In that, I mean that there was very little "chat" or personal interaction on the salespersons part and we were left alone for far longer than we wanted. Everytime we had a question we had to go looking for someone who might have an answer or maybe even (If we were lucky) find where our salesperson kept disappearing too when we were literally the only customers in the store. To be clear, It was OK and just OK. In our experience...when trying to support local businesses, we generally find a much higher level of customer involvement by the business. This was most definitely not the case here. The feeling that we got was one of......buy or don't buy....makes no difference to us. For absolutely sure we have received much friendlier and helpful service at the big box stores (Lowe's, Home Depot, Sams Club and Costco) and frankly expected a much better experience than we received from this store which on that day....at that time.....at least appeared to not care one way or the other about us or whether we purchased from them or not. We were in desperate need of the appliances and they were in stock and ready for delivery.....so, minus all the love.....we bought the appliances and gave serious consideration as to whether we would ever go there again. Probably not. Not Mad.......Just Disappointed.

I like being able to go to a website, filter all my options, see all the specs of a product, select which one I want, pay for it and get it delivered without having to leave my house, or sometimes even talk to a person. 2. I also love supporting local businesses. I like being able to call a number where a human being (a really nice one named Leah) picks up the phone right away, and can answer all my questions. I like when someone like Leah can tell me what they have in stock that fits my needs, and how soon I could get it delivered. I like that Leah can give me a good price, and I like that the price includes delivery, installation, and taking away the old item that I'm replacing. I really like that the item in question (a fridge) got delivered when they said it would, and that there were no problems, or hidden charges. If #1 above resonates with you, HL Snyder is probably not the place you want to shop. Their website has a few options, but you're not going to be able to see their entire selection, and handle everything online. You may have to speak to a person, or go into the showroom. If #2 sounds like you, give HL Snyder a call, and they'll fix you up very nicely.

They called to let me know when the appliances would be in and when they would be installed. No excuses, no delays and no nonsense - they were right on target which is unbelievable in todays market when everything is on backorder. The installers were clean and very respectful of my property. Whatever problems they encountered they handled without any hassles or extra cost. I highly recommend this company. Maria C

I chose them over a competitor twenty-five miles closer to me because of their reputation for honest dealing and skilled service technicians. Over the past twenty years, I have found this to be the case. I recently replaced my original dw with a new Asko from Ackerman's, whose technician and I ran into problems that called for an oscillating saw (neither of us had one and it would have taken an hour to locate and obtain one from a neighbor) but were solved with hammer, chisel, muscle, and skill (none of it mine). Really impressive.

In my experience, you're going to be a lot happier with the local shop. Ruby & Quiri is no exception. When you order from a Home Depot or a Lowe's, you have to go through their stupid websites and they'll tell you the next delivery date and then it'll probably be late and you have to call for over an hour to find an actual person and wait longer while they find the right person... I've dealt with Ruby & Quiri twice now, for a fridge and then just recently a dishwasher, and they've done right by me each time. Last week, I called in and told Cindy what kind of dishwasher I was looking for and how I was in a time crunch. She was kind enough to walk me through what options they had, and then when they didn't have the exact one in stock, she went and talked to the folks on the floor and got me the floor model that matched my needs. She made sure it was in good condition, and then talked to the delivery folks who said they could throw it on a truck tomorrow even though the next delivery window was supposed to be the following week. This is the benefit of dealing with a local business. They want to make the sale, and they want to help you get what you want. I'll definitely be giving them my business again.

Every single purchase that we have attempted to made from here is incorrect or they sell you something that is clearly broken and does not work. Working with this business is the most frustrating experience I've ever had working with a business. We have had to return countless machines. They seem like a good deal but it is inferior product and service!

My mom is my source of all things gardening, and she told me to go to Story's. I looked up the website (which is great) to see what they had in stock. Under "fruiting plants" in nursery stock, I found what was basically a comprehensive list of all the fruit I could think of...so we just decided to head over and take our chances. When we arrived and walked around a bit, I realized that they actually HAVE pretty much everything on that comprehensive list, because this place is massive and awesome. I don't think I can possibly list all the things they've got, but I feel pretty confident saying that their selection is better than anything you might find in the surrounding area: Trees, shrubs, evergreens, bushes, perennials, herbs, succulents, conifers, flowers, vegetables, vines...you want plants, they've got the plants. They've also got all the garden supplies you need...plant food, fertilizer, seeds, pesticides, tools, a gorgeous selection of pots, and hooks, and garden gnomes, and more. I didn't know I needed netting to keep the birds from eating my blueberries, but they did, and they've got the netting you need. I should note that my mom frowns on netting your berries, as she believes we need to share with the birds...but she's just a much better person than I am.
