Despite confirming a "reservation" by email, I called as instructed and was told there was no way I was getting a ride from the airport to the cruise terminal. A reservation means nothing with this company. Be prepared to have alternate means of transportation. read more

SAS Transportation was hired and booked thru Fantasea Vacation last October 2025, for pickup at Embassy Suites, in Fort Lauderdale to the Miami cruise port on Sunday, May 10th, 2026 and then again a week later, on Sunday, May 17th, to Fort Lauderdale Airport. The pickup on Sunday, May 10th went well, with no issues. The pickup on Sunday, May 17th, was a disastrous experience that resulted in a NO SHOW. I received a text early that morning, at 6:42 am, asking me what time I would be leaving the ship. I told him our scheduled disembark time was at 8:40 am, followed by picking up our luggage, I expected to be outside before 9 am. I received no response to this. At 8:50 am, I texted the driver to let him know we were outside, and asked where we should stand and wait for him. His response: "We have no vans on the Port and will not be back until after 10". At 10:30, having stood in the heat, with no chairs, I phoned him at: 954-600-0240. The gentleman who answered said he was stuck in traffic, that it was like a circus. I asked how much longer? He could not say. I asked again where should be wait for him. Again, he gave no designated area, and said he would call me when he was at the port. At 11:30, still waiting, and no sign of SAS, I called him. No answer. Tried again. No answer. Finally, at 11:50, I hailed a cab, who drove us to Fort Lauderdale Airport, costing me $120. There was no backlog of traffic at the cruise port, and no problem with our taxi getting to FLL Airport in record time. Needless to say, SAS never called me, nor texted. This sort of treatment is totally unacceptable, not to mention unprofessional and outrageous. We were two senior ladies, 68 and 76, who waited for 3 hours. To have this happen at the end of our cruise was beyond frustrating, not to mention exhausting. The website promises to "Be on time, Be courteous, and Superior Customer Service is the hallmark of SAS Transportation." My driver text me at 8 am to verify pickup and location, 15 min after scheduled time I text to see if he had a eta. I got a one word response "no". After being an hour and a half late to pick me up I finally canceled and got an uber. I get the port gets busy and delays happen. However people pay a lot of money for these cruises and being late can cost you your cruise. I will not be using SAS in the future. read more

I did not read recent reviews before I boomed because we used SAS in 2023 and it was great. That was a mistake. Pickup at the hotel in Gort Lauderdale was good. But they did not show up or communicate after the cruise. We are in our seventies and I am blind. We were left standing at the cruise terminal in Miami for hours. We got outside at 7:15 a.m. and started calling at 8:10. The first call went through, but it rang and rang with no answer. The next calls did not even connect. Were we blocked? I also sent them three emails, asking for help. Still no communication from them 2.5 days later. We eventually (after more than two hours of waiting) took a $92 Uber to get to our car in Fort Lauderdale. Do not trust this company! read more

Think Seinfeld: they took the reservation, they just did not hold it. Pickup window was 10:00 AM-11:00 AM. At about 8:00 AM, I replied within 10 minutes, stating we would exit the ship around 9:30 AM. I was told pickup would be closer to 11:00 AM. At 11:30 AM, after never showing up, the driver called asking if we were still waiting and blamed us for being late, despite us confirming timing hours earlier and waiting through the entire pickup window. We had to change our flight and take an Uber, with the combined cost totaling over $200. Past service was average. This experience was unacceptable. Avoid like the plague. We have used sas a few times in the past, however, today, Feb 22 was a disaster. We had a phone call and text to confirm our pick ip at Port of Miami for 10 am. The driver let us know traffic was crazy and would be there as soon as he could. Then nothing. No more communication, no pick up. Tried calling and texting the main number and the driver. We were pretty much ghosted. After 2 hours, finally an answer to many texts to maybe we should find an alternative ride to fort Lauderdale. Yes, the traffic in Miami was ridiculous an, ok if they couldn't get there at least message before a 2 hour wait. I was even recommending sas to other passengers. They need better communication. I confirmed my pick up the day before. Got an All Set response. Then on the day of pick up I got a call they would be late due to traffic. After waiting an extra 1/2 hour with no communication, I texted the driver and tried to call numerous times. Finally got a message back that they weren't coming. Don't use this company. I wish I would have read some of these reviews before booking with them. My story is pretty much identical to several others here. We used SAS for round trip from hotel to port then port back to airport. Going to the port from the hotel, they were a little late picking us up, but no big deal. I got a text early the morning that we got off the ship to call and arrange for pickup once we were through customs. I did this and was told that it would be 10am be for we could be picked up, which was about 45 minutes. No problem at all, we had a later flight. At 10:30 I texted and asked for an ETA and got no response. So about 10:45 I called, but got no answer. I called again around 11 and still got no answer but my husband called from his phone immediately after and they picked right up. We were then informed that it worked be noon before we would be picked up because of traffic coming into the port, but at this point the traffic was pretty much gone. We then ended up getting Miami Blessings Transportation to take us to the airport right away. We had prepaid SAS but my elderly parents could no longer stand on the curb as we had already been standing for close to two hours at this point. Avoid, avoid, avoid. Highly recommend Miami Blessings though. They felt sorry for us and gave us a good deal on the price. read more

Come the time for pick up, a text and about 7 phone calls before they picked up the phone, they stated that they received the request but never got me on the schedule. Looks like everyone lately has had the same experience as our party. We paid in advance they picked us up at the hotel before the cruise but left us stranded at the Cruise Port after our cruise. We called and called and got voicemail. We received Larry's card from our trip down to the Port so called him too and he stated Steve would be picking us up. Others around us who did not prepay were being strung along also and they ended up getting other transportation or they would have missed their flights. Be prepared for them not to show up or respond. We used them for a cruise recently. Going to the port was fine, they showed up on time, got us to the port no problem. Coming home they no showed. Had a text from them at 6:30 AM saying to let them know when we were through customs. I sent multiple messages that were all "read" but they did not respond. Also had someone else in my party text the number and they were also read. No call or text back. Luckily we found another transportation company to bring us to the airport. We used SAS transportation back in November of 2022 for our shuttle from our hotel in FLL to the port in Miami. Our driver Owen was fantastic. He called me ahead of time to confirm our reservation and also to let me know when he was arriving. I would definitely recommend SAS transportation again and we will be using them again when we return to Florida in September for a shuttle from the port over to airport. read more

We have used them in the past and have had a good experience, but on February 4th the driver texted me and then ghosted me for hours, I called the number that was texted from, I called the driver which drove us to the port and I also texted the number that called me, NO ONE from the original number would call me back. It was not till we were trying to find another ride 1.5 hours later and in the middle of a storm that someone from a company that they source out from actually called me back and said he just got my number. I have emailed them numerous times to find out what happened only to be ignored. I know have the number of the other company that picked us up. We have used SAS for a few years. They are very reliable. When we land at FLL they call to let us know where to go. At the cruise port they do the same. We know we can rely on them to get us where we need to go. Highly recommend them. Fee is reasonable too. read more

We have used SAS many times over the last 10 years. They have always done a good job for us. However, This time was much different. We booked shuttles from Ft Lauderdale Hotel to Port of Miami for 4 people then return to SAME hotel from Port. These were booked over a month in advance. The hotel we stayed at was not on the list on their website so I called and talked to Steven Stadowski. He said they would accomodate us. The trip to the Port went without a hitch. Even with Miami Marathon traffic. Took us 4+ hours to get to FT Lauderdale to the Port of Miami. Our Driver David Young was very Patient, friendly and professional. On the way back however things went way differently. When we went thru customs we were told to go to an area to get on a bus. The bus driver said they only go to the FLL airport. We were then told to go to an area where the shuttles pick us up. Our driver (NELSON) finally arrived. We told him where we were going and he said ok. After a couple of drop offs, we stopped at a Best Western Hotel and he said this was our stop. This was not the Best Western we are staying at. When I told him this, he said it was the only one he was going to. I showed him the confirmation we printed out and He told me to call SAS to figure this out. I did call and left a voice mail with STEVEN. NELSON acted like he didn't want to be bothered by the situation. After another drop and no word from STEVEN, He said the only place he could drop us off was the FLL airport. He showed absolutely no concern for helping us. He never tried to make a call himself. At one point he was about a half mile from our hotel. He finally stopped at a terminal ground transportation spot and said we needed to get out and find our own transportation the rest of the way. He slammed or luggage on the sidewalk and stood in front of me waiting for payment. I said we were not going to pay as we were not taken to our destination and now were going to have to pay even more to get there on our own. He said he did his job by getting us from the Port to the airport. I said this is not where SAS agreed to bring us. He said ok sir, F***Y** and sped off. I called Steven back to let him know what was going on. Left another voice mail and NEVER heard back. We did find a ride back to our hotel. We have never been treated like this before. We will never use SAS Transportation again. read more

Ground transportation can be tricky, and hit-or-miss, especially if you don't know the area. I had a cruise coming up out of the Port of Miami, with a flight into Fort Lauderdale, and no connection between the two arranged less than 24 hours before my flight. If you're not familiar with south Flordia, Fort Lauderdale is roughly 30 minutes from Miami. A taxi was out of the question because of the cost. I investigated Tri-Rail, the local rail service, and it would have worked, but it would have involved effort to coordinate my schedule with the train's, which wasn't regular enough to be pain-free. Enter SAS Transportation. I found their site, found the the $15 FLL-to-Miami cost to be more than agreeable, and submitted a reservation request the night of my redeye flight from Seattle to FLL. Within a few hours, I got an email confirming my reservation with the phone number to call upon my arrival, as well as a confirmation of the $15 cost. It came from an AOL email address, which is a yellow flag for many a tech-savvy fellow like myself, and, yes, perhaps SAS should consider hosting their email on their domain or via Google Apps to project a more professional image, but this is really a non-issue considering the quality of service. Upon my arrival at FLL, I had a voice mail from Miguel, the driver in the area. I called him back and within five minutes I was in an air conditioned van, on my way to the Port of Miami with a few other passengers. It couldn't have been smoother. After traveling cross-country on a redeye and connecting in Houston, it was smooth enough that I tipped the driver $10 and still considered it a great bargain. A week later, upon emerging from the cruise terminal, I called the phone number and within 10 minutes, Miguel was back, picking me up and bringing me back to FLL. My flight wasn't until much later in the day, and ended up being canceled because of weather in Houston, so my opinion that SAS Transportation was the most hassle-free part of the trip (outside of the cruise, which was lovely) was only underscored. Simply put, if you are traveling to south Florida and need transportation between airports and/or ports, definitely have a look at SAS Transportation. I won't hesitate to use them again. I found SAS online via Google search. A group of us (5 ladies) were taking a cruise. We arrived in Ft. Lauderdale at 4am and was not able to board the ship until 12noon. Our driver, Nelson was at the airport upon our arrival, stayed in constant communication until we were seated in his van. He had good information and gave us a brief tour as we headed to the port of Miami. He gave excellent suggestions for us to pass the time away. He gave us that extra need sense of security. On return trip was easy and complete. They beat everyone else prices even the cruise ships shuttle. SAS was better also because most places 1st shuttle is not until 9am, we were picked up, upon arrival. Will defintely use them again. I was about to (grudgingly) pay $80 each way to drive my son and I from a Ft. Lauderdale hotel to the Port of Miami for a cruise before I searched around and found SAS which offers the same for almost 1/3 that price ($15/person each way.) We were picked up promptly and transported in a new air-conditioned van. The van did stop to pick up other passengers and was completely full on the trip to the port, but wasn't completely full on the return trip. Expect some stops, and your pickup might be 10-15 minutes late, but the price and service were exceptional. read more

I was going on a cruise out of Miami and flew into Fort Lauderdale, so I decided to try SAS Transportation to get from my Ft. Lauderdale hotel to the Miami cruise port. I made reservations online for both the trip to Miami and the return trip to FLL. The SAS driver arrived at my hotel right on schedule and then made a couple more pickups before heading to Miami. He was a good driver and got us there safely and in good time. He gave us a little informal "tour" of Miami on the way, which was okay, but he used it to gripe about certain aspects of Miami as well. He also complained about a group he was supposed to pick up that never answered their phone, which I thought was a little unprofessional to do in front of other customers. Overall, though, the trip to Miami went smoothly. The cruise came and went and it was time for the return trip to FLL airport. I can't review that trip, because it never actually happened. I called the number I was given when I exited the cruise port. Steven told me that the driver was on his way from Ft. Lauderdale and it would be 30-40 minutes, which I said was fine. It was 9:18 AM. At 10:23 AM, I called Steven again and asked how much longer it would be. He sounded like he was annoyed that I had called him back (an hour after I was told 30-40 minutes). He said the driver was at the port, but there was a lot of traffic, so it might take a while. I really did not like his tone. I had been waiting over an hour for a ride I made reservations for over a week earlier, but he seemed to think I was just being impatient for no reason. From what I had seen when I was dropped off, the driver called his pickups when he arrived at the port, so I was expecting to be called any minute since the driver was supposedly at the port. There were quite a few black vans around, similar to SAS's, so for all I know the driver passed by me multiple times and I couldn't tell who it was.But I was still expecting him to call. They had my cell phone number on the reservation for that purpose. My phone never rang. By 10:45 AM, the port traffic was mostly cleared out, so there was no way he was still stuck in traffic in the port. At this point, I gave up on SAS (thankfully I didn't pre-pay) and requested a ride with a Lyft driver, who arrived in 4 minutes. He didn't have any trouble getting through the port. The Lyft ride was a few dollars more than SAS would have charged, but at this point I really didn't care. I was so glad to be on the way to the airport after standing at the terminal for an hour and a half. If I had waited on SAS, I would still be standing there right now. I gave them 2 stars only because the trip to Miami went very well. But that doesn't make up for the fact that they never showed up or even bothered to call when they were supposed to pick me up at the cruise port. Steven knew I was there and waiting. He obviously didn't care. I have read other reviews which mention trips with SAS being cancelled because there was only one person being picked up. I was there by myself, so I wonder if that might have been a factor here. Maybe picking up one person was not worth SAS's time and effort. We had to cancel our cruise due to COVID. Owner said we'd have a refund in a couple of weeks on March 31st. As now July 4th, no refund. He is no longer returning emails or phone calls. I get times are thought but please answer calls or emails. Maybe offer a future credit is you don't have the money to refund. read more

When I learned DCL's ground transportation picked up only from Miami Int'l I panicked. It was maybe 8 or 9 days before the cruise and I didn't know where to start, so I turned to the internet. Everything I read said that taxi services would be close to or more than $100 and limo services were obviously more expensive. I was prepared to pay upwards of $120 round-trip seeng that's what Disney cruise was going to charge, but I didn't know who to trust. I saw several links to reviews on trip advisor for SAS and decided to give them a call. They didn't take reservations over the phone, unfortunately, and I was nervous about the online process without a person to speak to. I tried to get colleagues from work to recommend services in the Miami and Fort Lauderdale area. Those services, for one reason or another, did not have jurisdiction from Fort Lauderdale into Miami. Embarking was less than a few days away so I put my trust in SAS and the online application process. For me that trust paid dividends. Immediately after submitting the online registration I received an email from Steve with instructions on what to do. It may have been automated but it was very clear on what the expectations were and what I needed to do and what the cost would be. We flew into the airport and our bags were a little delayed getting down to baggage claim, but once we had them it was easy to get down to the spot where Larry would pick us up, one of Steve's drivers. The Miami port is crazy busy, but I give total props to SAS for getting us to the ship in plenty of time and picking us up immediately upon disembarking from the ship. I would totally recommend them for anybody flying into the Fort Lauderdale airport needing transportation to the Miami port. read more

Recently used SAS Transportation for4 -person transport from FLL to Disney Cruise in Miami and back. Fare was $15/one-way/person. Web site was easy to use, emailed reservation which was confirmed promptly the next day. Vans were clean, waiting time for pick up was just a few minutes, both drivers were extremely nice and friendly and helpful with local info and overall I would highly recommend SAS Transportation and would use them again without question. I booked a cruise leaving from the Port of Miami, yet, I flew Southwest Airlines so I had to fly into neighboring Ft. Lauderdale. I searched for weeks to find a low-priced shuttle service and the cheapest I could find was SAS ($15, pp, each way from FLL to the Port of Miami). The website is no frills (not a dig) and it does the job. The reservations process is simple and you can book both trips (to and from the port). I received an email after I made the reservation explaining the entire process, when to call, where to stand, etc. and I was picked up probably 10-15 minutes after I collected my bag. The van was your standard "Econoline" van with a trailer hitched to the back for storage. Being a shared-ride service, we were packed in with probably 7 other people, for a total of 9 passengers. The driver was courteous and got us where we needed to be on-time, which is all I can ask for. On our return trip to the airport yesterday, I chose to use another service ONLY b/c I didnt have time to call SAS as I was instucted. They tried to charge me more than SAS but the guy came down on his price and I had to make a split second decision, because they were leaving right then. About an hour later when I was sitting at the airport, I got a call from SAS just confirming I was OK and still didnt need a ride. That is what great customer service is all about, folks. Great experience with this Company. I was traveling in the day prior to my cruise and needed dropped off at a hotel rather than the port. This was not an issue for them. I called after we had our luggage and a van was there within 10 minutes. Driver was courteous and the trip was smooth. After the cruise was over, I disembarked, made it through customs and gave them a call. They were there within five minutes. We circled around to pick up some other riders, this was totally cool with us as our flight was much later (the driver confirmed we weren't in a rush to the airport). There were a couple passengers dropped off at a hotel near the airport which I thought was convenient for them. The driver confirmed all flight times before making the decision to do the stop at the hotel first. Again, the driver was friendly, pointing out landmarks along the way and the trip was smooth. On top of the great service I thought the price was super reasonable ($15/person) compared to other services I was pricing. I would recommend this service to friends and use it again. read more

We took SAS to and from Ft. Lauderdale for our cruise out of the Port of Miami. It was quick and it was inexpensive. It was not luxurious, but it was comfortable and convenient. On the way to the cruise ship we made a stop at a convenience store for the convenience of some of the passengers who wanted to pick up some last minute supplies. On the return trip, we were picked up only minutes after calling curb-side at the pickup location and, while we were told drop off was only to the airport, the driver did drop us of in front of our hotel immediately outside of the airport (where we had been picked up), so they are very accommodating. $15/person (for two of us, with a generous tip, it was only $40 each way) each way is a great rate for this trip. Try getting a cab for anywhere near this price. read more
