Their name might suggest that when writing their menus, they would be interesting and funny; that could be no more truthful! Satire without a doubt has the most interesting and quite frankly tasty beers! Overhearing one of the bartenders talk about some of the new upcoming Drink specials lets me know that this place does cocktails well too. It's a large place that has two bars in two separate rooms. One thing that made me pause a bit was that most of their food comes out on paper plates. For the sake of ease, this is awesome, but I think their food is nicer than what should be served on a paper plate. I stopped by Satire with a coworker after a happy hour event during the weekday. Even though it was a Wednesday at around 9:00PM, the place was PACKED! It's a very large space with 2 seating areas and there was still only like 2 empty tables that I saw. The menu is huge. They pretty much had any kind of beer you can want and with funny names to accompany them. We did not order any food but the food that others ordered around me looked good. The beer I ordered was a simple lager and it tasted great with reasonable pricing. Service here was impressive. Even with how large the place is and how many people were there, we did not have to wait long at all to be helped and get our stuff including our beers and then our check at the end. I wish I lived near this place so I could go everyday! Came to the brewery at the recommendation of a colleague. The amazing amount and quality of beers was a true hit. So many unique flavors. Ordered some food, meat plate I believe. It had two kinds of bacon and sausage and some incredible cheese. That paired with their beers was one of my favorite dining experiences. She rode raged me driving out of the bar in the middle of the day for a good two minutes straight, flipping me off and cursing at me because she nearly turned into my lane and I gave her a small honk of the horn just to make sure she knew I was there because she scared me. I have known the family close to 25 years, but that didn't stop her from double flipping me off twice and screaming profanities at me while she drove behind me and all the way up to the red light that we both had to stop next to each other at. We have had Satire's beers before at a festival but never stopped in until one very nice weather day in March. They have a patio but it doesn't get much sunshine so, it ended up being a bit cold. They do allow dogs on the patio and you can order beer and food on the patio as well. The beers were good and the food is interesting. We got the squirrel loads that were Balls of dough with ham and cheese. It was fresh ham but it felt kind of cheap kids homemade snack rather than brewery food. read more

We met some friends at Satire after hitting up a few other breweries. Our friends had been a few times and encouraged us to avoid their traditional styles so we got a flight of all of their stouts. Overall, they were pretty decent with one of the pours being pretty good. I'd say they are better than a lot of breweries in the US but unfortunately, the competition in Denver is pretty tough (Cerebral, weldwerks, etc) so I'd give them 4 out of 5 star. Not only do they have the most diverse and talented beer list in all the front range, but they are a genuine scratch kitchen. Bread baked from scratch. Filled with various toppings. Place is pretty nice. Have heard a lot about it and never been until now. It's nice inside and well kept with tables big enough for larger groups of friends to get together. I did not have food, but will take the girlfriend here one day to eat something and get a drink. Service was great though. I think he'd be better off focusing on a few beers and perfecting them, rather than having dozens of beers that taste like my friend's home brew. But don't let that deter you! This place was fun! The staff welcomed us in and we found a seat at the bar. There were some folks next to us that let us know this is their favorite place. They knew everyone by name. The beers! Satire is as its name implies. They have fun naming for all of their beverages and food. I want to do a return trip to try some of the food because it smelled amazing. On this evening we did not have time for a snack. We both enjoyed a flight, trying a variety. My favorites were Butter Beer and Dilldo (Noted in the menu with a quote from Westword as "Perhaps the worst beer name in the state".) Dill pickle beer sounds strange, but it was quite tasty. I had been here years ago and was skeptical to go back because in the back of my head I remembered there was a a bunch of random Squirrel nut euphemisms but I appreciated much more around the second time - the whole menu was funny and satirical to read. Beautiful central bar with Tuscan colors throughout. Service was prompt and attentive - my husband and I ended up splitting a flight with a raspberry sour (over 9% ABV whoa, some stouts including the Denver Mint for him, and the Pearanoid. You have to wait to be seated but not many people were paying attention to the sign. Or were people following the mask rule. Some of the staff weren't even wearing mask. Occasionally get our order wrong. Food is mid and their experimental stuff is kinda gross. Soggy pretzels on a stick or just bacon on a paper plate? I asked for a glass half full of hot water to warm up a milk bottle for my baby and they said the water doesn't get very hot. Makes you wonder how they sanitize things up to health standards.
