It's funny, because from the outside, this place looks old, but it's well kept inside and the employees are as nice as could be. I live about 200 miles away, but he's from Milwaukee so it made sense and I appreciate it. Anyway, it was the end of the season so they were only selling pre-boxed creams and nuts inn1 lb. boxes. These were the best chocolates I've ever had. Not a bad one in any of the boxes. No pinks, or oranges, or lemons. Just the ones I love. Maple creams, coconut, vanilla, chocolate and then the nutty ones were fabulous. I like dark chocolate over milk chocolate but both were really good. I plan to visit Oshkosh in the next several weeks (for the first time), so I will definitely stop in at Hughes for a few pounds. I may actually get more than 3 lbs. because they freeze real well for future delights. I'm not sure what else there is to do in Oshkosh, but Hughes is gonna be on the list for sure.

I asked the employee for her recommendations and she was very helpful with that, as well as with explaining what some of the flavors were. There is also a list on the wall that explains their flavors in detail, and that list comes with each box as well. I opted for the machu picchu which is a year round flavor and the blood orange caramel, which is seasonal.
