SAVE YOURSELF THE TIME The items here are way over priced for second hand stuff that was donated to them in the first place. Any name brand clothing item is going to cost over $20 which is insane. No pants in a thrift store should be more than $20. You are paying close to retail for some items. What was mind blowing is that they are charging $3.50 for a used pair of boxer briefs. Who is going to pay that much for used underwear?? It will cost another $3 of cleaning solution to sanitize it. Might as well buy some new ones. There is decent merchandise for sale, it's clean and organized but it is 80% women's clothes. There's hardly any men's clothes; just a small section tucked in the back corner. My husband and I decided to make a couple thrift store stops for the day. This was our 3rd stop and let's just say we spent about 5 minutes here. The pros: - large store with big selection - tons of books The cons: - didn't like the clothing options as much as other thrift stores - sale only on Mondays And now the major con: the prices are absolutely ridiculous! You might as well head to Marshall's or Ross and get brand new better quality clothing because it will be the same price as here. They are trying to sell SHEIN clothing for $8-15. Prices are way to high! You can buy new things at the prices they are charging now. I've always donated here. Now they just let you put your items in their bins or they are very careless handling your donations. Back to Hopes Closet or St Vincent De Paul. I did find a new spot. St Pete's Repete in Litchfield Park. Dresses are all $5. Tops all $4 Pants all $4. They have a $1 clothing rack outside. Great prices on everything! It's a church thrift store. Lots of men and women's clothing. Nice selection of miscellaneous items too. read more

First off no fitting rooms so I bought two pairs of overpriced jeans I didn't even know would fit I got home and of course they didn't fit so I went to return ... they don't even do returns only exchanges .. for a place that gets their shit for free donated from the public this blows my mind . Today, 1/29/25, My mother who is 89 years old shops at SAVERS at 10720 W Indian School Rd Phoenix AZ. At the self-check out I started to purchase her items. The cashier came up to me and said... can I check out the flowers in the vase? I said sure. She then said flowers don't come with vase. She replied in a way as if my 89 year old mother, who shops there weekly and donates often, was attempting to steal the plastic flowers. When I challenged her on her remarks, she said- oh no, that was not what I was trying to say. We went back and forth over my 89 year old mother not attempting to steal the plastic flowers. I asked for the manager and she said I am the manager. I asked for her Manager she gave me a number of 360-474-4206 nothing but a voice mail. She then called Security to have my 89 year old mother and myself removed from SAVERS. We kindly left the store with the security guard sarcastically saying... Have a nice day. As much as my mother shops and donates to SAVERS at 10720 W Indian School Rd in Avondale/Phoenix. There was no need to suggest my 89 year old mother was attempting to steal $2.00 plastic flowers with her other purchases. I do not normally write reviews. However, when SAVERS in Avondale/Phoenix suggest my 89 year old mother was attempting to steal plastic flowers that they said will cost $2.00, I had to share with all of you! read more

I went in super excited to be in my first time savers experience im 6 months very visibly pregnant and I need to pew every other stop. Unfortunately I had came to this one. As soon as I walk in I ask an associate so that I can shop in peace she notifies me there are no restrooms there. I'm standing there like hmm how can that be. I continue to be civil and ask where the nearest bathroom is she proceeded to shrug her shoulders. I had to get back into my truck and go to a chevron across the street. I did go back to see what savers was about but by then my experience was ruined. read more

This is our local Savers and we have been coming here for years! It's a hit or miss and depends when you visit the store. On weekends you're less likely to find rare/name brand items as opposed to the weekdays when they are less busy. If you shop for items while they're not in season you can score big! Summer clothes in the winter is cheaper then summer time and vice versa. Their sections have a good variety of items as well. The aisles are clean and spacious UNLESS you come on a 50% off day. Even then the employees keep up well so it's not a mess. Bathrooms are spotty. They can either be clean or really dirty. Weekends they tend to be more messy. The employees are nice and friendly. We have donated here as well. The process is really easy! You drive up, you ring the bell, wait, and an employee will come out and help you unload if needed. Afterwards they give you a tax write off sheet and a coupon for a discount to use in store. They have sales everyday which depends on which colors are selected. Recently every Monday has been 50% off all store and we take advantage of that! If you sign up for their membership, you get to shop a day before their big sales. They will send you an email to let you know when that is. Highly recommend signing up for that. You also get point discounts for shopping there. Make sure when you shop here to have a reusable bag to place your items in after you check out. If you don't that's not a problem. You can buy one there or you can buy a paper bag for $.10. Overall it's a good store in a good location. read more

My favorite thrift store in the area! It's always clean and organized. I've found so many great deals here. They also have a membership program which includes specials and email reminders for sales. It gets pretty crazy on days where everything is 50% off but not terrible and soooo worth the hassle. read more

This is one of the best locations I've visited! Wide selection of name brand clothing and very good condition! With every thrift store, there are a few hit or misses with the items. You just really have to give yourself time to go through all the isles to see what they have! On Mondays, the whole store is 50% off and select color tags on sale for the rest of the week. CANNOT beat that. Goodwill only offers 50% every other week while Savers is every Monday. read more

My favorite Savers! I will drive down from Tucson just to go to this location! Today I went for the Memorial Day pre-sale for club card members. I arrived at 10:17, 17 minutes after it opened and there was a lot of people already there! There was a line/wait for fitting rooms, which is understandable considering the sale. Typically I like to go in the mornings, when there is less people and more items available. I shop at this location often. Good selection, although it is always a hit or miss at any second-hand store. Today I left with four purses, all in mint condition! I found an Aldo bag for $14.99 ($7.50 with the half off sale) in like-new condition!! If you look right you can sometimes find name-brand bags/purses that are a steal! I got all four purses for $22 with the sale that was going on. My cashier was very nice! This is my third time having her. She remembers me and is always very kind. I saw the manager helping a customer move out a couch to his car. I have never had an issue with their customer service. They have good holiday sales! And signing up for a club card is definitely worth it because you get to enjoy the sale a day early :) Parking lot is big and there is plenty of space. read more

I waited at the counter where the jewelry was . There was a man working the cash register right there he closed is register walked away. Not once did he say someone will be with you, you need any help. Also about 3 other workers were standing in the area by the jewelry counter, not one single soul acknowledge me. Went to return an item. The day before I purchased and asked if it was returnable if didn't fit. Was a coffee pot. She yold me I had 14 days to return for store credit. The next day went to return and manager said I could not return for credit, because it says at the cash register only clothing. I explained i was told day before I could return. He got nasty and again said store policy and it was on receit. I then said was told I could return or I wouldn't have purchased. I then said then I was lied to. He got nasty to me and even raised his voice to insult level. Keep in mind this was a 3.00 item. I tossed the pot in the trash and walked out. I'm sure he picked it up and put back on shelf for resale. Over the past 5 yrs I have donated lots of nice stuff in which they have profitted hundreds. Furniture, lighted Christmas tree, clothing, and miscellaneous. It wasn't the store policy or the fact the cashier made a mistake, it was his attitude and care less approach on handeling the situation. So very rude! Lost out on my future business and donations! The store is so organized and clean, and the prices are so much better than any Goodwill, since they've up their prices so much. BUT, the area is going downhill so fast. I was there a couple days ago, and there was a homeless guy right outside the doors, pacing back and forth. Then when I was in shopping, a couple came in. They were either homeless or druggies. I felt so sad for the girl because her boyfriend was so mean to her, and she was scared of him, you could tell. He started yelling in the store, walking all over the store, acting crazy. She tried to calm him down, but he was on something. Anyway, I guess you can't change location, but this store would be so much nicer if it was somewhere else. I've been frequenting this Savers since the day it opened a few years back... They have a great one dollar tag sale on Mondays which is pure bliss I tell you!! Having a tough week, head over to Savers with a 20 dollar bill on Monday and you will come out a new woman with a new wardrobe!! My mother is the one who actually got me hooked on this deal lol.. The original frugality of the family lol. Overall, I cannot give this thrift store five stars just because I am a thrift store whore and have visited about every thrift store in and around the Phoenix area and have plenty of experience with many other thrift stores. This Savers requires a lot of digging, but some of my best finds have been a Dooney and Bourke gently used wallet for $16.00. Banana Republic black sling shoes for $5.99. Brand name NEW work out clothes and plenty of NEW with tags vintage dresses all under $9.99. This Savers is okay for just cheap everyday wear, other than that you won't find many unique and extravagant pieces here. Also, for some reason, everyone that shops here is really nice and friendly, no competiveness at all :) read more

I have no issues with this savers. It's exactly what you'd expect. Many places are simply thrown around with no rhyme or reason. I do like that they have plenty of books as that's my main reason for shopping here. They like to advertise holloween and other holiday ideas but attempt to sell these items at retail. I've been to many, if not all of the major "Savers" and "Goodwill" stores in the entire city of Phoenix, and none of them have compared to this Saver's store. I'm new to the area, and recently took a walk across the street to check this place out. One of the very first things I noticed after walking through the door, was that everything in the store was neatly aligned, stacked, organized, and nothing was really amiss. Even shirts were color-coded on the racks. All of the wires and cables for electronics were sorted, nothing seemed to really be out of place. As far as the staff, everyone in this store seemed genuinely happy to be there and seemed to be content with their work. Staff was very nice. I have no real complaints with anything EXCEPT that a lot of things are marked up a bit higher than they are actually worth. There was a desk in fair condition, some scratches here and there, that was marked to $90; The same desk is sold at Staples for $79.99. Another instance of this was with a love seat with some tears on the arms (cat scratches) that was marked to $115, but I was looking at the same love seat in Sears for $89.99. I had noticed this with a few other items here and there. Some things could be re-evaluated as far as price, but that's more about the people in the back or maybe corporate, I suppose. read more

I stop in here every few weeks to check out the new deals. The values have diminished somewhat since new management took over, but there are still bargains to be had. Things got much better when they brought back the color tag of the week feature. Lots of decent clothes here, housewares is hit or miss. Staff is mostly friendly and helpful although there tend to be long lines at the checkout counter. read more

I would never shop at this Savers again. I have observed 2 different managers belittle their employees. As a person with over 20 years of management experience, I would never treat anyone in that manner. I don't know how selective Savers is in their selection of their supervisors, but it appears as though the company needs to provide some leadership training for their supervisors. On the other hand, I have seen excellent management skills at the Savers near Arrowhead mall. Maybe they need to send the Avondale managers at that store for a shift at that location to help them learn how to treat employees and make them feel valued. When employees feel valued, their performance is better and the quality of their work is improved. read more

This one star review is based on a parking lot experience, of all things, which ultimately kept me from going inside. I had a doctor's appointment in the area and had 45 minutes to kill in the meantime. I decided to go down the street and see what Savers had to offer that day (nothing calms my nerves like shopping and considering I was meeting with a surgeon, I decided coming here would help). I pulled into the parking lot (it was almost noon, 11:50-something). As I started to take my key out of the ignition, a group of 4 young men caught my eye. They were standing behind a big white pick up truck and were fiddling with something. Seeing that the owner of the truck was walking towards his vehicle, they started walking and hid out of sight from the man (but not from your's truly!) to see what he would do. I'm not sure exacty what they messed with, but as the man started the truck and started to drive away, he stopped and got out. He went around to the back of the truck and seemed puzzled. The boys, all no older than 16 (except for a short chunky one with gold chains around his neck), found this to be hilarious. I kept watching, allowing my inner 86 year old nosy neighbor side come out in full effect, practically taking notes on the boys' behavior. They soon started wandering the parking lot and found another vehicle to mess with. I decided that this was going to make me scrap my Saver's adventure and just head over to my surgeon's office. I'm not sure who I should (or even *could*) have told about this, but I sort of wish I had. So, with that said, the store is nice, but the area.. eh, not so much. read more

I love savers and this one is huge. I like finding skate brands and expensive labels for much less here. But that being said, less isn't as low as it used to be or should be. No clothing in this place should be 9.99. And I look at wine glasses - $1.29 EACH??? I could buy nice new ones for that price in fact World Market has great ones for less!!! I think whomever is setting the prices on all this used stuff is way off base. Savers will lose business if that keeps up. Still it remains a good place to find a deal if you don't mind picking through a lot. read more
