Welp! What can I say about Satellite board shop? They're full on class A pros. I walked in with a broken ear piece on my Dragon mountaineerx shades that I bought there right? I was expecting maybe in a month or so I could possibly get a new ear piece to continue wearing my favorite and only pair of rad eye protection. In ONE week the boys at Satellite had a whole new pair of shades! Whole new set up! Pretty nice... I realize that getting a whole new set up isn't the norm. And I feel pretty lucky with that. But my point is, is that they got it done in a very timely fashion AND I got to deal with very competent, friendly and stoked humans. HUMANS man. In the age of Amazon and every thing NOT human it's nice to know that there are people out there in the retail world that are still passionate about keeping the stoke of being outside sideways on a board wether it be snow or concrete alive! And as parents we're constantly battling screen addiction for our kids. Maybe skating and snowboarding isn't for your kid, but the fact that these guys are here not only as a resource for gear and clothes, but they're a resource for stoke. An invaluable resource for board culture and the creativity that board culture can represent. It's a long long lineage that these guys are a part of. Like REALLY a part of. They're not corporate. They're not owned by some mother fuckers in Malaysia or Brooklyn. They're legit mom and pop. If you're new to skating or snowboarding it doesn't matter. The crew they have is definitely not off-putting. Which can be the case with any sort of weird retail sport type scene. Think about when you went into your local hipster bike shop to get your tube replaced and you felt like your pants were just not tight enough, or your beard was just not coifed enough. Maybe you drink the wrong coffee? Maybe your mustache didn't have the right wax! Try supporting these guys instead of Amazon. Because if we lose people like this, what's that say about US? Board culture is about creativity and physical expression and practice and getting banged up and camaraderie and music and art and all sorts of good things. Minecraft just doesn't hold a candle to Satellite Board Shop. And never will. read more

Went to get a new snowboard and the staff (Brian) was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. I was an avid snowboarder into my mid 20s then work and children happened so only managed one or two yearly trips up to the hill in the last 10 years. Upon getting back into it I realized I needed to upgrade my 20 yr old equipment but needed guidance on what to get. Stopped in the big mountaineering store first (you know the one) but employees gave short answers and didn't seem all that into helping me find the right fit, just looking to get past me to the next customer. The experience at Satellite was the opposite. Brian took the time to answer all of my numerous (and probably some stupid) questions, made great recommendations. He asked many questions about how I like to ride etc. It's obvious he know his stuff. No pressure, no rush. I highly recommend this store. read more

The employees of satellite are as wonderful as they are knowledgeable, friendly, and laid back. Erin spent at least 2hours with my friend and I as we tried on different brands and sizes of snowboard boots. He didn't push us to buy the most expensive or the most flashy- he actually did the opposite. He brought us different brands than what we had in mind as he truly had a vision and understanding for comfort and functionality- you can trust that kind of thing. That's how it's suppose to be, above board products and service. Don't bother going to satellite with an entitled bratty attitude- these people know their stuff and are chill AF. read more

Authentic skate shop with a great vibe, staff has a lot of experience and knowledge. They have a great variety of boards here including a lot of smaller board manufacturers, which is the way to go nowadays. It's nice to have something unique and better quality on the slopes. The wax and tune they put on your snowboard is the best for sure. I don't take my boards anywhere else and live 20min away, in Broomfield. On the cat tracks I'm passing skiers who are just pumping their arms, it's a buttery spread they put on there. read more

I had my snowboard tuned up last week at this shop. I dropped it off on Tuesday afternoon because I wanted to have it by Friday and was told that even though they were very busy, they would do their best to have it done by then. Somehow the board was done by noon the following day and I picked it up Wednesday evening. The work done on my board was very well done too. The staff was very friendly both times I was in the shop, even though it was different people. I highly recommend this shop. read more

This place has an awesome staff, extremely helpful and knowledgeable! I have been coming here for a couple years, both for new purchases and to have my board tuned and waxed. This place has great selection of both attire and equipment for snowboarding and skating. I cannot adequately delineate the high quality of service and attention that customers receive here! This shop is the only spot in town that carries rad girls stuff. I get all my favorite sneakers here and the newest gear for snowboarding. They are always available to tune my board right away with super fast turnaround times and they have a cool tuning program that makes it worth it if you like to ride as much as I do. Satellite is great! They give good advice. Will help you with anything or any product. . . even if you didn't originally purchase it from them. I got great bindings from them and next snowboard will definitely be purchase from them as well!
