Got takeout from here after reading the great reviews. Went inside to wait for it, food came out super quick but while we waited they gave us Thai tea on the house! It was delicious. Really cute atmosphere. Most importantly the food was amazing. Definitely the best Thai food I've had in the DFW area. They gave us so much meat too which was a very nice surprise! Pad Thai 10/10. Pad Thai is awesome! I've had it 6 times and still love it. The team is great at this location and the time estimates are spot on.

Ordered pad thai, orange chicken, Tom kha soup, shrimp rolls.. in the past this has been a good family place to go and the food is generally as expected. This time the pad thai, while the presentation was terrible , it was average, the soup was watery and less vegetables, the shrimp rolls were great like always. I suggest not to order the orange chicken, chicken not as good as the authentic Chinese version and the sauce is watery. I needed to write this review because the prices have become too high for what you get and it looks like quality is not like it's always been. Perhaps a new chef or a new owner we never know. read more

I got the green Thai curry a few weeks ago, spicy level 5 with tofu. I could not stop thinking about it after that. WEEKS. I'm telling you that curry was constantly in my head. I craved it nearly every day. It was just so rich and flavorful... So naturally I find myself in a hotel really close by and I get a huge order delivered! These appetizers were incredible: the crispy wrapped shrimp, crab cream cheese, fried calamari, and of course fresh salad rolls. I always order Thai spring rolls and theirs was very decent. Out of all of these, I recommend the calamari the most. It wasn't exactly fried how you'd expect - as in it wasn't just batter, it was actual calamari seasoned well and very lightly fried. Each of these appetizers come with delicious sauces, and the perfect amount, especially the shrimp rolls (the sauce makes them 10x better). I never order peanut dishes really, I've just never been crazy about the taste outside of dipping sauce for a spring roll. This time, however, I tried spicy peanut tofu and even to me it was fantastic! It wasn't very spicy honestly, just nicely seasoned and even more rich than the curry (which I also ordered a second time, obvi). Vietnamese bun thit nuong wasn't my favorite dish, but still very well made and tasted so fresh. I'd recommend it if you're wanting something that feels a tiny bit lighter. I was at the restaurant the first time I ordered, and it was very clean and spacious. The servers are very polite & make sure you have all you need; food comes out quick. Note, review based on single takeout experience. Decided to try this place based on reviews. A little bit of a drive from my hotel so I was hoping it would be worth it. Long story short, it was. Ordered vegetable spring rolls and red curry with pork. Person taking my order asked about spice level. I don't mind some heat, but don't need anything crazy hot. We had a little back and forth and they suggested I get it level 2 with some chili paste on the side if I want to increase. I didn't time it but order was probably ready in about 7 minutes or so. Super quick. The spring rolls (4) were quite large. Flavor was good, but I wouldn't say best I've ever had. Certainly something I would get again though. The red curry was actually very good! I've had a lot of it in my travels and it was one of the best. Portion is large and had plenty of veg and meat. Spice level of 2 was actually perfect. Certainly could have upped it for more heat but I just didn't find it was needed. I thought prices were fair especially given that with the 4 spring rolls, carton of rice, and large container of curry, it could easily be turned into two meals for the average eater. read more

Went here with my co workers as some wanted to eat Chinese, Pho or Thai. Majority of us ordered the thai and rest Chinese. If you have a party of 8 or more they will tack on a 20% tip fee. They have a lunch special which comes with soup or a salad an entree. I got the pad kee ew with pork. Pork was a little on the dry side. Noodles was full of sauce and you get a decent portion with this. I was able to finish the entire dish, but there were some of my teammates that could not finish half. Hubby brought me to this nice little Thai restaurant. Nice and friendly atmosphere. The waiters were very attentive. Menu had a lot of options. We started off with the Crispy Wrapped Shrimp. Hubby ordered the Spicy Basil Combo and a cup of the Tom Yum Shrimp. I ordered the Haven Beef, Thai Sausage, the Papaya Salad Laos style, and sticky rice. As per my review, I said I'd give Saucy's another shot. The restaurant was crowded, so I asked if I could sit outside. They advertise outside seating. I was told "NO OUTSIDE" and was seated inside. Check Your Bills!!! had a weird and not so pleasant experience. really want to post it because i believe they may have did it to many customers first, we were seated by the male waiter who was a bit rude to us when we were ordering. we can see a big difference of his attitude towards non asian customers. Yes, i know... second (the problem), i am usually the person that pays the bill without looking, but as im staring at the paid receipt which showing a close to $80 i felt something was off because we only ordered 3 dishes + a small soup. after i asked for the actual itemized receipt from a different waitress, the rude male waiter then comes out of nowhere with complete attitude change and right away stated that they overcharged me an extra item by accident. Now, it seems like he already knew this and was waiting to see if he can get away with it because he only came out after he saw me asking to see the bill again. also why make that statement before i even finish examining the bill? but accident happens so i dont care and he was been very nice (now) and apologetic. while he was fixing the bill i asked him if this happen sometimes and to my surprise he said "Yes, it happens alot, the machine double charges people sometimes" ...WTH?! if he is going to blame the machine then this now becomes a known issue and why no one corrects it and allow it to keep overcharging unsuspecting customers?! but i know very well this is a human error after this 1st red flag i just want to get out and never come back because the food was really mediocre and too sweet, plus he was rude. he then handed me a 2nd bill of a lower amount but after i paid it the receipt screen still shows up the same 1st over charge amount. i of course raised questions again then he and another waitress joined in and were trying to tell me no its a different bill and its correct this time. i got upset and started to do my own calculation, then suddenly he just took it back and try to fix the bill again for the 3rd time. after i calculated how much exactly it should be he made sure the 3rd bill matches to whatever i had in my mind. this 2nd red flag now confirmed for me that they really want to overcharge me for that extra dish because he should have know how much the bill is if he is trying to fix a mistake as the first thing to do is to count aint it? guys, please double check your bill. even if its really just machine error, which according to them it happens alot! read more

Been to Saucy Thai a few times for takeout, but nothing was that memorable. One time they gave my pick up order to an Uber Eats driver (guess the order had the same name) so I had to wait an extra 20 mins--they blamed me saying I called the other location, wasn't happy about that. This last visit I ordered some apps, noodle, rice and curry dishes. Here's my note to self for when/if I return: - corn and crab cream cheese apps: would consider getting again. Ball shape of crab wrap is a nice twist to the pointy rangoon shape I'm used to. - Tom kha soup: the worker said this was a popular soup, I get Tom yum regularly so I decided to give this a shot. Has a very coconutty base so i don't recommend if you don't like coconut. - pineapple and crab fried rice: didn't like either that much, pineapple rice was a bit bland. Would try the basil fried rice next time. - yellow curry: didn't like at this restaurant compared to others-seemed waterier, wouldn't order again. Would try another curry without bell peppers since I don't like bell peppers. - mango sticky rice: alright, better to eat right away than later I wasn't pleased with all the dishes I ordered but I would return again for takeout to figure out which dishes to make my "go to". Usually when someone tries to specialize in more than one thing it doesn't go too well, but Saucy's seems to know what they're doing. The name is appropriate because it isn't Thai and Vietnamese, it's Thai and Pho. Which means the restaurant is mostly Thai food but they do have pho and a select number of Viet dishes, but set your expectations that this is a primarily Thai restaurant. The prices aren't overly expensive but I would not consider it cheap. There is a lunch special but I haven't been able to try that yet. They make up for the average prices with portions, when I visited I was surprised how big the plates were for both my table and the one next to us. We ordered the mango paradise and the pineapple curry. The mango paradise had a generous amount of shrimp and mango, worthy of its higher price. The pineapple curry had a nice bit of spice, I'd say medium, while still being sweet. I was surprised they didn't ask for a spice level, they just served it as is. For both dishes the rice portion wasn't sufficient imo, not sure if they charge for more rice but we just went without and saved on calories lol. Service was solid, nothing to complain about there. I would definitely dine again to try their other options, the Thai fried rice looked really good. Also their lunch specials are something I need to try. read more

Food poisoning!!!!! We have eaten here several times over the years. However we went a year recently without eating here after getting blah food and having upset stomachs after eating it a couple of times... and the roaches in the restaurant grossed us out as well. About a month ago we tried it again and it was okay, not great but okay. So this past weekend we ordered it again due to my pregnancy craving for Thai food... both my husband and I got violently ill with extreme food poisoning. My food tasted old, like it was made two days ago old, but I was hungry so I ate it thinking it could just be my taste buds. My husband only had a couple of bites and knew it was bad, said it tasted like a grease fire smells... (this was after I ate mine). I am pregnant and spent all night very sick and couldn't eat or drink anything for another day due to the trauma my body went through after eating this food. Thank God my one year old baby spit his out and refused to eat it. I tried his and it was terrible! When my husband called the restaurant the person he spoke to commented "it just too spicy for you". Are you kidding me right now?! I asked for spice and got zero on my food first of all, and second spicy food does not make me violently ill. We love coming to this place for quick Thai food. I especially like their weekday lunch options as it gives me a chance for a quick take out on a busy weekday- this comes with a choice of side soup or salad. The food was served quickly and was hot and full of flavor. The lunch portions are very generous (enough for at least 2 people). The yellow curry chicken (level 2 spice) was one of the best I've ever had. It was served with white rice and choice of soup or salad. I chose the Tom Yum soup and it was full of flavorful veggies/chicken in every bite. The Tom Kha soup was a perfect blend of coconut and spices.
