorized biz, they were there as i got in the ambulance. I made sure to call the troopers to get a report and to let them know what happened and they were sympathetic. They (Jan's) had a total attitude when i asked why so much and asked if they could work with me, and also hung up on me when i tried to call and dispute...now that i read all the reviews i totally get it!!!! One or two 1 star reviews can happen to anyone, but not this many...I hope people read the reviews if they're even going to consider hiring people who do business like this, but i'm sure not enough people do because it's usually some sort of emergency, so they're used to taking advantage of people. Oh course people have to make money and of course i was upset for the overcharging, but to me this is just ethically wrong.
