Upper Village Spa is a bit small, and the waiting area is practically non-existent, but the customer service is nice, they greet you warmly & offer you tea while you wait. If you decide to get your lashes permed, make sure you asked for the rollers & glue, and NOT the 'clips'. Dove Spa uses the clips and it only took approx. half an hr. Upper Village's Toni (senior esthetician) took about an hr, which I appreciated because I just think these procedures should take time. And she took her time and made sure everything was perfect. The bed was warmed and very relaxing. During the perming, however, Toni did try to sell me on other products/services, but not too aggressively. I guess that's what they have to do to get more business so I understand. Also, their prices are slightly better than Dove Spa. I will most likely go back :) Update: I now go to Trish at Ocean Wave eyelash perming, she is the best and less expensive!! Me likey!! :)

The treatment was truly relaxing and she was truly comforting and she wasn't pushy with the products as I find some salons are which was cool because I was there to relax not be sold. The second time I went I got Casey, who let me tell you girl, is GRREAT. You know when you search forever to try and find a hairdresser who you vibe with and does a great job? That's Casey. She became my micro girl after my second treatment. She was very informative and down to earth. We get along so well and she always does a great job. I'm super sad she is graduating and I will have to find a new person to do my up-keeps once a month. However, I'm glad I got the majority of my treatments from her. Most people don't know, but the Humber spa is open to anyone. Their prices are AMAZING. Micro is only $60! Sometimes they go on special for $40! Can you find any other spa that offers these kinds of prices? I know some people might be skeptical because they are students, but these are students in their final semester ready to graduate. The info is fresh and they also have supervisors guiding and watching over them. The best thing is that the facility is CLEAN. You can guarantee that. That's something that's really important to me. TIP: If you find an aesthetician that you like, it's totally okay to re-book with them! They actually encourage that, so students know what it's like to get repeat clients. Also, there is no tip option on the machine when you pay. It's not expected, but if you do want to tip, it's cash only. One last tip, even though they only accept CASH TIPS. they ONLY take debit, credit or gift cards as a form of payment. Totally recommend everyone to try out the Humber Spa. The ladies who worked on me were very nice, and I was happy with them, my nails looked great and so did my toes! The facial made my skin feel really smooth and it was really relaxing. You have to keep in mind that these are students so it takes a little longer than going to a regular spa, but it is cheaper too. Don't forget to tip, the students don't get paid for their work at the spa, so tipping is especially important. I will be back, I really enjoyed the procedures, and the same day service was a really nice touch.

Went in with super chapped hands and untrimmed nails from a whole month of traveling and neglect; came out with soft hands, neat trims, and shiny happy new nail colors. The nail trimming / cuticle shaping / hand care / etc are done with so much attention to detail and her polish application skills are top-notch :) I'm a perfectionist and you can imagine how happy I get when my nail colors always come out smooth and pretty.
