Many moons ago, I felt Save More was the pricey grocery store compared to the one on Highway 70...but that was years ago, and I feel Save More has certainly turned the corner...this is now my go-to grocery store when I am in the Northwoods. You can't beat their selection of regional and specialty items that you don't always find in other city grocery stores. I think it's a nice touch to have a cart or two of reasonably priced discounted and discontinued items - that's nice to see. Aside from a great looking deli with select hot foods, a to-go salad bar (priced by weight), and a decent selection of fresh bread, Save More has the best fresh-made donuts and pastries this side of the Mississippi River. Sure wish you were closer but you do make it worth my 2.5 drive! I actually never thought I'd write a review of a grocery store (I specialize in restaurants around the world) but during COVID I've been stuck close to home so here goes. I like Save More Marketplace a lot. Probably the only reason I don't do all of my shopping here is that during the busy tourist season is is hard to make a left turn out of their parking lot. When we had COVID in our household I needed to use their on-line shopping service with contactless curb side pick up. For the most part it worked well. I did find the on line shopping app a bit cumbersome -- items are not always grouped together by type so I had to scroll through lots of un-related items before finding what I was looking for. If the personal shopper cannot find the item selected they will substitute with something they think is close to what you ordered. For my order, they missed by a mile. But except for this one mis-step everything else was fine. As far as COVID protocols everything looks good. Employees are masked and behind plexiglass barriers. Wipes and gloves are complimentary. If I get COVID, it probably won't be from Save More. ;) read more

Grocery stores that carry IGA brand food are becoming increasingly hard to find and that's unfortunate since my favorite brand of mac and cheese is IGA. On my way up north I was ecstatic to see Save More carries this brand and that the mac and cheese happened to be on sale. Needless to say I bought almost every box on the shelf. I didn't stay longer than needed to buy the mac and cheese, but from what I could tell the store looked modern and clean and checking was a breeze, even with it being busy on a weekend. read more

Got their order ahead Easter Dinner. Was not disappointed!! We got a dinner for 2-3. Could have gone at least for 4. Rolls, pork loin, 4 sides (about 10 choices), Cherry pie for dessert. Very fresh and high quality. Well seasoned. Other options were ham or turkey. Apple pie or Easter cupcakes. I'd do this again without hesitation. Thank you staff. read more

This is a great grocery store. Very nice and organized organic selection with affordable prices. Friendly staff throughout the store, including the deli and bakery. Last month I got a custom cake from the bakery and it was fantastic. Everyone at the party raved about how good it was. Very pleased. Save More has had a facelift this past summer and looks good; same nice folks and good selection inside. They have a small sitting area near the front door where you can enjoy a cup of coffee purchased at the desk and use the free wifi. The meat selection is decent and the bakery and deli are great! Still have a nice beer/wine selection and the cheapest buttermilk in town :) Good place to stop and grab a few things to avoid the Trig's/Walmart parking lot follies..... read more

This is a very nice little super market. Very clean, and the food is always fresh. The premade sandwiches and wraps are delicious. They even have what I assume is a man cave. Next to the coffee bar when you walk in is a small room with tables, chairs and a tv. I think this is where you leave the husband and kids while shopping. Kuddos Save More! read more

When we are "up north" this is my grocery store. Here you can just stock up, which is putting it mildly. They have almost everything you will need up in the boonies. In particular, their fruits and veggies, bakery, (especially the fresh fruit pies which are tart and not overly sweet) and deli selections are really extensive. You won't go in there without finding a boat load of sales. The store is immaculate and everyone who works there is helpful and friendly. Even if you are splurging on flowers or need decent wine for entertaining you will find it there. They are also open relatively late too. I might suggest that if you are in need of pharmacy supplies; that's where the prices and selection are not the way to go. I also think they need to stock the large bags of cracked corn for customers and not simply the whole corn. But they still deserve 5 stars and that's what they are getting from me. Save More is by far the better choice for places to buy groceries in the Minocqua area. I have made suggestions on products to purchase, and they have followed through and stocked their shelves. They're not trying to monopolize the area like some stores I know... they keep it humble, while serving the customer's needs. read more

This is a wonderful grocery store! I have been shopping here for many years. I also recommend this bakery to everyone I know, however in the last few months the bakery special order cakes have been terrible!! I have ordered three and only one was up to par. The second they had to totally remake, they didn't follow the order at ALL! Third was a two tier and I was very disappointed. They basically refuse to do fondant anymore even though they advertise it on the website! Multiple friends have had the same situation. This is so disappointing because there cakes used to be AMAZING!! read more
