My sister, her husband and I stopped in for a bite We all like brunch menus and this place popped up on a search. It's not much to look at but the food was excellent. We had omelets and biscuits & gravy. All the dishes tasted great. Our waitress was very nice and helpful with ordering. The look was 50's dinner but it was a little lack luster, but very clean and well maintained. If you want some good food, try them. read more

This was an odd food for me. First, the place is 1950's kitschy fabulousness, it's worth a visit just to see the inside. I had hash-browns and one biscuit and gravy. I've never seen a dish like this without eggs and a side meat, but nope this is the food. Biscuit was delicious and the gravy was well cooked, but this was what bland looks like in the dictionary. The hash browns were under seasoned and under cooked, as was the gravy. So if you need really bland food, this is the meal to order, but the next time I go in I'm getting something with more flavor. This place is a hidden Gem! Never been here before. The food was super flavorful! Hashbrowns were perfectly cooked as well as eggs!! Pancakes were delicious and honestly the sausage links here are the best! I usually avoid ordering links for breakfast. The ones here are very flavorful. Everything came out hot from the grill. Doesn't seem like anything sat under a heat lamp. The service here from the staff is great! I think this will be my new favorite place to eat on the weekends for Breakfast! read more

I always enjoy Breakfast and Burgers. They have a decent menu and lots of variety for breakfast. So far I have only had their French Toast because it's my favorite breakfast. Their customer service has always been great and they always make our order correctly. My husband has eaten more than me, such as the chili cheese omelet, biscuits and gravy, and milkshakes. I recommend. Parking lot is small, but there are side streets. They close early. read more

We tried what we thought was a little hole in the wall but it's actually quite roomy. We ordered breakfast and they were so quick. The food was so delicious. I got the hash browns with big chunks of onions and cheese. The eggs were cooked exactly the way we asked. My husband got the Chicken Fried steak with a biscuit and gravy on top. Today is my birthday and I was in the mood for a breakfast when it was officially lunch, and this place popped up in my head. I've passed it up a thousand times on the road and today was the day I finally gave it a try. I ordered the chicken fried steak and it was delicious!!! My family also ordered fish and chips, and a double cheeseburger. The portions were bigger then expected and the food was fantastic! My only regret is that I waited to long to eat here! The food and drinks were really good! Had the biscuits and gravy Plus, with the sausage patties, and the 2 Stack Plus, with bacon. Bot meals were very tasty and the drinks, unsweetened iced tea and strawberry lemonade, were also super good. When we walked in they seemed overwhelmed, and were apologizing throughout our wait for our food, because their online deliveries were non-stop. We were told to sit anywhere, but because of all the to-do/online orders we were forgot about until we went to the front. Now I'm not sure who this person was, only heard the waitress call him "Rob", but he very much soured our experience. Not sure if he worked there or not, witnessed him bussing tables, but he would also make random, very loud noises and was walking around without a mask on. He would go in and out of the establishment and choose different places to sit with his coffee cup, even coming back in smelling very different and off-putting. Overall he just gave off very strange vibes. We would consider going back if we are ever in the area, the food was good and service was decent, despite a little slow... Small little dive diner with a quaint atmosphere. We stopped for the burgers and they did not disappoint cooked to perfection and not a tad dry at all. The highlight of this place are the battered fries I got the home cut fries which were okay,but the battered fries my husbands got were amazing and we ended up sharing them. They have a large menu selection and a desert cooler by the door. It's not very big seats less then 25 at most. Serving is ginormous! Ordered biscuit and gravy and the gravy was thicccc with chunks of breakfast sausage. Honestly I've tried so many, but this place did gravy right! My bf got their pancakes with sausage and the pancakes were as big as my face! He really enjoyed them, fluffy and delicious! When price and food matches that price to me it's worth. This little place in Salem is finding its footing. There seems to be some remodeling going on. It makes for a little drafty and when it is raining outside well the rain is not coming in but it feels like it. It's a Pops hangout. Feels like a step right into a Jughead and Archie comic. Records hanging everywhere and nostalgia 50s and 60s artwork all over the place. The name is the best description. It is what it says it is. Decor and construction aside. Here, is where the stars come. The menu is simple and about as American as you can get. Seems, like everything is handmade. At least, that is my experience. Biscuits and gravy is always a good thermometer of how much attention to detail a restaurant gives. This place really hits the mark. A really good juicy burger. I mean it's in their name they better do this right. Piled high and a real mouth full. I had some bacon fries as a side order. Just bought the whole meal together for me. I didn't have any dessert because I was so full but they had a nice display full of pies and cakes. A little something for the sweet tooth. Really good service and friendly. The cooking was made to order so yes it did take a little bit longer but nothing that gets you antsy in your seat. As soon as the construction is done I could see this place getting a fourth star. I had to take away a start because their hours are extremely inconsistent. We have tried to go at least three times in the last couple of weeks on week days around 3:00-5:00 and their doors are locked and lights are off or there are people inside but doors are locked. We went on a Monday (yesterday) morning and they were open. We ordered the kids pancake breakfast, battered fries, a small chocolate milkshake, small strawberry milkshake, and eggs Benedict. The shakes were very good and so was the service. The food was good while it was brand new but as soon as it cooled down a little it tastes like bad oil or maybe butter was used? Not the worst but not very good. Will go back for shakes!!!! read more

This place is cute at first sight. It's small, good amount of parking. Yellow and white building with a quirky door on the corner of the building. We walked in on a Sunday afternoon. Sat ourselves. There was just one large group sitting inside yammering. I saw the groups food come out and got excited. It was exactly what I needed after a night out drinking more than my share of liquor. Diner type food. But they make it simple, burgers or breakfast. Turns out they had quite a large menu. They didn't have JUST burgers and breakfast, they also had a few salads and wraps to choose from. There are even a few pictures to look at. Inside was decorated over bright yellow walls. 50s style with random stuff all over the walls like an I Love Lucy license plate and a collage photo of Marilyn Monroe. It was sunny out and just enough sun was coming. The waitress brought us water quickly and was really nice. She had our food out quick and kept it flowing with the water. We got some burgers.
