I hit all of the breweries quite some time ago in Salem (also learned to drink more smartly after that trip) and a few more have popped up since. I didn't get the impression this place makes it's own beer as all I saw was guest taps... which is okay because the list was quite large. Looking in Untappd it does look like they indeed made their beer at one point and time and maybe they still do... I just didn't see any on the list. So tsking my own advice and drinking smartly I got a root beer here that was also on tap along with the beer. I don't recall who exactly made the root beer but it was from a brewery and some craft breweries make absolutely fantastic craft sodas and this one was very good! The place seems to have spacious seating but placing orders up at the front counter can get congested. This place is in a cool spot so despite not finding beer I still walked away from it feeling it was a positive experience. read more

Looking for this place, we almost missed it -- Waze led us to the recycling place next door, and we thought they went out of business ( nope -- going on 9+ years). Turns out they're right next door, tucked back a bit from the roadway so easy to miss you and when you're sober. Glad I noticed it as we were driving off, as it's a great taphouse with a large number of beers on draft, in excess of 20 I believe. Service is very gracious, and you don't have to commit to official tasters, they're willing to pour you a little splash of several beers for you to figure out what it is you'd actually like to taste. That said, we opted to do an official flight of four IPAs, one of which was a hazy. All pretty interesting; ended up ordering a pint of one of them to share. Like a lot of tap rooms, they use the app DigitalPour to list their beers so you can check them out online if you like. We'll probably be back again. We didn't order any food while we were there, but what we smelled, and looked at appeared to be pretty good. If we hadn't had such a large breakfast earlier at our hotel, we probably would've taken a flyer on something off their food menu; maybe next time. read more

First time trying this place. I had the B2 spicy chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries and cheese curds, plus what I think was a blackberry cider though I don't remember exactly. The happy hour menu is enough to give choices and reasonably priced. We ordered the half order of tots and a Bavarian pretzel. A perfect snack with our quality beers. The beer selection is diverse and ample. The ambiance is great and the fire pit warms the outdoor space nicely. The service is superb as well. Give it a try. read more

Great hidden gem of a place for its beer selection. Probably the best in South Salem for diverse tap choices. Lots of other beers and ciders to choose from in their fridge display case. It's not fancy by any means and a bit hard to find but if you're looking a great local hangout you can't go wrong here. I haven't ordered from the regular menu yet only have went for Taco Tuesday twice. I wasn't a fan of the fish tacos (too much spice for me). But the carnitas, chicken and ground beef were decent. I went on a spontaneous date day. It happened to be taco Tuesday. We got the 10 taco tray where you get three chicken, three carnitas, 3 fish, and one extra of your choice. They were good. They lacked flavor in the carnitas and chicken, the saving grace was the sauce. The fish was well cooked and delicious. We got some beer, they have a huge selection and even more in fridges off tap. This is a great location to chill and enjoy yourself, company or work. Great little tap house and brewery. We were right around the corner so we decided to stop for a quick beer. The girl behind the bar was amazing! Personable, friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. The bar was set up nicely with the beers on tap displayed on screens and there was a cooler of bottled and canned beer. After a long drive I wanted a simple, good burger and found one at b2 Taphouse. It was a little tricky to find on a rainy night since it's set back and you can't really see the sign, but once in the right spot there is plenty of parking. wish I wasn't in the middle of my annual dry out, since their tap list is long and varied (including Pliny the Elder!). The burger was excellent, they offered a good side salad in place of fries, and the staff are all friendly and attentive. My only wish was for a better NA selection since there are so many these days. I am not a fan of the seemingly ubiquitous non-boozy Athletic IPA which was the only thing they had. Have been here many times, tacos (any of them are legit). Bonus points for having to walk to counter, order food and drinks, and they give you the opportunity to bus your own table! This place has very nice outdoor seating with a central fireplace. Behind that is indoor seating and the kitchen. To the right from there are restrooms, then bar area with more seating and small area for Lottery games. We sat in the bar. The concrete walls create a sort of echo chamber. The squeals of children, booming game machines, and patrons completely drown out the background music. Many of the TVs were off. Those that were on showed baseball and an old western. We waited more than 30-minutes for food. My wife's pizza arrived with the jalapeños we said we did not want. My Philly cheesesteak was good. We ordered a burger to go that was never delivered. Asked about it after about 45-minutes. The bartender says, "Oh, yeah - it's under the heat lamp. Do you want it?" My son was understandably unimpressed with the burger and soggy fries. Probably will not go back. There are lots of alternatives in South Salem with better ambience and food, and staff that act like they are glad to have your business. read more

Lovely place to get a beer and stay a little while. The staff is helpful and accommodating, and all are wearing masks. The layout of B² is open and airy with plenty of spaces to sit both indoors and outdoors. Very clean and trendy space. You can even order your drinks via QR code at your table (each table has a unique code). I had a 16 oz Ex Novo and it was very good and refreshing! We didn't order any food, but the menu has many options ranging from burgers to hummus plates to tacos. Something for everyone. The food that was being brought out to other tables looked delicious. Another (important!) thing - VERY dog friendly! So much so that not only are dogs allowed (might I even say INVITED) on the patio, but they have their very own section of the menu offering treats, dog-friendly burgers and snacks, and a (free) bowl of water. I had never seen anything like that before and it was awesome! I really look forward to returning to this taphouse and grabbing a drink AND food! We came for the burger and it did not disappoint. Best burger we've had in a while. Five stars is for the burger, service and beer. The fries/tots/onion rings were average; I'm assuming they were standard frozen sides. The amount of onion rings was extremely disappointing considered they were a 1.50 add on. The servers were very friendly and helpful: they gave us samples of beer to help us decide which to order. The beer, we had the kolsch, was tasty and perfect on a hot afternoon. It's in a bigger facility, and they've even added some covered outside seating, which is so important in the new age of Covid. They have their own kitchen now, so you can order food cooked in-house rather than at food trucks. People sometimes downplay the food at the latter, but I've had some great food with them. So far with B2's new kitchen, I've had a mixed bag, hence the 4 star rather than 5 star review. Will I still keep coming here? Absolutely. I really like this establishment and appreciate the outside seating more than anyone can imagine. read more

Long overdue review but better now then never xD Anyway after exploring the beautiful Silver Falls, husband and I built up an appetite and were craving a burger so we decided to check this place out. You order at the bar and your food gets brought to you. The gentleman who took our order was very friendly. We sat outside near a fire pit. Place was giving good vibes and just seems like a great place to hangout with friends or catch a game while drinking a beer. I wouldn't be able to tell you how the beer was, we didn't get any. I did try some CBD sparking water. It was refreshing. Now for the burgers, they were absolutely delicious! Juicy and flavorful. The fries were pretty good too. We enjoyed every bite! This place is dog friendly! We saw some other people with there doggies out in the patio with us. So if we were traveling with our doggie, we know she would be welcomed here. Since my post in 2021, the nachos have gotten better, almost. I like that they now use a cheese sauce, but, the meat is severally lacking in flavor. However, I don't see them on the menu right now (1/3/2024). I feel like the menu online, vs the menu available for outside seating vs the menu in the bar area, are always different. Bring back the Brussel's Spouts! Those with the mac-n-cheese (not showing as an option anymore on their website) were actually really good together. When we went last in 9/2023 we got the taco sampler and they were ok. Again, the meat is severely lacking in flavor. We don't mind coming here, but its not a place we enjoy enough to go often or even recommend to people. read more
