Even after the purchase, they have been just as dialed in. Questions, adjustments, tune-ups, it is all handled with the same level of care and attention. Honestly, they have set the standard for what a bike shop should feel like. The bikes are incredible, but it is the people that make the difference. We ride more because of them, we trust their recommendations, and we know we are taken care of every time we walk in. Customers for life is not something we say lightly, but here it just fits.

They fixed it in good order but they could use a lesson in customer interaction.

I called the night we arrived in Tiburon, expecting an answering machine, but instead got Dave (the owner) while he was on a bike ride. He offered to bring me a pair of bikes that night! Suffering from some unexpected vertigo, I decided to postpone, and possibly nix my bike riding plans altogether. Dave #2 met us at the shop in Sausalito (an interesting old warehouse, former window hardware manufacturing facility) and he proceeded to set us up with maps, guidance on conditions, and fitting my wife with her helmet and bike fully so that there was no doubt that everything would fit perfectly. Dave#2 was so zen about everything and it was obvious that he takes the care and maintenance of the bikes to heart. Their bikes are in immaculate shape, not a spot of rust, no scratches, no dirt. While getting ready, he was so caring and considerate, asking multiple times if we wanted some water or to use the bathroom before we went, even offering gloves in case it was too cold. This is not what I expect from the type of business that takes care of visitors whom they may never see again. We took a ride out to the Golden Gate, and Dave kept in contact through the trip, even taking pix of us when we got back. Dave and Dave run a very special business and I would rate them 20 stars if I could.

No basket, no racket on the back, no place to store anything. On a positive note, the guys who run this place are friendly and seem to know what they are talking about. We didn't have any mechanical issue with the bike. Tip: if you want to rent a bike to take on the Ferry to SF, and you want to take an early ferry, rent the bike the night before. Sausalito shops don't open until 9:30 or 10.

But it bothered me so much to see that, so here I am. Reading that review now before I write this one, I don't see a trace of truth in what Nick noticed. Maybe Nick knows a competitor. Phillip felt genuine, knowledgeable, understated. He listened well, asked lots of questions to help diagnose the issue, and made me feel welcome. He also fixed my bike's creak on the spot. I've been to so many bike shops. Enough to know how common it is to deal with young kids (and sometimes even adults) who are still trying to figure out who they are. This is not one of those shops. Phillips not a bro. He's a great person, and an even better mechanic. I'm definitely coming back to Pink Puffin.

Later that evening, PG&E confirmed that our furnace had failed and was releasing carbon monoxide into our home. The next morning, I began calling HVAC contractors. None of the nine companies I contacted could help for at least a week. Fortunately, a friend from my daughter's school referred me to Jose. He answered on the second ring, immediately understood the issue, and told me his Vice President would be at my house within the hour. Just 30 minutes later, Rudy arrived and quickly confirmed the diagnosis with his equipment. Jose immediately recognized the urgency of the situation. Not only were we without heat in freezing temperatures, but our family was also at risk of further carbon monoxide exposure. By 5:00 p.m. that same day, Air Flow Pros had sourced and delivered a new furnace, assembled a six-person crew, and begun removing the old unit. By 8:00 p.m., the new furnace was professionally installed, the work area was spotless, and our home was once again warm and safe. The service was truly outstanding. Air Flow Pros delivered a high-quality product at a fair price and completed the entire job within eight hours of my initial call. I couldn't be happier and would recommend them without hesitation.

The new refrigerant line install looks very clean and inconspicuous against the side of the house (I couldn't even tell it was there without Jose sending me photos later on of where it was placed). The AC works like new, and the quote was very reasonable for the amount of work that was involved. Will definitely contact Air Flow Pros in the future for other jobs. Thanks Jose!

My husband and I pointed at what we wanted removed from the attic, guest walk in closet, entryway area, and the garage. We filled up almost half a truck of things that couldn't be donated. Like that really cool electric stand up desk my old tech company bought for my home office that broke. My experience with junk king was a positive, fast, effortless appointment. My feedback: other companies sweep the areas they decluttered. I really like that. It feels complete. Otherwise, they get a fiver. This kind of work is tough and I appreciate the help. Sure we can go to the dump for less. What about the bigger pieces like the furniture? It took a little over two months for it to be repaired but I got it back today and I am astounded. If I did not know better, this over a hundred year old chair could have just been carved yesterday. Peter will take a chair apart and put it back together again like magic - with a lifetime guarantee. I cannot recommend him more highly.

Brian helped me to switch out the bottom bracket on my road bike. At all times he was conscious of not putting any excessive stress on the bike. Brian is knowledgeable and exceptionally careful. He is down to earth, happy to answer questions, and forthcoming with his knowledge of bikes and bike repair - all signs of a good bike mechanic. He earned my trust through the course of this repair His turnaround time can not be beat. Most shops require you to leave the bike at a minimum overnight, but more often for at least several days. With Brian, you make an appointment, drop off your bike and he will do the repair while you go in to town for coffee. Brian's aim in starting this business is to provide bike service at a fair price in order to help people enjoy the sport of cycling. He is doing an admirable job of achieving this goal. read more

Brian is very personable; his explanations were very clear and non-technical. He gave us great advice on what needed to be done to service and repair our bikes. One of the bikes really needed a lot of repair and he suggested that I could replace it with a good refurbished bike from another area establishment; in the meantime, he didn't even charge me for all the time he had put into diagnosing my bike problems. I did go to the other place to replace the bike and it looks and works great. But I will be coming back to Brian for all the repair and maintenance work in the future. Be sure to call for an appointment to get his personal service - his repair "shop" is easy to get to if not see. read more

Highly recommended. Brian knows everything about bikes. He fixed multiple problems with my road bike that I got on craigslist. Before coming to him, I talked to few bike mechanics in Marin County and Brian was by far the most knowledgeable among all of them. He explains things very well and learned a lot from him about bike maintenance and bikes in general. Brian provides exceptional combination of quality and price. You would not be able find a better deal in the area. If I have a problem with my bike in the future, Brian will be the first person that I am going to see. read more

I came across Solstice on yelp and gave them a call. They were super responsive and were okay with me coming in right away. I was able to get my spoke repaired in about 15 minutes for $40. Very fair price. They were very responsive, respectful and gave me some tips about my bike. Highly recommended. Would definitely be back if I need any future repairs.
