We probably started a little too late to bike but Nick helped us out and let us return the bikes at…read morea nearby hotel since they closed at 5pm. We really wanted to bike around the city and to the bridge since we were only there for 3 days. Nick gave us a map and directed us on how to get to the bridge. They gave complimentary water and he walked us over to show us where to drop off the bikes. The bikes are basic and come with a little fanny pack in front so you can put small items in. The key to lock the bike is also in there if you decide to park it. Play with the gears before you take off and definitely before you go up a hill. Only thing I wished for was a bell. There wasn't a bell so we could ring for pedestrians to hear us. Pedestrians would be in the bike lane and not notice we were behind them. Also, it's a little dangerous with pedestrians walking down a hill and you're going at such a fast pace. You can request helmets which we opted out of and then decided we should have got them. All in all the service was great and the bikes did their job. Would definitely come back to them when I'm in San Fransico.

Called three times to get reservations as mentioned, each time the guy said he would call back and never did. So, decided to finally show up the day of, and he started throwing a fit about how we had no reservation! I countered with a fit about how I had tried and basically gotten no response from them. After 10 mins of this back and forth, and the other bike company across the street actually offering the same price, the guy decided to honor our Groupon! Unpleasant interaction and unpleasant start to our entire trip. Never again, please go with other companies, the rates(16$) were also offered by the place across the street. Oh and the bikes were old and creaky too!

This review is for the MTB trails on Camp Tamarancho, not the camp itself…read more It's a very challenging trail and I love it out there. Lots of bikers and not too many hikers. Beautiful scenery and mixed terrain. A lot of good people are putting in lots of hours to make this trail what it is. Especially for the Endor Flow Trail, which is awesome! Tips: - This is an intermediate/advanced trail. If you are a newbie, you'll probably have more fun at China Camp (which is also awesome). - You have to park in Fairfax and ride up. Don't try driving up the hill... it doesn't work. You can park in the neighborhood near scenic. I really like parking at Deer Park or further away and riding a bit before starting to climb, but that's just me. - Most people go in the clockwise direction. I recommend that! - Try the flow trail! Just remember to put your seat down. - Don't forget your pass. You can pick one up online or at the bike shops in Fairfax. - Be safe! I want to give it five stars, but I think I should leave that for Downieville, Northstar, Moab, Whistler, etc... when I make it to those places (eventually).

Beautiful grounds, fab food, well maintained docks - what's not to like?…read more We used to rent a boat slip at Loch Lomond, but hubby figured out it was much more cost effective to purchase a leasehold interest in a slip at MYC, even with the membership initiation and monthly dues. So when we upgraded to a bigger boat, it was relatively easy to sell our old slip and move to a larger one. An even better bonus was finding out that this marina is better protected from the wind. We love going to our boat now and just hanging out at the dock for lovely sunsets and cocktails! They also have a pool and 3 tennis courts.

Marin Yacht Club is the best kept marina on the Bay. They have a live in Harbormaster to maintain…read morethe docks and provide extra security. In addition to the Marina there is a pool, 3 tennis courts also lined to pickle ball and a world class chef providing excellent dinners on the weekends. And added amenity is the super friendly members. The restaurant/clubhouse has been redecorated and is a wonderful place for parties. Plus it's just a great place to hang out. The bar has a epic view of the Bay and canal. The bartender Laurel is a real mixologist. It has become our home away from home. We are so glad we joined. Love it here!

It is truly a choose your own adventure as some trails are more challenging than others. The Deer Park Trailhead is a short drive from lovely downtown Fairfax. One thing I love about this hike is it has a densely forested mountainous vibe to it. For those that like trees & hills this hike is for you. Two thumbs up!

This is really an unusual Trailhead. There's an old school nearby, and you have to take the trail…read moreto the left of the school. When I came out of the open space, it wasn't clear where the trail went. The trail goes beside the old school and Childcare Center. There are two restrooms as well as a drinking fountain. I counted about four picnic tables as well. If you are on a bike the trail beside the school is skinny and steep but just for a short while. So just be careful about the other hikers.
