Rob Gunther's company name says it all "Complete Installation Services" and every word is true.  We…read morelive in Hudson NY which is a small city below Albany and across the river from Ulster County where Rob is located.  He cheerfully agreed to install four 93"Long Skylight Blackout Shades for us on our glass enclosed porch, to help keep the room cool on sunny days.  Previously we had an awning that covered the sloping roof, but squirrels decided to tear it apart during the Winter to add a little canvas to their nest.  Rob readily agreed to do this project, despite the fact that our very capable handyman was stymied with the project.  Our handyman worked on it for hours and was sure that the manufacturer had botched the order.  When we phoned Rob he agreed that the installation of shades could be daunting, and skylight shades were the most difficult.  He was one of the nicest and most talented workmen we've ever had here and he installed all four shades in record time - under 2 hours which included the removal of old aluminum blinds.  We highly recommend Rob for all window treatment projects as well as audio/video projects.  We will call Rob for all our future projects.  He measures, installs and services all his work.  He charges a very fair price for his services and is friendly - who could ask for more?

Rob was friendly and courteous and most of all worked quickly and did a great job! He's a stand up guy- he pointed out a small scratch on door that he didn't have to which could have resulted in a returned door. Fortunately, it was barely noticeable and the install was great- Thank you Rob Give him a shout out you'll like him Middletown

After I bought the wrong doors that he…read moretried to install, he came back with a great solution and recommended his choice of doors and waved the installation fee of the bad door. When everything came in, he installed two doors plus replaced an overhead door with a solid, double door to the cellar. He was on time, finished ahead of schedule and his products are excellent. My neighbor liked him so much he had his front door replaced and it was stunning too. I highly recommend J & D Windows and Doors.

My father had received a quote for replacing a bay window from another company in town that he had hired before. That other company looked to take advantage of that and quoted my father a price of $10,000 to replace it. I got involved and looked for other options and was truly fortunate to find J&D Windows and Doors. First off, the price was a FRACTION of what the first company quoted, but more than that David really took in a genuine interest in discussing all the options with my father so that my father was comfortable knowing he was getting exactly what he wanted. The other company took a more cookie cutter approach and was more interested in seeing dollar signs than customer satisfaction.. Due to Covid, supply was interrupted so the new window couldn't be installed when initially scheduled. That had nothing to do with J&D but David still gave my father a discount due to the inconvenience. Completely unnecessary but most appreciated and just a classy move on his part. All told, the work to take out the old bay and put in the new took little more than a morning with a little finishing to be done the next day. The result was amazing and my father was completely overjoyed with the result and I echo how well it turned out. I and my father, recommend J&D thoroughly, absolutely and whole heartedly.

The…read moreaccountability of the damage being done during the install is now there (which is all I really wanted, as I realize accidents easily happen in such cases). Steps are being taken to fix things, and the owner is regretful that things happened as they did. I appreciate it. (I'm so glad, because Anthony does seem like a delightful guy, and I would like his company to succeed. As long as clients concerns are taken seriously, I think it will! ;) I am shocked. I wish I had read the review already posted before we hired them. Our brand new, just-stained railing somehow managed to get all nicked up and gauged today. I understand accidents happen, and there is always a slim possibility of other reasons, but when pointed out, the response was, "We weren't even working there." What? It's exactly where they were working! And, "there's nothing that would have scratched there." It's exactly where the sharp edged gutter was brought up over the railing. I couldn't believe the lack of accountability which continued. They actually tried to say there were other spots along the railing that were banged up, which was actually just not-perfect staining over bumpy wood grain...not the same thing at all as the gauges left. When they offered to stain the railings, I declined, as I just wanted them out as soon as possible after feeling so hoodwinked and disrespected Also attached it a photo of a gutter that they had banged up early in their visit. Though they ended up using it where it couldn't be seen, which is fine, it is proof that there is carelessness involved in their work. Also attached is the horribly cut hole through our brand new deck for the gutter and a crookedly installed gutter. Shoddy and unaccountable.

Instead of a regular crew, this guy apparently picks up 'day workers' here and there. The guys he brought with him looked like a bunch of ex-cons, drunks and other questionable characters. They were rude and hostile to us, no matter how kind we were to them. These untrained workers wound up making a mess of my 100-year-old Victorian: First off, they didn't bother to scrape any of the old, loose paint off first, so naturally, the paint they slapped over it began peeling within a year. There were areas where paint was applied so thinly that you could see the old paint color below. In other places, they left large spots totally unpainted (a roofer brought this to our attention months later). These slobs threw things all over the place, carelessly stepped on objects and broke them, etc. The entire job was chaotic mess! Kellogg himself is very argumentative person, defending his inept men and their sloppy work. Any time we'd point out something his guys were doing wrong - rather than acknowledging and correcting it - he'd start an argument with us instead! It was an extremely unpleasant and frustrating situation all around. The finished product was a mediocre paint job that required us to hire another painter just to come and do remedial repairs and touching-up on the mess Kellogg and his crew left us with. I will never deal with this unprofessional "painter" and his unskilled workers again.

It's getting harder and harder to find an appointment with him because he's in such demand, but it's well worth reserving him in advance. His work is impeccable. He is also incredibly nice.
