This was an odd food for me. First, the place is 1950's kitschy fabulousness, it's worth a visit just to see the inside. I had hash-browns and one biscuit and gravy. I've never seen a dish like this without eggs and a side meat, but nope this is the food. Biscuit was delicious and the gravy was well cooked, but this was what bland looks like in the dictionary. The hash browns were under seasoned and under cooked, as was the gravy. So if you need really bland food, this is the meal to order, but the next time I go in I'm getting something with more flavor. This place is a hidden Gem! Never been here before. The food was super flavorful! Hashbrowns were perfectly cooked as well as eggs!! Pancakes were delicious and honestly the sausage links here are the best! I usually avoid ordering links for breakfast. The ones here are very flavorful. Everything came out hot from the grill. The Biscuits and gravy is HUGE. You might just want to order a half. And the French Toast was thick slices and very fluffy. The bacon was thick and meaty, not a lot of fat. I always enjoy Breakfast and Burgers. They have a decent menu and lots of variety for breakfast. So far I have only had their French Toast because it's my favorite breakfast. Their customer service has always been great and they always make our order correctly. My husband has eaten more than me, such as the chili cheese omelet, biscuits and gravy, and milkshakes. The highlight of this place are the battered fries I got the home cut fries which were okay,but the battered fries my husbands got were amazing and we ended up sharing them. They have a large menu selection and a desert cooler by the door. It's not very big seats less then 25 at most. I mean it's in their name they better do this right. Piled high and a real mouth full. I had some bacon fries as a side order. Just bought the whole meal together for me. I didn't have any dessert because I was so full but they had a nice display full of pies and cakes. A little something for the sweet tooth. Really good service and friendly. I had to take away a start because their hours are extremely inconsistent. We have tried to go at least three times in the last couple of weeks on week days around 3:00-5:00 and their doors are locked and lights are off or there are people inside but doors are locked. This place is cute at first sight. It's small, good amount of parking. Yellow and white building with a quirky door on the corner of the building. We walked in on a Sunday afternoon. Sat ourselves. There was just one large group sitting inside yammering. I saw the groups food come out and got excited. It was exactly what I needed after a night out drinking more than my share of liquor. They didn't have JUST burgers and breakfast, they also had a few salads and wraps to choose from. There are even a few pictures to look at. Inside was decorated over bright yellow walls. 50s style with random stuff all over the walls like an I Love Lucy license plate and a collage photo of Marilyn Monroe. We went in about 215 pm on Dec 10, 2021 and we had the worst service I have ever had in any restaurant. First when we got inside some stranger starting waving at me and said I should smile back at him and I said I don't even know you. Found a booth in the back area and got seated by ourselves. Then about 10 mins after being there our waitress came and stated our table was dirty and she would get it cleaned right away but then asked if we knew what we wanted. We said we haven't got a menu yet. She got our drinks came back and asked again if we were ready and after 3 times of saying we didn't have a menu yet we finally got one. She took out order and about 20 mins later we got it We both ordered burgers. I asked for no onions and no pickles but when delivered guess what had both. I waited for another 10 mins for her to come back with ketchup and she didn't. I went to counter and showed her my burger. She said she would have the cook remake it and she would be right out with ketchup. Nope didn't come out had to go get it. Then she stated my burger was ready and she would bring it out right away. Nope didn't happen. After another 10 mins still no burger. Finally got fed up and went and asked for burger to be a take out as tired of waiting. During the time we were there we were told it was Cooks first day and she had only been there a week. Also there was no one else in this place but us and the 4-5 employees that do work for this place (per the waitress). The strange guy went out the back door and lit a cigarette right next to door. Not 10 feet away etc. and apparently that's where everyone smokes. I am going to state that if the owner doesn't do something quick then he will end up with no business. If this is the kind of service he wants to have his employees giving customers then I feel sad for him. When we went to pay our bill we got to hear the old song and dance about how the waitress was going to take some off our bill for all the issues but also that the owner makes them take it out of their own personal pocket. I strongly DO NOT recommend going here to eat as you will not get your order for almost 1/2 hour and that it will not be correct. This place needs a lot of cleaning and repairs done to it and no, we did not leave a tip but had we been given good service we would have. And before anything is said, let me be clear I have worked as a waitress in the past so I know what service is and this wasn't it. read more
