When picking a photographer, it's a good idea to check out past work on their website so you can get a feel for the types of pictures you can expect. ...for whatever the occasion may be: -Wedding pics -Newborn photos -Business headshot -Annual family portraits taken so that grandma will get off your back already because she finally has something to share with her book club, which really isn't a book club but just a sham so that grandmas alike can get together once a month and boast about their grandkids, and talk about which one really should be in show business because they have a beautiful smile inherited from THEIR side of the family ... but as usual, I'm digressing here. The point I'm trying to make is, after you read my review, check out the SRP website to see Sascha's work. I think his stellar pictures will demonstrate the classic, timeless, & gorgeous photos that he will deliver. And now here's what his website won't tell you and the real reason why I'm yelping about SRP. Sascha is accommodating, patient, and totally makes you feel at ease even when you're fretting about your two toddlers running around like mini tornadoes. He doesn't force pictures to "be", he seems to just wait for it to happen. ...And it does happen, for him. When I got our family portraits back from Sascha, I wondered: How did he get my typically frenzied toddlers to look like mild mannered little cherubs? How did he make me appear to be a normal human being instead of the sweatpants wearing, non-hair brushing mom that I feel like I am on a day-to-day basis? Lastly, Sascha was able to offer me the option of getting all our edited pictures on digital format. Sascha photographed our NYC elopement and did an unbelievable job. We traveled to NYC (from Orange County, California) to elope at City Hall. Being December we were gambling on the weather-I was a little upset that it was drizzling/misting during the morning and on the drive to City Hall. I am still in awe with what Sascha did with rain backdrop. He created such a perfect pictorial concept of our special day that I could not have even dreamed up. We engaged Sascha to photograph out elopement at the courthouse and I could not have asked for a better photo experience. Prior to the big day Sascha was responsive to all my many questions. He recommended florists and hair stylists. We booked Sascha for 4 hours of photography expecting 2 hours at the courthouse and 2 hours around the city. I was worried because the courthouse portion of the event took longer then expected but Sascha stayed with us longer without request from us. Sascha provided 3 pictures within 15 days of the wedding for a after the fact bridal shower at no extra cost. We received all of our pictures within the contracted 30 days. The pictures were amazing and he got such a good variety. Very few pictures were staged. I only wish he would have gotten more family photos but that is my fault as I did not request these. I do reccomend looking at his website of getting married in Manhattan as it is obvious he uses the same locations for many of his bookings. Many people I showed the pictures to claimed they were the best wedding photos they have ever seen. I can't wait to look back on the pictures and the happiness he captured. read more

Memories of our baby's first days! Thanks to Sascha, we have a set of precious pictures of our son from his first few days home. Sascha's pictures captured everything we remember about him as newborn. They are now our "definitive" memories of those first few days after he came home, which were such an emotional and life-changing time for us, as this was our first. I don't think we even realized just how important it was to have these beautiful pictures until we looked back and noticed how much our son has changed, and he's now only a few months old!
