    Reuben with fries
    Kurt P.

Hard-to-get-to, especially coming from the other side of the road. We ended up parking in the strip mall next door. We were seated immediately in the spacious booth-filled dining area. Our beverages arrived with moments of ordering. The portions are generous and the flavors are good, though the menu is mostly classic breakfast and lunch items. My wife had the Reuben and I had the BLTA. Our sandwiches were good, the ingredients on the sandwich's was of good quality (I like their bacon), and the bread is great. The prices seemed a bit high. With the upcharge for the sweet potato fries my BLTA was $23. Yes, I know about inflation, but it just seems high for a BLT with a little avocado smeared on it.

Good portion sizes, friendly staff make this restaurant a great choice if you are staying at Holiday Inn... since they charge you for food. The decorations are eclectic but fun. Give it a shot

Ate here on Valentine's Day and the service was great! Our server, I think his name started with a B, was so nice. Our food came out pretty quickly and was delicious. The strawberry French toast was fluffy with crispy corn flakes coating the bread. The hot honey chicken was delicious! Our server said it was really hot and recommended for the side, but personally next time we will be getting it on the chicken because it wasn't too spicy. It was perfect!

Let's just say, go hungry. Looking at the menu, the French toast was $8 for 1 piece so I asked how big it was and I'm glad I did. It was huge. I could only eat 2/3 of it along with my peppered bacon and eggs. The waitresses were very nice and helpful.

Went here for breakfast and was satisfied. The food was decent, but I wasn't a fan of the french toast as the bread was pretty dry inside with only coating/batter on a thin layer on the outside. For such a large slice of bread I would think that they would soak it more. On the other hand, the sweet potato hash was delicious. The spicing on the chicken with the combination of sweet potato and other stuff was really good! The place is cute and roomy. Service was good.

This is their monthly special, a Fiesta Steak Burrito. It is absolutely delicious and we hope they add it to their regular menu.

This is their monthly special, a Steak Fiesta Burrito. It is absolutely delicious with a little spice. Steak, potatoes, peppers, onion, tomatoes in a pepper jack crusted tortilla covered in salsa verde with crisp Jalapeño topping. We hope they add it to their regular menu. Service was amazing as usual.

Apple Sinnamon Roll Swirl French Toast, Sweet Potato Hash Breakfast

The best breakfast spot in Salem! Came to visit Oregon on vacation and out of all the places we tried this was by far the best! We ordered the cinnamon swirl french toast that was covered in caramelized apples. Their maple and raspberry syrups taste home made and delicious! I had the sweet potato hash and it was amazing! Sweet potatoes, poached eggs, jalapeños, mushrooms and covered in a delicious sauce. It was so good I took this home for leftovers and ate it for breakfast the next day. The staff was so kind and attentive. They accommodated the wheelchair by giving us a big table with lots of space. The inside had an upscale diner feel to it. And they sell really cute Sassy Onion shirts! 10/10 breakfast I will be stopping here again on my next visit to Oregon!

Gluten free (3) Chicken Strips & Fries

If I lived here I would eat at this restaurant always! The chicken was so tender and delicious, usually I can only get the frozen strips from the store as a gluten free eater. The fries are well seasoned and crispy. The staff was very friendly and nice and the restaurant was clean and cute like a little diner.

Their ciders are great, I tried the Viking Cherry Cider and loved it so much I bought a six pack to take home, at $18 for 6 it was still absolutely well worth it. For food my coworker got the Fish and Chips, deep fried in beef tallow for those who avoid seed oils, and said it was excellent. I had a caesar salad and fries to go with my cider and it was a lovely meal. This will absolutely be one of our go-to spots when in Salem from now on.

The inside atmosphere is sports bar fabulous plenty of seating for groups or couples. We shared a juicy hazy IPA and an order of scotch eggs while sitting on the patio, which is shaded and comfortable with both picnic tables and bar-top seating. I was thrilled to find that the scotch eggs were not only delicious but also authentically prepared. The yolk was soft and slightly runny, and the crust was perfectly crisp and flavorful. This establishment is a true hidden gem. While the food prices are a little steep, the quality definitely makes it worthwhile. We will be back!

House made of course so it's even better than the store bought stuff in my opinion because it tastes like actual chocolate. I ordered the filet minion chicken fried steak and it was cooked to perfection. So juicy inside and crispy but not like overly cooked crispy on the outside! Topped with a hot gooey layer of house made sausage gravy. The overall size of this steak was about as big as my face. To complement this enormous steak was eggs, a biscuit & some smashed Yukon potatoes..like they were literally small potatoes they just smashed which was really different to me because I've never seen that before. I also had to order the infamous cinnamon roll pancake I been seeing floating around on other people's reviews. IT IS A MUST.. and if you are ordering it to take home make sure you have a piece of it while it's still hot and fresh because that was to die for. I won't go more into detail about it you just have to try it. It will speak for its self. Overall the dinning experience was great! Servers were more than happy to get you whatever you need. We sat at the bar so y'all should try their drinks because they looked so good and the bartenders looked like they were having fun making them. The restaurant is a literal house and while charming it is small and packed inside and the parking lot is also really small so you may need to get there early or expect to park somewhere else in the streets. We got there an hour after they opened and it was only a 30 minute wait thankfully. Will be coming back again to try other menu items!

We told hostess we did not want to sit at the bar, she sat us at the bar, after some more wait, we did get a table. Coffee was ok, but the cups were huge, always 2/3 full of cold coffee. The food took one hour to find our table. Nothing special, my wife had an omelet, with a big glob of Brie cheese, overpowering the omelet. I had corned beef hash that was extremely dry and salty. I also had warm rye bread. Not toasted. We were half done with our breakfast, and was given the bill, and boxes to go. Very rushed, crowded, and expensive. $58 for sub-par breakfast for 2. Sorry WOM, didn't cut it.

Turns out they're right next door, tucked back a bit from the roadway so easy to miss you and when you're sober. Glad I noticed it as we were driving off, as it's a great taphouse with a large number of beers on draft, in excess of 20 I believe. Service is very gracious, and you don't have to commit to official tasters, they're willing to pour you a little splash of several beers for you to figure out what it is you'd actually like to taste. That said, we opted to do an official flight of four IPAs, one of which was a hazy. All pretty interesting; ended up ordering a pint of one of them to share. Like a lot of tap rooms, they use the app DigitalPour to list their beers so you can check them out online if you like. We'll probably be back again. We didn't order any food while we were there, but what we smelled, and looked at appeared to be pretty good. I tried this at The Yard…read more It was....alright. Kind of expensive, but not overly bad for a food truck collective. I ordered an El Dorado, with barbecue sauce, onion rings, bacon, and cheese (tomato, lettuce, and onion are listed on the board. I declined lettuce and tomato but didn't receive any raw or grilled onions, just an onion ring. That was fine. However, the menu said onion rings and onions.) I chose the tater tots to go with it. I also ordered a side of mozzarella sticks. Not overly long to receive. The food was hot and clearly prepared fresh. However, I have a hard time not saying that literally everything I ate started off frozen. Consider the hockey puck, perfectly formed, crisp edged hamburger patty. Honestly, it didn't really taste like anything. Just...chew. Frankly, it made me think of frozen Bubba Burgers. Maybe the Angus one, to be fair, but it still didn't really taste like anything. Complete lack of seasoning, except maybe some sprinkled on, which is usually indicative of a frozen hamburger puck. The bacon and cheese were okay. Barbecue sauce was non-descript. Tots were...potatoes. Again, I felt like they came out of a generic food supplier bag. And the picture on the menu versus the actual mozzarella sticks? Yeah. Not the same. I recognized them from my drinking days the moment they came out. The exact same frozen mozzarella sticks that they serve at most bars. Big, thick, breading comes off the cheese pretty easily as they cool down, big hunk of solid cheese that starts off stretchy and turns into a solid block when cold. My 12 year old son and I didn't finish them, and both me and that kid love fried cheese. Look, it wasn't horrible. But I didn't finish it. And wasn't sad about it. And it cost an awful lot for that, all things considered. If you're at the Yard and just want basic American style diner food, go for it. You'll get what you ask for. But I don't see any reason to go there. Honestly, I have a better burger from Wendy's. :/
