    Moroccan Scramble
    Komal R.

This was hands down the best brunch I have had this year. First, hats off to whoever invented the spiced lavender mocha - you deserve an award. That drink is a masterpiece and lives rent free in my head. I still regret not going back for another one while in Savannah. As a french toast lover who also happens to love pistachios and chocolate, I obviously got the Dubai Chocolate French Toast. I was pleasantly surprised at the size of the french toast, it was the perfect portion to split between two people without being overwhelmingly sweet. I hate when these things are humongous in size and then you can't finish it and end up wasting most of it away. The best part was Doki Doki' Pistachio-Crusted Pistachio Gelato on top - phenomenal! We also got the Moroccan Scramble as the savory counterpart to the french toast. The moroccan-spiced minced-lamb combined with scrambled eggs and toasted chickpea was so flavorful and satisfying. After this meal, I don't believe I could ever pass through Savannah without making a trip to the Collins Q! P.S.: Please come to Philly!

Great Southern style French toast that is well presented. Wait was not long to get in and service was great. Southern hospitality is for real down here and the crowd here is plentiful. Would def recommend dropping by here if you can.

The food was exactly the way it looks and all the pictures the menu is limited at lunch because it's a brunch menu so some of the pictures that you see in the reviews are not on the menu until evening or some other menu. I'm told that the menu changes out frequently and that some things are not on there. However, the burger and the quinoa bowls were fantastic along with the coconut Chia dessert was fresh delicious and on point the atmosphere is super cool trendy very comfortable not very large maybe seats 70 people recommended to make sure you get there at a decent time as they probably will be await. Highly Recommended.

    Bubble and Squeak

Great spot for brunch. Had the bubble and squeak. Patty was cooked perfect and crispy with a nicely poached egg on top. Oh but that portabella mushroom with its decadent sauce was the highlight of the meal. All the flavors were complementary of each other and the Thai tea was refreshing. All in all I would recommend. Staff were helpful and the service prompt.

Very welcoming and considerate service, nice ambiance (even at the outdoor tables), especially on a late May evening when the temperature is just right! Food was flavorful and balanced. I especially loved the tartar (shared as starter) and the grilled rainbow trout served with baby potatoes inside. Prices are medium high, but considering the food quality, definitely worth it. I would strongly recommend this place! It was fully booked, when we arrived, but they accepted walk-ins and we found a table immediately (3 people).

So amazing for brunch! The ambiance, service, drinks and food were spot on. Only think was that one person in our group ordered a matcha latte and it was veryyyy bitter, we all tried it. Otherwise things were great. Would definitely recommend to others and will be coming back on future Savannah trips!

My Uber driver recommended this place for breakfast and it was a gem. They have great Yelp reviews so I was expecting it to be super busy but I arrived on a weekday at about 9:00 AM and there was no problem getting a seat (there were lots of patrons there so it must have been good timing). The maitre'd was cheery as was our server. I ordered the eggs Benedict with ham and it was great! I appreciated the small portion of potatoes on the side as well as the small salad. It helped to balance the richness of the hollandaise sauce. I had a coffee which was piping hot but it was a little on the lighter side which isn't my preference. This is a solid breakfast spot that's worthy of another visit.

We found this place highly recommended for brunch on Google so knew we had go give it a shot. Very delicious choice for our weekend in Savannah. The atmosphere was modern and bright. The service was great. They had a wait but it was well worth it. We had the short rib breakfast and shakshuka. Both fresh and flavorful. Their French toast looked amazing but unfortunately we didn't order. Id definitely come back next time I'm in town.

    Upstream Supreme

I loved this little restaurant in the heart of Savannah! We came around 11am in a Thursday and didn't have to wait. I ordered the upstream supreme and I really enjoyed the flavor of the slaw on top. If you love lox bagels, I would try this one for sure. The service was just a touch slower than I would have liked it, but other than that everything was great! Our server even took care to preemptively adjust the umbrellas for us since we sat outside.

Loved this spot for a nice brunch with small groups. We got to try some of the Southern style foods and this was a great twist on some classics. All of the items we tried were very large portions and delicious. The Dubai chocolate French toast was delicious and a definite try for those who have the sweetest tooth.

Everything was wonderful! This is a lovely spot in Forsyth park with indoor and outdoor seating. I chose to eat inside due to the cooler weather. I had the Forsyth Breakfast with egg whites and a side of avocado mash. It was delicious! I also had a decaf cappuccino that was top notch. My server was wonderful and made sure I was well taken care of.

Came here due to the reviews and the crowds. There was a lot of people eating here and waiting to eat here every time we walked by so decided to try for lunch. The staff were fine. They weren't rude or anything but just kind of there. Didn't go above that's for sure. Maybe they just get tired of all the people not sure. I got the chicken salad. It was alright. Definitely not as good as the crowds would make you believe. It came with home fries which were meh. The wife got the club which came with fries the sandwich was big but again nothing special and the fries I was not a fan of the seasoning. And they put on a lot of it. Daughter got the short rib hash plate. Again meh. My short rib is better. Again seeing the reviews and crowds I expected more than just a mid lunch.

    Short Rib Hash Delicious!

Service and the food here are both amazing. This place has a great vibe to it and is great for groups and or dates. I tried the Short Ribs and the wife had the lamb burger. Both were fresh and fantastic. I will be back.

What time does candlelit dinner start during dinner hours?

Candles are lit at the start of service however it doesn’t really show until it gets dark

    What day is brunch?

    Everyday

Hey do you have a kids menu?

When we went they had a kids menu if you asked (it wasn't on the written menu). They offered kids' French toast, kids egg and bacon, and a few lunch options.

    Are reservations available? TY.

Hi no they're not. First come, First serve.

How's parking? Is there a lot or just street parking? Planning on going on a Wednesday for brunch.

There was paid parking on the street but we walked. Very nice town to walk around.

    Is this restaurant dog friendly?

If you sit outside dogs are welcome, not for inside dining though.

Is there typically a wait for Sunday brunch? We will have a party of 6.

Yes there is. I would try to make a reservation if you can, there aren't too many tables for that size of a party.

Is Brunch just on the weekends or also served during the week?

Hey Rebecca! Our brunch is served 7 days a week :)

I just seen this cute place on a TV show and was wondering what the mini hour glasses on the table were for?

I believe they are "Tea Timers"

Do they take reservations for brunch?

Typically not but call anyway to try as i don't know the size of the party. Also my trick or I just sit at the bar and i usually get in quickly and have fantastic service and get to people watch.

The brunch menu is fairly…read moreextensive, so we had some difficulty choosing what to order....but definitely come hungry because the portions are large and the food is pretty rich. To share amongst the table, we ordered the cinnamon toast banane and crispy gouda grit croquettes. Thumbs up on both, particularly the croquettes which were the right balance of gooey and structured enough to eat with the delicious sauce on the side. The cinnamon toast banane was not so much toast as cinnamon rolls with bananas foster; the cinnamon rolls were really tasty and the bananas foster was good, though the bourbon flavor was strong. For my entree, I ordered one of the lighter vegetarian dishes - the mushroom tartine with tomato soup. I think it is one of the lighter dishes - certainly lighter than what my dining companions ordered - but it was still quite rich with a fair amount of gouda fondue in the tomato bisque soup. The mushroom tartine/sandwich was really flavorful with the pesto, cheese and tons of mushrooms. The restaurant is quite large with an upstairs seating area.

It…read morewas difficult to pick a restaurant to have dinner at, because there's so many great choices in Savannah, but seeing that the minds behind Common Thread were recently semifinalists for Best Chef SE through the James Beard Awards, it ended up being my choice. I'm absolutely glad I picked it. Walking in, we were greeted with smiles. The house/restaurant was stunning. It was quirky but still had its charm. We were escorted to our table, which was an odd little table halfway up the stairs, away from everyone. We were told that table was meant of anniversaries/intimate events. It felt awkward at first but it ended up being fun people watching and listening in to conversations as people walked by. Colton was our server. He was great. Extremely knowledgeable. He walked us through the menu, offered great suggestions on food and wine, did a proper wine service, and even properly pronounced the region in which the wine was from. Colton definitely made us feel special and gave us an incredible experience. I'll definitely give it to Common Thread. The knowledge in which every staff member presented was incredible. As every person dropped off an item at the table, they accurately described the dish in detail before they walked away. I've been in the restaurant industry for almost 20 years; serving, bartending, and managing numerous different types of restaurants, from casual to fine dining. I've opened up a few restaurants and have been a trainer as well. Common Thread is operating at a high level in terms of the staff's ability. The food: incredible. We started with one of each oyster, and it was insane how much flavor was packed in them. Our first course was also accompanied with the hand roll and the apple beet salad. The hand roll was fantastic. The beet salad felt like it needed some sort of acid/citrus with it, but still had great flavor. Course two was the mushroom cannelloni and the orecchiette. Both were phenomenal. My wife was obsessed with the cannelloni, the butternut squash puree was a perfect accompaniment. The pesto/parmesan foam on the orecchiette was an excellent touch. Course three we went against Colton's suggestion for the pork chop (almost got both, we were stuffed), and got the Ribeye. Great char, cooked perfectly. The peppercorn jus was an excellent topper for it. For dessert, we opted for the sticky toffee pudding. Although it wasn't sticky, the ginger pairing with it was an excellent touch. This is one of the best experiences we've ever had at a restaurant. This will be a staple for us whenever we're back in Savannah and will definitely be asking for Colton again. He is the kind of server I'd like to have at my restaurant. Props to Common Thread, props to Colton.

We were sat in what I believe used to be a front parlour, by a window over looking the street. We had a dual service with one person being the "main" server, his name was Michael. He was in charge of giving us the spiel and answering our questions. A woman (I forget her name, sorry! But she was lovely) was in charge of running the food and clearing the plates. It was a very well run machine. The menu is pre set, but there were choices on some of the courses, like course where an option was a soft shelled crab - I definitely wanted to take advantage of that! We started off with Biscuits with butter and homemade orange marmalade, these were delightful, so fluffy and soft, and the marmalade was sweet, not bitter like it sometimes can be. The Amuse bouche was a trio of tiny items: a pimento cheese tart, a mussel with chipotle sauce and panko, and a square of salmon with mild wasabi and ginger. The salmon was definitely my favorite. The fifth course had a special as I noted before, so I opted to go for that, it was a soft shell crab with garlic, herbs and a vidalia onion slaw. Topped with peanuts and a white wine sauce. I think my favorite course of them all was the scallops with the carrots and the whipped ricotta - so simple but so delicious! Phenomenal special occasion place or just to cross off your bucket list. I got mine with tequila and the server was very knowledgeable about the drinks and the liquors that would work well with each one. We decided the best route for us was to split 2 apps and 2 entrees. For appetizers, we went with the focaccia and the crispy brussel sprouts. Both were AMAZING! I always love bread to start a meal. And the Brussels were nice and soaked in balsamic glaze, which maybe diminished the "crispy" in the title... but I didn't mind because they were delicious. For our entrees, we went with the gnocchi and the catfish served over grits. I would say the standout was the catfish. The gnocchi was good, but not as good as the other dishes we had. Overall we had a great experience splurging a bit on a nice meal. I would definitely recommend getting a reservation on the weekends. They seemed to be busy!

Came here excited for dinner and almost didn't make it past the host stand…read more We were told they were fully booked and asked if we wanted to come back another night -- no mention of a waitlist, no "we can add you just in case," nothing. It felt like a quick dismissal. I had to ask if there was a waitlist, and only then were we told it was about 45 minutes. On top of that, parts of the conversation were directed to my husband rather than me (even though I was the one speaking), which didn't sit right. This interaction was with a hostess [long hair, glasses]. Thankfully, another hostess [short blonde hair, orange pants] stepped in, and they shuffled some tables, and got us seated -- which we really appreciated, especially with a toddler. From there, the experience completely turned around. The ambiance was really cute -- dim lighting with little candles that made it feel cozy and romantic. Our server [tall, muscular] was fantastic and the food was genuinely very good. So here's the takeaway: the kitchen and service once seated are strong, but the first impression at the door needs work. It shouldn't take a second ask to feel like a guest.
