This time around I shared the ATX Dirty Quesadilla with my husband. It's really good. It has a lot of flavor packed into one bite. It came with a dipping sauce which added to the flavor but you didn't necessarily need it. My husband also liked it. For my meal I ordered the Reapers Revenge Chicken Sandwich. It's a crispy piece of chicken with coleslaw and pickles. It's very good. It was slightly spicy but it had enough spice that you could taste. I ordered my sandwich with a side of Parmesan Fries. The fries were okay. They were thick and soft and not the kind of fries I prefer but they were okay. The parmesan had no flavor and had cooled making it crispy making the cheese easy to pull off of the fries. So I pulled off the cheese and ate the fries with ketchup. My husband got tater tots as his side. They were actually pretty good. Crispy exterior filled with potato and yummy with ketchup. It's a serve yourself type setup for fountain drinks and an ample amount of lemons for your water or food. Breakfast here is amazing but I also love this salmon dish. I've ordered it every time I've been here for a lunch or dinner. The overall vibe is very retro type diner and the staff is friendly. Just if you order anything extra that's different, there can be some confusion. My friend who usually comes with me here, can't have carbs, so she orders extra vegetables and extra lemon butter. Literally every time they miss the extra butter sauce and never ask which dish goes to whom. So there's a disconnect from the kitchen staff and whomever takes your order. The food is great, parking is ample but if you go at a busy time, you may have to sharp around for a space as there are other businesses in the same shopping centre that serve food. We'd been meaning to try Satellite since we drive past it all the time in the Circle C shopping center so we stopped in during happy hour. They had discounted bites and drinks. We split the lettuce wraps to start and ordered the redfish tacos. The fish tacos stole the show. They were fantastic! The flavors were bold and the fish was cooked just right. The lettuce wraps unfortunately fell short. The chicken was a bit bland and the lettuce itself was tiny. I couldn't pile any of the toppings onto it or make any kind of wrap. The service was attentive and our waitress was kind. The energy/vibe overall wasn't there. I'm thinking it might have been due to the time of day so maybe try it for dinner or on the weekend if you want a livelier atmosphere. read more

Lovely place to eat. My daughter and I went for brunch. I had the crab cake Benny, it was so delicious and filling. I didn't eat again until late evening. My daughter had scrambled eggs. She usually puts ketchup and cheese on her eggs, but she took one bite and gobbled them up without any additions. We ate outside, it was a beautiful day. Service was great. Price was reasonable. I had a few bites of the reaper's revenge chicken sandwich and although it wasn't as spicy as I was expecting it to be, the chicken was juicy and crispy and delicious. We were excited to find a place nearby and were becoming regulars but I doubt we'll ever go back. Their only frozen margarita machine is frequently out of commission and now it's been on the fritz for over a month and the staff say they do not think the owners plan to get it fixed. So no frozens at happy hour nor any other time going forward. Their on the rocks margaritas used to be a decent substitute. They were tasty and potent. But now they are neither. We ordered chips and queso on our final visit there which was yesterday. Both the chips as well as the queso were tasteless and unimpressive. They used to have live music 3 nights a week now it's once a week if you're lucky. As if that weren't enough the service which used to be pretty good is horrible now. The owners obviously have adopted a hands off approach and have left the staff in charge and they all seem like they're not happy to be there. Great spot for fresh, affordable lunch. Popped in here after fasting for bloodwork and I was famished and craving french fries (which are not part of my normal diet). Decided to have the chicken salad sammie on GF bread with side salad amd side of fries. this pleasantly surprised with a generous portion of all. Five star rating - that was the easiest part of visiting Satellite! The hardest part was figuring out what to order from their extensive menu with lots of great options! Five people in our party opted for the Brussel sprouts (5 stars) and calamari (4 stars) appetizers to start. Sprouts were one of our favorite parts of the entire meal. A few drinks were ordered too - House Ritas were good (very strong too) and the Circle C Mule served in the copper mug was enjoyed. For the main courses we ordered the Red Fish Tacos (5 stars) - watch for heat if your spice tolerance isn't great), Butterflied Panko Shrimp (5 stars), a couple Filet of Beef Tenderloins w/ grilled & fried shrimp added (5 stars for both) - be aware cook seems to error on the side of under & not over cooked & the special guest celebrating his graduation opted for the "Shorty's" Beef Rib (5 stars). A testament to how good the food looked & tasted - we forgot to take pics!!!! The table ordered Ceasar (5 stars), Wedge (5 stars) and regular house salad pre meal. The homemade blue cheese vinaigrette is amazing! Our favorite part of the meal might have been the "favorite ever" Carrot Cake dessert that we shared. If more than 5 stars were available, that'd be the rating. Service (5 stars) and ambiance (5 stars) were top notch! Long time patrons of Satellite here. While we were very excited when hearing they had new owners, we have been so disappointed in the consistency of the food and the ongoing problem of being out of certain wines and alcohol. Tonight the meatloaf we ordered was cold along with the green beans and potatoes. My wedge salad had brown lettuce and hardly any bacon or tomatoes on it. The taps have been out for weeks and there doesn't seem to be any time frame that it will be fixed. Sure hope they can turn things around. We won't be back for awhile until we hear things have improved. Props to Shay and Dustin for sticking it out in a less than desirable environment as an employee. read more

I had the filet mignon cooked medium rare. It was served with demi-glace sauce, mashed potatoes, and green beans. The steak was excellent, very tender. It was better quality than I have had at chain steakhouses like Saltgrass. The demi-glace sauce was very nice. The mashed potatoes were also excellent. The green beans were crisp but TBH I am not a big fan of green beans. I would definitely go back for this but I might try to substitute something else for the green beans. read more

This place should be closed!!! For the last years the restaurant went worse and worse. The menu is very limitted and what they make it does not have any or very strange taste, from salads to main courses. They count on people getting there for drinks, and even with the drinks the products or ingridients they use in cocktails, for examples, are probably the chippest ones, and prices are not realistic at all. An order of mimosa (6 oz fulte glass) was taken and charged as a glass of proseco with the price of $12.99. Too bad for the community to have this kind of restaurant around, when they are not too many options!!!! read more

Satellite is my new favorite go-to place for Sunday brunch. It doesn't hurt that my church is nearby. It also helps that they participate in KXAN's Be Our Guest gift certificate program. It's a cozy, modern venue with a space age theme. The brunch menu is not extravagant, but there are a few options. There are usually specials on Sunday brunch mimosas and margaritas. We went today for brunch after a long absence I had the launch pad with 2 eggs pancake and a side of sausage. I was supposed to get fruit but it was not served. The eggs and pancake were ok nothing special no butter was served with the pancake. The sausage was overcooked dry and more like a hockey puck. Once Upon a Time, this was the place to go while in Circle C.. but Satellite, in my opinion, has taken a backseat to other restaurants in the area in food quality. The ambiance and service is still good but the food is less desired. While the fish tacos haven't changed and are just as good as they've always been, almost everything on the menu tastes subpar. The glazed brussel sprouts were drenched with sauce, the pork chop was lightly lightly seasoned dry and overcooked, and the steaks were so-so flavored and overcooked (and they aint cheap). It's one thing if the kitchen were slammed but there were just a few tables full. While I can understand that wine can be seasonal, whoever is picking the wine isn't doing a very good job! We used to come here for happy hour and enjoy the wine selection, but nowadays, the wine is cheap and sold at prices it shouldn't be. The cocktails are so so. A lot of juice or sweetener. So much so that I would say a kid would like it bc you can't taste the Alcohol whatsoever. read more
