I also love…read moreMidtown Mercantile Merchants .. for a lot of reasons: The two floors (an elevator, too) are filled with a vast array of merchandise, beautifully displayed, the store is immaculate, the staff is nothing short of wonderful, friendly, knowledgeable and just nice. The pricing varies, of course, within each vendor's booth, some more or less than others because each vendor has his/her own interesting collection displayed. I have spent time talking with the vendors and now know some by name. They are happy to meet us too. Forgot to mention .. woman owned. Going on too long here.. it's first on my list of places to go, it's cool inside, there is good parking, and if you have forgotten to do your grocery shopping, Whole Foods is near by. Midtown Mercantile Merchants is No. 1 on my list.

It was soo much fun walking around and seeing all the thrift and vintage items they had. I would come here all the time if I lived close to really spend time looking around at all they have to offer because this place is huge. They even have a downstairs with more items! I didn't even notice the downstairs, but my guy did. I'm soo glad I checked it out because I found a beautiful vintage metal art piece that was perfect in my guest room! Their clothes are separated by their color (love this!). Of course they have size dividers on the clothing racks. Clothes were in pretty good condition & I found that their prices were reasonable unlike another common thrift store in town. They even have dressing rooms! Only problem I found with their dressing rooms is there is no bench to sit down on if needed nor anyplace to set your purse. I only found 3 posts to hang clothes on but unfortunately others had left their unwanted items on them. I did find a rack outside the dressing room to hang your clothes on that don't fit/you don't like. I had to use the bathroom while there & found the ladies room clean & they even had more than one stall. There was two water fountains outside of the bathrooms & one had a filter water option so if you happen to bring in your water bottle you can fill it up with filtered water. I wish on their shoe racks that they had the sizes on the shelves & their shoes organized by their size. I found an expensive pair of dress pants for only $5.00! I also found a large selection of crafting scissors & bought a couple of them to use with a scrape book that I want to put together. There was no line when I went to check out. The cashier was nice. The store didn't have a strong smell of air freshener like some other thrift stores have. I didn't feel gross after shopping here. I'll definitely want to stop in here again next time I'm in town visiting my friend. I was very impressed. :-)

The Tucson Thrift Shop actually connects with a pass through with another store called, The Other Side. I don't know if they're two separate shops or one big one, but they sold the same type of vintage clothes, costume jewelry, and costumes perfect for any occasion. The staff were friendly, but stayed behind the counter and offered a nice smile and said hello when you entered the store and have a nice day when you left. They certainly dressed as if they shopped at their own store and had enough tie dyed shirts to make any deadhead happy. If you're in town, it's definitely worth a peek inside. I bought a hamburger hat for my burger club and my son would have bought a couple items if his "square" parents weren't there to make him feel "lame.

It's a row of really cool shops of arts and antiquities, Southwest inspired furniture and home goods. Great for an afternoon of browsing with a coffee stop at Tooleys Cafe. If looking for custom furniture in a reasonable amount of time buyer beware of certain furniture makers like the Lost Barrio Gallery. This artist, although talented, works on his own schedule with no regards to customer requests. Meaning extremely slow. Rustica is the most amazing store where you will buy something for sure.
