I told the guy behind the counter that this was my first time here so he went over everything with me from their special weekly menu, prepped orders, the summer menu, and more. I specifically chose to place my order on a Thursday because their prepped meals are 50% off (as they are set to expire the following day). I had the pork carnitas bowl. It blew me away. It was super fresh. The pork was tender & juicy & just tasted incredible. The entire bowl was full of flavor. The portion size was great too. Since the carnitas were a part of their weekly specials I will def be back this weekend to get another bowl before it's gone. I also got the the Turkey Chorizo Breakfast Bowl & ate it the next morning at work. Incredible! So full of flavor. & still delicious even though it had been made a week ago. The portion size was perfect too. I also got a cup of the Cashew Curry & had it tonight for dinner. I highly recommend it. It had a nice spice level to it but one that just lingers in a way that you can continue to eat & enjoy. Perfect portion size again. And last but not least, we also got the Hawaiian Chicken Bowl which I had tonight. It comes with a yummy Gochujang BBQ sauce that is spicy. The bowl was fresh & flavorful. Round 1: The Cheeseburger and the Pizza The burger arrived with all the enthusiasm of a middle school band recital -- you appreciate the effort, but it's hard to clap. The patty, handmade but devoid of seasoning, was swallowed whole by the bun and veggies like a lost soul in a carb purgatory. The pizza? Let's just say it was... a pizza. Not as good as the old local spot, but even that place had off days. So, I gave it a lukewarm, "Eh, okay," and trudged on. Round 2: Breakfast of Regret I ordered biscuits and gravy, hoping for a warm hug in food form. What I got was more like a passive-aggressive pat on the back. I am giving a 2 star instead of a 1 for the fact they are still new. But ... what a disaster…read more New restaurant offering all you can eat fish.... on a Friday is a recipe for disaster. Sat down at 5:30.... no acknowledgement from anyone until 605 when we had to stop a waitress. Drinks arrived at 630. Salads never arrived... asked about them... brought them out but they were out of the dressing we wanted. (salad is just lettuce and cheese) My meal came out 645.... lukewarm. 705 the rest of the meals come out.... ran out of baked potatoes so they arbitrarily substituted wedges for one person and fries for another. No veggies came out at all:.... and the slaw didn't either. I don't think anything else could have gone worse. All of the customers were just looking around like we were being punk'd. I hope the operations smooth out but the quality of what we had.... tenders, fries, cod..... were not good. If someone would have at least acknowledged the time delay, the food we sent back, the food we didn't get,,..: by just removing the cost off the items of the bill I think we would have been ok. But we had to tell the cashier what we needed credit for .... and she was not happy about it.

This is where the positive part of this experience ends. We came in to dine at 10am on Saturday 4/19/26. The restaurant was full. It took our server nearly 30 minutes to take our order. During that long wait, the busser did refresh our coffee multiple times. When the server finally made it to our table we gave her 3 breakfast orders (Superfecta - eggs, bacon & French toast). This was at 10:30. We waited another hour and 10 minutes before we received our food at 11:40. I can see these times on our check. During this time as least one table got up and walked out on their order as the wait was unacceptable. We had at least 3 more rounds of coffee during the wait. Wagner's did not have a Supervisor or Manager working the floor. The staff was so buried in the weeds they could not see straight. Without any sort of management help, tables kept pouring in, and the servers kept taking the orders, just compounding the problem. Our server was a nice old lady. I would love to give her a shoutout but here name was not listed on the check. Only the cashiers name, "Giggles" was listed. The issues of this day was not our servers fault. There was nothing she could do. The restaurant had two individuals cooking. This was the breakdown. They clearly were not up to the task to handle the volume the restaurant had. With no management presence on the floor, it was like watching the RMS Titanic slowly sink. At one point during the wait I got up and went shopping in Wagner's gift shop. I bought a Wagners' hat (before the wheels came off). I went to the cashier and "Giggles" asked if I wanted to leave a tip with the purchase. I responded, "a tip for buying a hat"? What a hustle. There were 3 or 4 cashiers working behind the stand. Not a good use of labor. Drop to 2 or 3 and hire a couple more cooks. When the food came, it was marginal at best. My coffee was stone cold at this point. They surely would have given me more, but at this point, I don't think I could have drinken my 5th or 6th cup. You don't operate a business for 104 years being this bad. They were truly as bad as it gets last Saturday. Nothing would get me to ever step foot in this restaurant again.
