A cute little grab & go scone shop in midtown. I stopped by around 9:30am on a Tuesday. They had ~15 different options of scones and goodies! It was hard to choose. I went with the bite sized vanillas scones. So delicious! The scone was not overly dry and the icing wasn't too sweet. I could eat waaaay too many. Not going to lie, I got 5 minis, ate one on the way to the car and then went back inside and odered more! I got my husband the almond noir. I'm looking forward to trying that one as well. These would be perfect for an office meeting or breakfast option when guests are visiting. I can't wait to try more flavors! read more

Counter service was friendly and helpful on this Friday the 13th! This is an order and go kind of spot- no restaurant seating here. I decided on a variety to share with the office folks, and I couldn't resist trying a corner off several scones. Hummm, which one is my favorite? Scones are for everyone! Savannah Scone Company proves that with fantastic recipes and flavor combinations. I was introduced to Savannah Scone Co. by my parents. I love a good classic scone with clotted cream and jam/preserves. My grandmother would make scones for tea. I would go to tea with my family. I was excited for the possibility of a good scone. I pre ordered scones online with Savannah Scone. My father told me they make all of their scones daily. Once they sell out that is it. I have great appreciation for this. It takes a lot of work to make small batches of scones every day. The online pre order guarantees what you order will be there day of. We ordered a variety of savory scones for my Mum and blueberry. Then for ourselves to try the maple oat, carrot cake, royal(classic), Devonshire cream, & strawberry jam. I asked that hers be boxed separately from ours for ease for me. The bakery is located at the Medical Arts. It is 713 E 65th St. There is parking for you, be careful it can be a bit tight depending on if the lot is full. The bakery has a neon sign that flashes to help you to see it from the street. Once inside it is as neat as a pin. It feels warm and cozy. Now if there were a few people it would be tight inside fair warning. The long counter is a lovely shade of blue which displays the scones which are available. The digital menu is right above with the weekly selection. The menu does rotate weekly. Some of the favorites will stay on, but other scones or completely new ones will come onto the menu. I was greeted upon entering, by the owner no less. I recognized her from the website. She was gracious and kind. I told her I was picking up an online order. She thanked me for the order, she knew exactly who I was, because I was the last order left lol. I told her it was my first time in, complimented the bakery, and asked if I could take some photos. She replied of course and gave me a quick explanation of her place. It was a lovely interaction. I always love to see when people are genuinely happy and proud of what they do. After we finished chatting she gave me a few party bits to go to snack on in the car. It was incredibly generous of her. They were delicious by the way. Let's talk scones. I love the classic scone! It was excellent, the cream and jam were yum. And the savory scones: cheddar green chile and parmesan pesto were delicious too. My husband enjoyed the maple oat and carrot cake. So to wrap it up, my entire family loves this scone company. I think it depends on your taste buds as to which you prefer more savory or sweet. I have been following Sara's company on Instagram for a while, so I was ecstatic to see she was able to get a storefront! I didn't have the pleasure of ordering from her prior to the store, but I was there day 2 of opening. For an Irish town, we don't have many options for Irish baked goods. The store opened on a Friday. I came here at 10 AM on a Saturday and she was nearly SOLD OUT! Once you sink your teeth into one of these delicious scones, you'll immediately know why. She bakes them fresh every day. I enjoyed a birthday cake scone and the triple berry, but I can't wait to return and try the savory flavors. She serves Perc coffee, a locals favorite of course. THIS PLACE IS AMAZING!!!!!!! I drive 2.5 hours, one-way, to purchase their scones! I may have to look for a second home in Savannah because I wanna give them my money every week they publish their new menu! FOOD: These are the best scones I've ever eaten! I promise I tasted the love and passion for excellence in every bite. They're moist and packed with flavor! I'm partial to savory, so most of my purchases are of their salty delights, like Chivey Cheddar, Jalapeno Cheddar, Parm Pesto, and Skonakopita! I've also tried a few of their sweet options, and WOW!!! I fell in love with their "Cinnamon", "The Carl" (cinnamon & raisin), and "Apple Fritter" Scuffins, as well as their Blackberry Lime scones. Their ingredients are always fresh, which makes a considerable difference (fresh spinach, chives, berries, etc.)! SERVICE: I'm greeted with a genuine smile each time I walk in, and no matter how many people are in line, I never feel rushed (although I am mindful of others waiting to place their orders). They're very patient and give helpful information about each scone to help you decide! The owner is very amiable and is often seen making scones in the back or helping out with orders upfront--WITH A SMILE! ATMOSPHERE: The shop is always clean and neat; no matter how busy it is, everything seems to be in its place. Although it's slightly small, they've managed to keep it from looking cluttered while still displaying packaged teas, soft drinks, and other non-scone items for sale. PARKING: I've only ever parked here at or before 8 AM, so I've never had a parking issue. The lot isn't huge (2 parallel rows), and there are other businesses on the small strip where they're located, so I'm unsure if parking is an issue later in the day. read more

The marketing for this place is excellent! And the best thing is their marketing does not over sell the product. Their scones are spectacular. They have a daily menu because they make them fresh daily. The last time I visited, I popped in just a few minutes after they opened and they had already sold out of one of their selections for the day. The sell from a counter and there is no seating in the shop. It's a buy and bounce operation. When I arrived, I was the last person to be able to fit in the store while waiting in line. This adds to the sense that you've discovered something special....which you have. The only downside is they are priced high. YET, for a treat, they are worth the splurge! read more

We drove all the way to this place from Bluffton to try the scones. As this site is plastered all over my social media as of late. Was looking forward to trying one of the scuffins. We arrived at 10:30 they were already all sold out of both scuffin flavors. Lemon is my favorite so I was a bit disappointed having drove all this way. The scones we did get were good. Probably not worth going out of our way to get them. But we enjoyed them. Also there is no seating here you just get your scones and eat in the car. So that was slightly disappointing. The employee was friendly and knowledgeable. They should probably make more of the scuffins if they run out regularly. read more

Anyway I finally decided to give in and try my first one and it was OUTSTANDING!! These are the most amazing scones, and very nice husband and wife team. The husband came out to hold my dog while I bought scones. So nice! I got the cinnamon roll, peach cobbler and jalapeño cheddar scones and had a bite from all three today. They were divine, with a moist crumb, and did not need butter. They saved the day was making scones for a baby shower and needed clotted cream. It doesn't exist in the US unless you make it yourself. That alone takes 24 hours.
