    Comedy show

Hey this is a great hidden gem! Escape the crowds and silliness of downtown or Austin proper and escape to Oak Hill Social. They have a fantastic cocktail program (mixology). The beer selection could be better but they have plenty of TVs for the game and a monthly comedy show that is hilarious. I'm coming back and bringing my friends.

The drinks were so DELICIOUS! absolutely loved them so much I came back the next day to get them again. I have a bad food reaction to bacon and try hard to stay far away from it. My wife got a breakfast sandwich with bacon and they accidentally put her bacon on my sandwich. I told the staff and they acknowledged their mistake. The food ended up being delicious and had no other issues. The place is cute and the staff was very nice.

This venue is really cute with lots of indoor and outdoor seating. Staff were friendly and courteous. I was meeting a friend for karaoke here, and it was done really well. The salad I had was good except for the shredded chicken being tough. It was a little on the small side, so we ordered the jumbo fries to share with the table. They were not joking about the size; it was the biggest bowl of fries I'd ever seen. The fries were hot and perfectly cooked, with spicy seasoning. They were a huge hit with the table.

Okay, listen up brunch lovers -- I just discovered my new happy place, and I may or may not have been here two days in a row (don't judge me). From the moment I walked in, I knew I was in for something special -- and then Victoria happened. This gal/bartender is off the chain! Sweet as pie, sharp as a tack, and somehow makes you feel like you're her favorite customer within five minutes. Now, let's talk food -- decadent doesn't even begin to cover it. That breakfast sandwich? A flavor-packed, avocado-topped dream VEGGIE omelet. The coffee? Smooth, rich, and exactly what I needed to start my day. And the mimosa? Golden, bubbly perfection in a glass. Every bite and sip felt like a little celebration. The vibe? Welcoming yet elevated -- you can roll in casual but still feel like you're brunching in style. And yes, I'm 100% coming back... maybe tomorrow. JK, JK... or am I?

We stopped in on a Sunday after our visit to Austin Zoo got rained out. Ordering is done at the counter and they've got loads of seating inside and out. The interior is super clean and spacious with sofas, booths, tables, and high tops. They've got a stage indoors as well as outside on the patio. The patio is big with lots of wicker egg chairs (love). There are video games, darts, cornhole, and more outside. When we arrived they were serving from the brunch menu. We were quite indecisive because we were drenched from rain, it was our first time there, causing us to be a bit distracted. I had in my head that I wanted a salad like a big salad. Sadly, the brunch menu has no salad offerings. And, if I had to make a complaint that would be it. So we opted for a tiramisu latte (iced), an iced butterscotch latte, fried pickles, and chips & queso. The tiramisu latte was insane! It was literally like drinking the dessert. The whipped topping tasted exactly like it! The butterscotch latte had the perfect balance of butterscotch syrup, coffee, and oat milk. The house-made chips had a perfect crunch and the queso consistency and flavor were spot on. Fried pickles were cooked properly as well. Perfectly battered. The staff were super accommodating, friendly, and helpful with decision making.

Kind of a hidden gem being tucked away in this neighborhood but totally worth the visit! The inside is spacious, tons of seating, very cute decor. I stopped in one day for coffee and a breakfast taco and I genuinely think it's top 5 best breakfast tacos in Austin. Homestyle! I would love to come back during the week and work here for a few hours to see what that's like.

I stopped by with a group of friends (party of 8) on a weekend. This spot is cute and cozy, tucked away in my neighborhood, which makes it perfect for frequent socials. The inside is spacious and there is plenty of outdoor seating. Since the place is still somewhat fairly new, service can be a bit slow - especially the indoor bartenders. Anyhow, the cocktails were delicious as were the classic appetizers. Overall decent spot.

I attended Tuesday night trivia at Oak Hill this week. It was pouring rain, so I figured it would be a small crowd. Luckily, trivia is inside and outside, meaning the show could still go on! I was surprised to see a strong handful of teams, despite the weather. Trivia started on time (7pm) and moved through the questions/rounds at a great pace. I enjoyed a draft beer and some chips & queso, which was surprisingly very tasty with salsa mixed into it! The servers were personable and quick, which I appreciated. Also, I love that Oak Hill Social is dog friendly both inside and outside! I can't wait to go back!!

Cinco de Mayo brought us out to Oak Hill Social since they were having drink/food specials. I feel like this place has a lot of potential. It's family friendly and it has indoor and outdoor seating. It had just rained and the outdoor seating was a bit wet and the seating under the covered area was quite crammed together, so we decided to sit inside the bar area. It was a very chill vibe. The drinks: We ordered two margaritas, which were surprisingly blue in color, and one peach mimosa. My friend really enjoyed her mimosa, but we weren't big fans of the margarita. I can't put my finger on it-maybe it was the mix. The food: We ordered the blue corn chicken quesadilla from their Cinco specials and the grilled cheese that had an egg on it, which came with fries and was on their brunch menu. We all enjoyed the food. Overall, we enjoyed our time but I think it would have been more fun with live music, so we'll try and visit again. The service was quick and very friendly. The bartender gave us the choice of the type of tequila in our margarita, which we appreciated.

What a perfect place for brunch with the ladies! There's plenty of seating indoors and outside on the patio. It wasn't too noisy so we could all hear each other without being loud. Brunch menu is neat, quite a few options for food, drinks and coffee. It's all reasonably priced too. I got the beet toast with sunny side up egg and arugula on pita bread. It was pretty good. My friends got the avocado toast that had generous mix of greens in it too. All plates were served with a side of fries and a small cup of fresh fruit. The house doesn't look like much from the outside but more than makes up for it with the delicious food and chill vibe.

We came to support a local business but what we found was chaos. Outside band, inside club music while people are trying to eat, noise everywhere. Not relaxing...food was terrible..fried frozen food. The manager was unwilling to turn off/down the interior club music which further degraded our dining experience. Pick a theme and go with it. Not all the things. Tons of people here but not the jam we were wanting.

Food : 1/10 stars. chicken and waffles was bad. 2/10. Chicken tasted like it was from the frozen section. 1/10 The maple syrup tasted very off. The waffles had a texture of frozen waffles . But the maple syrup was definitely the worst . Environment: 6/10. Seems like a decent place to hang out And bring your pets. Price: 6/10. The price was reasonable but the chicken and waffles was definitely a bad choice . Parking: 6/10 . The parking was decent , Overall : it's a decent place to hang out for drinks but definitely not the place for chicken and waffles.

This entire place feels like a cash grab following the mezcal trend. It's positioned as being a tequila/mezcal spot but their drinks are more basic than cocktails I can order at the airport. When I asked questions about the mezcal they use and offer the bartenders replies were always dealt with either annoyance and limited info or just an "I don't know." Plus it's $$$ you tip on top of the tip they already add but say nothing about? The basic cocktails that are known as Mexican street vendor drinks (not supposed to be $$$) can cost you over $20 alone! Then to be shady about tipping ... cash grab without a good experience. The there's the atmosphere... very limited parking shared with MANY other more busy bars, super loud inside because of no soft surfaces, and the worst part of all... the bench seats are built just tall enough that unless you're super tall, you'll have to sit at the edge of the bench and actively practice good posture. This more than the other things makes me want to leave immediately. You designed a bar to be pretty but in no way functional to its use. It's been a while since my last visit and honestly I chalked all this up to Austin's trend chasing entrepreneurs typical disconnected launch until I had AMAZING cocktails at another new spot that truly impressed with their same priced cocktails that were far far more intricate and creative PLUS they didn't try to con me out of more tip AND their space was warm, and inviting with truly exceptional customer service. That experience reminded me that inflation isn't the only thing making life more expensive ... it's also businesses delivering far less value than promised and demanding we are supremely grateful for their limited effort. If you don't want to leave the neighborhood but you still want a somewhat decent margarita .... it ain't here. Pay half the price at Bodhi's in the same parking lot.
