Sadly, a big disappointment for us - we drove pretty far off our route to experience a dairy farm tour and see the animals featured & sadly neither were an option - summer only and it's on us for not calling ahead. The route there was really rough bc the 7 miles off the main town we drove was under construction - all gravel (glad we were in a rental), sadly did not see any cows on all the farmland we drove past, but did see a large horse farm. Sassy Cow itself is basically a large modern farm style building with a wide selection of their ice creams and a grilled cheese menu, which is great if you set your expectations for that. We didn't end up trying ice cream bc we anticipated a tour or animal petting area first and the line was really long, so can't speak to that, but people sure looked to be enjoying it. Solid spot for families - lots of room for kids to run around and play - so may be a perfect stop for others traveling and wanting to eat.

Always the best! Great ice cream at great prices and some very tasty grilled cheese sandwiches that I forgot to get pictures of. The adult special sandwich of the day we got came with a nice side salad. The special was a maple bacon grilled cheese and it was pretty tasty. It was nice to be able to dunk in maple syrup. We also had to get ice cream and we got single scoops of two flavors each. I went with fall flavors and the apple pie paired pretty well with the coconut cream pie. I also sampled the pumpkin pie, but they didn't have enough left to fill the dish, otherwise I would have subbed that in my dish. The other pair we got was the eggnog and the caffeinates cow. These two also paired really nicely together. I'm so happy it's finally eggnog season again and before we left, we had to buy some of their regular eggnog as well. The kids really enjoyed themselves playing on the tractor play structure outside and also with the little library, barn, and cows inside. It was a cold day, so I was really impressed by how many people were there, but with the quality product, weather doesn't matter.

I was there to take a farm tour on a Saturday. The ticket gives the address of the store. Once you reach the store, the direction to the actual farm tour location will be handed to you as a card. It takes another 5 minutes of travel to reach there. Not sure why it has to be done this way. The tour address is in Google maps. The additional hop will add 15 minutes to the journey. Farm was neat. Automation in the farm is impressive. Cows looked happy. Once the tour is complete, I was given a pint of chocolate (or regular) milk. I went to the farm store to try some diary products. I went for two 2 scoops of ice creams. Pistachio and butter peccan were my favorite flavors. Pistachio may be the best. There was not green artificial color to make pistachio ice cream look green. That was the best part of it. Plus there was a good amount of pistachio in the ice cream. Dark cherry chocolate and pie overload were really good flavors too. Price was reasonable. I also took some milk, cheese and other small items to take home. There were was a small slide and some tricyles for kids to play. Overall it was a simple fun filled place to be.

I loved it!! I was out this way for a work trip. Then saw the name of this place and made my coworker stop with me even though it was a little out of the way . It is so cute! I never have seen so many milk options before. The grill cheese was bomb and for the price the ice cream was good too! Also I love the merchandise. So I had to buy a sweatshirt. If I am back in the area I will need to stop back there and try more ice cream :)

This is an amazing place for the family! Between the good food, chill environment, and lots of stuff to do for the family. Definitely a must try at least once while in the area.

Holy cow! This was an amazing stop on an afternoon country drive with my Mom during my visit from out of state. This place is everything that's great about visiting Wisconsin: a multi-generation family business producing high quality dairy products at fair prices. The store is airy and inviting, with plenty of space for browsing or enjoying a sandwich or ice cream treat. You can check out the milk production and bottling line through the windows in the back. We enjoyed oversized scoops of their luscious ice cream and I bought a few pieces of cheese produced by other local dairies. I also picked up a half gallon of their lactose free milk which I enjoyed during the week. I'm bookmarking Sassy Cow for a return visit next time I'm back.

Really incredible ice cream served here and worth the drive. The strawberry ice cream is remarkable. The chocolate milk was frankly the best chocolate milk I've tasted in my life as well and can be found in both gallon, half gallon, and quart jugs. They also had some cows on the side of the building to see.

Still awesome! This time we had grilled cheese and tomato soup for lunch before ice cream. I especially enjoyed the soup, but went into a bit of dairy overload so only had a few bites of my sons ice cream rather than the giant turtle sundae I'd been anticipating. We had lots of fun playing in the corn again.

This is a great little spot to stop by for a quick bite or to spend a little longer playing and checking out the farm tour. We started by checking in and driving to the farm to lean more about how Sassy Cow Creamery came to be. It's been around for a long time and continues to be family owned which is really cool. You have the opportunity to see and pet the cows and We even got a pint of milk at the end of the tour! After the tour we headed back to the store for some ice cream. You can also grab lunch. They have a variety of grilled cheeses, salads and more. The little shop has some other local products and merchandise if you're looking for more. You may enjoy your food inside or outside. After eating, there is a small play area. My niece loved the corn pit!

Great ice cream and store. Friendly staff. Seating is very limited but on a nicer day outdoors is welcoming ( it was raining heavily when I was there)

Oh rats! I was hoping this place'd be better…read more.. Driven past this on roadtrips many a time; decided to actually stop in and check it out on the most recent trip. I'd been drawn in by the silly rodent statue on top of the building, because I like touristy shops. Upon entry I immediately realized the place was kind of dingy and gross. We got there with about half an hour 'til closing and this fact certainly showed in the affect of all the employees. I was curious about sampling some of the cheeses, but all of the employees were apparently too busy getting ready to close to help us, so we didn't get to try any of the many varieties. It was a bit odd to me to have potential customers there in the store during business hours, and the employees are steadfastly ignoring our presence to turn off the lights and such. We took the hint, quickly used the restroom, made a small courtesy purchase, then left. Speaking of the restroom, the floors were really sticky. Eww. Noticed they had lots of signage up that they were hiring. Yeah, they should probably hire someone who gives AF, if I'm being really honest, cuz it seems to me this place probably was great at one point but has fallen into disrepair. I got a couple pieces of taffy and hubby got a bag of nuts. We could tell from the taste/texture that these items had been sitting for awhile. I'm not a proponent of wasting food, but if your store can't turn products around before they're expired, I recommend perhaps just not selling those things and stick to cheese... Anyway, reckon we'll try out another of the many cheese shops in Wisconsin next time we drive through. There's certainly plenty to choose from!
