Convenient to my job in RTP & in Brier Creek. Scheduling was easy; however, I had to schedule something two weeks out. WakeMed has a fantastic website where you can make appointments, message your doctor, review medical history, order refills, & send a private message to your doctor. You're also able to complete forms there, which is what I did for my appointment. Check-in was quick. I waited for about 5 minutes past my scheduled appointment time & the Tamesha, a medical assistant came to get me from the lobby. She was very sweet & friendly & was quick during my "pre-screen/check-in" process. I waited for about 20 minutes for my doctor, which I didn't really like, but they were busy, so I was OK. Dr. Rooker came in & she is bubbly & friendly. I adore her! We chatted like old friends. I really feel comfortable with her & she has good bedside manner. She didn't rush my visit either. I'm really happy with this medical practice.

I've been coming to Duke Primary Care Brier Creek for years, and I can confidently say it's the…read morebest primary care office in the Triangle. The staff here is always so pleasant and welcoming from the front desk to the nurses and providers, everyone treats you with kindness and respect. One thing I really appreciate is how efficient they are. I've never waited more than 5 minutes after checking in for my appointment. They run like clockwork, and it makes visits stress-free and smooth. Having the lab right on site is also a huge plus no need to drive elsewhere. My test results always go directly to my Duke MyChart, which makes it easy to stay on top of everything. Truly grateful to have such a dependable, professional, and friendly care team. Highly recommend!

Co-pay is upfront and know they cannot diagnose anything that has appendicitis like symptoms - they…read morewill take your copay, make you wait and then tell you to go to ER. If you have a child experiencing appendicitis like symptoms, take them to the pediatric ER. My son was having pain in his right side and we went to AFC Urgent Care. We waited for 30 minutes and were seen by someone at AFC Urgent Care, not sure if she was a Dr or PA or nurse - she asked about symptoms. She barely pushed on his right side no gloves and announced that they were unable to go further as they didn't have a CT machine and she was required to refer us to the ER. After waiting at the ER for 4 hours, he had a CT scan and were referred to the pediatric ER. The bills of all these visits are piling up. I called AFC with this suggestion: Anyone at AFC could have explained at reception that they could not diagnose ANY appendicitis like symptoms and we could have saved $100 on our copay. They said a medical professional has to do that - so wanted everyone else to be aware of this highway robbery.

She stated she wanted to run labs and have a thorough physical, and even mentioned how there were some things she wanted to do but because of billing she wouldn't do them that appointment so my whole appointment would be covered. I just received a bill for A THOUSAND DOLLARS in the mail for all the labs she ran that I did NOT ask for including a drug screen thats 140 dollars! Do not go here to not see this provider. I will be fighting this bill.
