Brian, at the shop set me up with a nice 105 Bianchi Al bike., Look Keo Pedals, a good helmet and a complete repair and tool kit. The only thing I needed were my cycling shoes. This was a huge help since I was traveling and didn't have any extra room for all the essentials.They had many more nice carbon, Ultegra, Di2 bikes. He fit the bike and patiently reviewed the route with me, and I was off. A great day of about 60 miles and about 5-6,000 ft. of climbing The bike worked flawlessly. I was pretty bummed that my bike was in such bad shape, but Pete was well versed in the issue and replaced everything I needed on the spot. Most shops I know have a 2-5 day backlog due to COVID and these guys got me on the road in under an hr without an appointment. Thanks guys, keep up the good work.

Vs someone who is going to try to upsell you on everything. Not here... What an amazing experience. I called the night we arrived in Tiburon, expecting an answering machine, but instead got Dave (the owner) while he was on a bike ride. He offered to bring me a pair of bikes that night! Suffering from some unexpected vertigo, I decided to postpone, and possibly nix my bike riding plans altogether. Dave #2 met us at the shop in Sausalito (an interesting old warehouse, former window hardware manufacturing facility) and he proceeded to set us up with maps, guidance on conditions, and fitting my wife with her helmet and bike fully so that there was no doubt that everything would fit perfectly. Dave#2 was so zen about everything and it was obvious that he takes the care and maintenance of the bikes to heart. Their bikes are in immaculate shape, not a spot of rust, no scratches, no dirt. While getting ready, he was so caring and considerate, asking multiple times if we wanted some water or to use the bathroom before we went, even offering gloves in case it was too cold. This is not what I expect from the type of business that takes care of visitors whom they may never see again. We took a ride out to the Golden Gate, and Dave kept in contact through the trip, even taking pix of us when we got back. Dave and Dave run a very special business and I would rate them 20 stars if I could.

Shout out to Kevin who helped us all out There's another staff in the back who helped provide really good knowledge as well. Everyone is super passionate about bikes so they'll be able to know what you need. As for the space inside, it's organized, clean, and packed with lots of functional and cute colored bikes depending on what you're looking for. Outside of the store, there is a good amount of parking next to the bike path so that you can ease into your ride. Cheers!

Of course you could also ride around beautiful Tiburon too! Scott helped us get our bikes quickly to make sure we made our 1pm ferry (overall less than 20min), which we greatly appreciated. The shop is just around the corner from where you catch the ferry, so very convenient! The only thing negative which made me dock a star was that both Trek mountain bikes that we rented were in dire need of repair. My husband and I rent bikes often when we travel to places, and this was the first time we ever experienced renting bikes from an actual bike shop that were in bad condition (literally your whole job as a bike shop is to keep bikes in good condition to rent or sell, right?). Almost all the gears kept slipping, and on hilly trails like the ones on Angel Island, this made our bike ride difficult and bit frustrating. Only 3 out of the 21 gears worked properly, and they happened to be 3 high gears, so a few of the steeper inclines were brutal. We laughed it off and just accepted the harder leg workout (haha), but overall this was a bit disappointing. For the record, my husband and I are both athletes who bike, run, hike, and work out regularly, so if we were even having a tough time, I can't imagine what it would have been like for an average leisurely cyclist! So instead of taking the bikes out for 3+ hours, we returned them sooner since they were in such poor condition. Other than that, we still enjoyed exploring Tiburon and Angel Island for the first time on 2 wheels! If you rent here, hopefully your bikes will be in much better condition than ours were.

Bikes: seemed really good (and they provide water-bladder backpacks too). Cost $60 per person for the day. What we did: rented bikes and went out on our own. Rob recommended two nearby trials (one non-technical). We went for the non-technical trail and it was a nice, scenic route (a fair bit of uphill followed by a long downhill section). Would be interested to do this again and try the more technical trail.

Rob (runs the co.) was really helpful from the moment I contacted him. He markets himself as a VIP outing business but I think it's rather affordable. We did a sunset Kayak- took the ferry to Sausalito (a must-do anyway), he picked us up from the station and took us to the beach where he got us all set up and pushed us & the kayak into the water! We explored the bay area for a few hours, lots of quirky houseboats and beautiful views and headed back where he met us and drove us back to the ferry. Great experience- I highly recommend renting through him. We want to try the mountain biking next time we return!!

If you are anywhere near the Bay Area, Angel Island State Park is absolutely worth the trip. The…read morescenery alone makes it a great escape, but the Immigration Station is what really makes this place special. The island is peaceful and not overly crowded. You get incredible views of the San Francisco skyline, the Golden Gate Bridge, and the surrounding bay. It is a great spot for hiking, biking, or just relaxing by the water. The highlight for me was the Immigration Station. Walking through the barracks and reading the poems carved into the walls is powerful. It gives you a deeper appreciation for the history and the experiences of those who passed through. It is not something to rush through. Take your time and really take it in. Try to go earlier in the day so you have enough time to explore both the trails and the station. Also check the ferry schedule ahead of time so you are not cutting your visit short. Overall, it is a great mix of nature and history. Beautiful, meaningful, and definitely worth visiting.
