A friend and I used SAS this month (September 2012) for transport from the Port of Miami to the Fort Lauderdale airport immediately after our cruise. We've used them before and once again the driver was on-time, polite and got us where we needed to be quickly. I booked online a week in advance and received a confirmation email the next day. As we were walking out of customs after the cruise, I called to let them know we had arrived and their van picked us up in about 2 minutes. After about 10 minutes of driving around waiting for latecomers from the ship, we were off to the airport. For $15.00 a person for a ride from POM to FLL, you just can't beat SAS. I wrote an equally good review of them last year on cruisecritic and I'm happy to see that they're still as good as they were back then. read more

I originally found out about SAS through trip advisor and went through their website to book transportation from Fort Lauderdale Airport to my hotel in South Beach, but I never received confirmation from them. I should have called them, but I didn't because my decision to book them was 3days before my trip and I read reviews saying that people didn't get replies from booking 2 months in advanced! I figured that it was a scam so I forgot about them. When I arrived in Fort Lauderdale, I should have turned my cell phone on right away because Carlos called and was waiting for me! Instead I only received his message after I arrived in my hotel by means of public transportation (fun, but long experience). After my cruise, I was planning on doing the public transportation again until I saw a SAS transportation van pull in. I immediately walked up and asked if it was possible to catch a ride with them even though we didn't have a reservation. Caesar asked us to call Steve to let him know what we needed and told us that he'll be back (he needed to keep circling around the terminals because he couldn't be parked). This shows that Caesar was very honest and reported all passengers on this transit. (he could have easily driven us and pocketed the money since we didn't have a reservation). This is the fastest, cheapest, most comfortable way to get from Miami to Fort Lauderdale. I wish I didn't miss the transportation TO Miami. I came home and checked my spam folder after reading reviews on Yelp (I didn't read them prior to the trip) and found the confirmation the day after I booked it. No doubt that I will use SAS again next time I am in Florida. The pick up from the airport then hotel to cruise port then cruise port to airport were all on time and all drivers communicated very well. Absolutely no complaints at all. I can see why some bad reviews pop up because people are dumb and try to change things after everything has already been arranged and get mad once they are told no. What a great service and a great price. I will definitely use SAS again if I ever need transportation from Fort Lauderdale Area to Port of Miami. I found out about SAS from the CruiseCritic.com forums, then read up a bit on Yelp. That was enough for me, I sent an email, quickly got a reply, confirmed I would be there. We actually flew in the night before, so I took a cab from FLL airport to the Diplomat Hotel in Hollywood. I think the cab fare was pushing $30 for a much shorter trip then the next day with SAS. I then got a call the next morning telling me that they would be at the hotel in about 30 minutes (I scheduled for 11.00 am, the call was at 10:25am) and at 10:55 AM this big, new, clean, air conditioned black Mercedes van pulled up. We were the last stop, so the van was full, but the driver loaded our bags and headed south to the port. We got a bit of a tour commentary pointing out things as we drove south. For my first time in Florida, that was appreciated. Delivered about 30 feet from where we needed to check our bags at Carnival. I definitely appreciated the service and the fact it worked as promised, or better. We were given instructions on when to call on return (after clearing customs). I called when I got thru customs (took about 2 minutes to clear immigration/customs) and was told to go meet out at the island with the palm trees. Walked across the taxi area to the island and in about 2 minutes an SAS van showed up pulling a trailer for our luggage. We loaded our luggage in the trailer and climbed in the van. We were the last pick-up, so the van headed North. I was worried about making a filght at FLL at 12.30p with the disembarkation, the shuttle, etc.... Well, all that worked way easier than I imagined, and we were standing in the FLL airport at 8:15am, more than 4 hours early. I could have even caught earlier flights, thanks to SAS. When in SoFla and needing transportation, I will use SAS again. Great service at a fair price. Perfect to what was promised. read more

I am generally a huge fan of this company. Have used them multiple times getting from Ft Lauderdale to Miami. In the past my experiences had been great. My most recent use, 3/30, was not the greatest of experiences. I felt that they squeezed people into the shuttle to avoid having to use a second van. I was one of the last people picked up and was forced to climb to the rear seating bench and was uncomfortable the entire time as there was simple not enough room. For $15 from FLL to South Beach, I can't complain much. They did what they needed to do, but our driver was a little rude and non-responsive to our questions. He also didn't know where our hotel was, so I had to pull out my phone and GPS it. I would definitely recommend SAS for your shuttle needs, just don't expect much service. read more

Made online reservation two nights before the trip for FLL to Port of Miami. Steve emailed me within an hour or so and gave me instructions for pickup. Larry picked us up the day of our trip at FLL and was on time and had a nice van. He was a cruise director at one time and gave out a lot of helpful tips. Miguel picked us up on the way back in a van that wasn't as nice as the other trip. He was also a little more anxious than Larry. Other than that, they got us to where we needed to be on time. Service less than stellar on 2/11/16 Port of Miami to FLL. After leaving ship at 0715 we quickly connected wit driver and escorted to van. I asked on way to van how long we'd wait for additional passengers because I had concerns about making it to FLL in time for 1000 flight. Driver said he'd have us there in plenty of time. After waiting in van for 30 minutes the driver said he had found us another service that would get us to FLL same price. We did make it to airport in time but dealing with the hassle and stress left a bad impression of SAS service. read more

What a pain in the ass. My sister reserved seats in the van for all of us in advance. My family and I all arrived from different cities on various airlines at the Ft. Lauderdale airport and met up. That was easier than finding SAS van. My sister called repeatedly over the span of 45 minutes - most of the time no one picked up. The times when someone did, they just kept saying the driver is on the way. While we were waiting we saw several transportation companies' vans coming and going on a regular basis. My sister then said that the van should be nearby and that we should keep a look out for it. The fucked up part is that the SMALL logo on the van was on the back right side, So basically by the time we noticed it, the van passed us. Some things just don't make sense. read more

Good airport service at the lowest price I could find. $65 from MIA to Ft Lauderdale for two people on a Sunday night, $50 on the way back on a Monday morning. One of the two drivers we had was a little too chatty for my taste -- I do NOT need to know about a driver's boxing-related head injuries. Also, he admitted completely forgetting about a fare once. But for us, they got the job done, helped us with our luggage, and were both nicer and cheaper than the always-scary Miami International Airport taxi drivers. read more

Found SAS after seeing good reviews on trip advisor. Initially no email response but found out after calling they were using a phoney looking AOL email account that Gmail spam filtered. Steve needs a "real" email address using the SAS domain but that's where my complaints end. Airport pick up was pretty fast, comfortable and friendly. Pick up after our cruise was lightning fast and again comfortable and friendly. With lot's of time to kill at the Airport I can write this review. Overall a very good experience and you can't beat the price and value. 15$ per person for the 40 minute ride to the Miami cruise terminal just can't be beat. read more

For $15 from FLL area to MIA area you cannot go wrong with SAS. On our return to FLL we noticed other companies trying to charge people $85!!! GFY I would have told them. Anyway, pick-up from our hotel wasn't on time but she still go us to POM by 12 and we were the 1st ones dropped off. On our return I contacted them before and after customs and they told us to wait under the white awning. This would have been fine had there not been hundreds of other people and van lines in and out constantly. But, someone came looking for us and double checked we were who we said we were and we were shortly on our way. If I ever find myself needing to get from FLL to MIA again I would def use SAS again. read more

We had a party if 11 and needed a ride from FLL to Miami port. They showed up on time and the ride both ways went very smoothly. Drivers were courteous and drove safely. We had booked a shuttle with SAS for April 29th and gave our flight information. I also told them I had a small mobility scooter and was worried about having the space for it in the van. They assured me it would be fine. Our flight was a little late arriving but I had given SAS our flight info so I knew they would be aware of our arrival. We went outside and waited where the shuttles stopped and no SAS vehicle arrived for us. We called them twice (at great cost because we don't have cell service in the US). Both times there was no answer. We were stressed out because we only had a couple of hours to get to the ship before it sailed (without us). We finally had to pay a van driver $100 to take us to the ship. The SAS shuttle was supposed to cost us $30. When we got home after the cruise I contacted SAS and they said they would send me the $70 extra that it cost me. That was about 6 weeks ago and I am still waiting for the money. I have been told a few times the "cheque will be sent" for no cheque has arrived. If I ever get the money I will post it here. To say we were disappointed is an understatement. read more

We used SAS as our shuttle service to and from Fort Lauderdale Airport to the Port of Miami for our April 2012 cruise. I was more than satisfied with their service and will book with them again for our next 2 cruises. I will also encourage my family and friends to use SAS shuttles for future trips to Florida. PROS: easy on line booking, friendly customer service, answers telephone calls (very important when your flight is early or delayed), made all flights and connections as scheduled, driver was friendly and informative, vans clean with comfortable seats,passengers not packed like sardines,etc...I can go on and on CONS: Too bad they don't operate the LAX area because we need more passenger service oriented companies like SAS in So cal!! We recently took a cruise out of Miami and had SAS Transportation pick us up at FLL airport. They were awesome! They were at the airport waiting for us when we arrived, the cost was inexpensive and the driver was very courteous and professional. We took a chance based on Yelp reviews so hopefully this review will also help someone plan their trip. Emailed these guys to get an estimate for my FLL to Miami port and then back trip but never got any response! I ended up going with Jiffy Jeff and liked it. The only reason I am giving 2 stars is because upon our return from the cruise, Jiffy Jeff accommodated us with SAS driver and the driver was much better than the Jiffy Jeff driver. I guess all these shuttle companies know and work with each other if there is a need for it. SAS driver was very friendly and informative. The whole way he was guiding us about the city, different areas, famous buildings etc. all by himself and not anybody asking about it. I wish Jiffy Jeff driver was like this too. We had a great service from sas. We used them from hotel in fort Lauderdale to Miami cruise port. Driver told us about different areas as he was driving. And on the ride from cruise port to hotel was on time. Traffic was slow going but was fine as we were in no hurry. When I mentioned I didn't know how we were getting to the airport for a 630 flight he volunteered to pick us up. He called and said he was on his way. When he got there he was very sick but he promised after he dropped us off he was going back home to bed. Both drivers were very friendly. read more

Just wanted to put this out there to everyone be careful if your using SAS Transportation they just canceled on us 5 hrs prior to pickup at FLL and said they had another obligation and to find our own way to Downtown Miami. I have used SAS as my transportation from the Port of Miami to FLL twice now and both trips were perfect. For my trip this week the driver texted me early in the morning asking what time I planned on leaving the ship, from there all I had to do was call him when I was walking to customs and he was waiting for me when I walked out. Very easy and reliable service. He even had room for a couple of my friends that had their original transportation plans fall through. Will definitely use SAS again in the future. read more

I don't think you can beat the cost for a shuttle from Ft. Lauderdale to Miami Cruise Port. Service was great. We did a round trip. The shuttle from Ft. Lauderdale to Miami was approximately 20 minutes late but we gave ourselves buffer time so it was not an issue for us. We had an infant with us; rode free which was huge. We booked SAS based on their ratings and great price, unfortunately they were over 40 minutes late and when I called it went to voicemail. We had no choice but to find alternate transportation. Once we were on the rode and headed to the Miami port SAS called and he was extremely mad and rude saying NEVER to call them for their service and abruptly hung up on me! As much as I would have liked to call him back to explain HE WAS AT FAULT, We didn't want this minor set back to be the start of our vacation so we just smiled and deleted them from our contacts. read more

We've used SAS 2 times to get to and from Ft Lauderdale to Port of Miami. The first time we used them we were set up by a travel agent and the other time I set up by myself, so not sure if that plays a part. The first experience in 2016 was five star worthy, we were picked up by Steve who was very accommodating and prompt. The second experience in December 2018 not so great. Got a call from the driver who said he would be at the airport soon to pick us up and we were told to wait outside. Well, 30 minutes goes by and no driver so I called and he said he was on his way still. He finally arrives after 45 minutes and this van was very small and had a trailer attached for luggage. We stopped to pick up people and they had too many bodies on this ride, so much so one child had to sit on the mother's lap on school bus style seating which doesn't seem safe. This was nothing like the large van from 2016 that had comfortable seating and space for luggage in the rear. The AC wasn't really getting to the back either so it was not a comfortable ride. We finally get to the port of miami and got on our ship. After vacation on the return trip we called SAS and were told to wait with our bags and someone would be there shortly. We waited for nearly an hour in the hot sun and rain with no where to sit while we actually thought about getting a taxi instead. I call and am told the driver is on the way. I understand delays, but please communicate so people can sit inside with their children in the hot Florida weather if it's going to be a longer wait. Don't give false pick up expectations. Also, don't shove so many people in the vans. We will be looking for another transportation company sadly as we don't want to be packed in, breathing on top of others, and picked up late again. read more

I was flying in to FLL and had little cushion on top of travel time to arrive at the Port in Miami for a cruise. SAS was the best price, let me rsvp online, was at the door in minutes to pick us up on both ends, was quick and friendly. the owner and apparent only person who answers the phone is not only an asshole and the worst customer service person EVER, but WRONG. When you read this, and you should, because the act of giving this man even one penny is an act your soul will forever hate you for as he is that big of a total asshole, you will also wonder why I even considered this service again after my first two experiences. I think its cause I'm lazy. And cheap. However I would rather invest the time and pay more money if that is what it takes for me NEVER to use sas again. The first one star review is for the first time/encounter with sas. There will be a second one that encompasses my interactions since stupidly trying to book another one. So the first time used him was in November, my mother and I flew into fll and were going on a cruise from Miami. She was so proud of herself for checking on yelp and finding so many wonderful reviews about this place. After talking to Steve a couple of times, I know he can't have that many friends to write fake reviews for him so will guess that most people book online and avoid ever having to talk to him. The guy was only a few minutes late picking us up at our hotel. Which wasn't a big deal, but we were among the first passengerl. However he was totally flustered and told us that we would be a bit behind cause he had to pick up a lot of people. This again was fine as we booked an early shuttle. English was not his first language and there could have been some confusion there.. This is where it got bad. I don't know if the driver was new or unaware that big chain hotels (holiday inn, days inn, etec), have more than one location but he went to two that were not right, and our 30 minute ish shuttle became one that was over an hour. He spent the drive continuously apologizing but when a passenger suggested that he call the others who had booked to confirm what hotel location they were at, he brushed their suggestion aside. Despite driving us a half hour to the wrong hotels, he did not offer any discount and was frantic. However, he is nothing compared to the horrid person that steve the owner and 'only' person who answers the phone is. When I read about SAS I was hesitant to use them. I was extremely happy I made my reservations w them. I made my online reservations the night before & called them as soon as I landed. We reserved with SAS in Aug & Sept for FLL to Miami Port and return. They were on time with a large van and trailer to hold all our luggage and the others in the van. Did the loading and unloading. Scammers! Booked through their website which said the driver would take credit cards for our transport from port of Miami to Ft. Lauderdale airport. When we arrived at the airport he said he didn't take credit card and conveniently didn't have change for the $100 dollar bill (only cash we had since we expected to pay with credit card). Great price and super quick too! We needed to get from the FLL airport to Port of Miami for a cruise. We reserved online and got an email with the phone number to call when we arrive. They arrived within minutes after calling both times (there and back). $15 per person is a great price! The drivers were very organized, had papers that they followed to know when to pick up whom in order, and got us there quickly. We found another couple that took a taxi and paid $120 for the same trip just going to the port. Another shuttle service wanted to take $25 per person. We used SAS to take us from FLL to the Port of Miami. I made the reservation online. It was quick and easy. I received my confirmation email with instructions to call when we arrived. After we landed and had our stuff together, I called Steve and within 5 minutes the driver was pulling up. He was super nice. We picked up till the van was full and then we headed to the port. Learned about SAS from an Internet search because I needed transportation from Port of Miami to FLL. They were ready for me when I walked out of customs and after picking up a few others from different Cruise-lines, we were on our way to the airport.
