The campus is lovely and perfect for young children; bright colors and loads of fun toys. The school also has a huge backyard to play in with bikes and a playground. The teachers are all kind and knowledgeable and the smaller class sizes ensure plenty of one on one attention. My kiddo has made lots of friends and learned her alphabet and how to write her name and sound out words. I appreciate that there are themes that focus on fairy tales, and pets, and the human body ,and everything else in between. Our daughter is always excited to go to school--I would highly recommend this preschool to anyone looking for a clean, loving environment to send their kiddos.

My husband and I transitioned our 5 year old son after being in a in home daycare to a more 'school…read morebased' care/preschool as he fell along the later Kindergarten kids since his birthday is in October and we were a little too late to enroll him to WCSD Pre-K programs, but also needed something more full-time rather than a 7-12pm timeframe. Purple Door Preschool D'Andrea is located next to my mom's apartment at Eastland , so my husband and I thought it help with drop off and pick ups. I have also had multiple friends mention they love Purple Door. When I first called, they said I could come by anytime during the week to do a tour. So I went with my son and met Mr. T for the first time who showed me the D'Andrea campus . I was impressed with the type of rooms they had, the different themes each month, and the 'curriculum' they offered for the kids , especially for the 4/5 year olds who are about to go into Kinder. We made the decision to officially transition our son around October time and my son was really excited. So far with my experience with this school, I had concerns at first with the transition and my son making friends as he met some of his closer friends at his old daycare . Everything was good so far, but my son did have an issue he expressed to me about another kid who supposedly not as nice to my son. I mentioned my concerns to the teachers about the other child targeting my son, however the teacher explained that the other child did have some problems with other kids also and fair enough my son can have a lot of energy too and is still working on his boundaries as a 5 year old. That was the beginning of my sons time with PurpleDoor but have not heard anymore problems with the other child after that. They also got the cubbies confused on my sons first day of school where we had an awkward situation with another parent about my sons cubby being incorrect . It was an easy resolve though, and it all worked out at the end. My son has been able to spell his name, his last name, and progress more with his cognitive learning since being at PurpleDoor and I've been happy with all the other extra curriculum they've done at the school like their winter performances and right now their soccer shots that I just enrolled my son on Tuesdays till March. This is a school where you do have to provide your own lunches for your kids but they have parties every now and then. They do also follow WCSD calendar, so anytime the schools are closed are when PurpleDoor is closed along with winter delays or fire days , but they do communicate with you over the BrightWheel app and emails regarding any closure or delays. Every month you are required to bring a Costco size snack for the kiddos as they provide the snacks and fresh fruit for them. Finally this is a tuition based school with different cost for part time and full time care along with before and after school care. As a first time parent, I do recommend to look at all your options for care especially if you have a 4/5 year old because there are Pre-K programs for WCSD as long as there is room and not tuition based and depending on your location in NNV other preschools may offer till 6pm care without paying an addition cost for after school care. But I do recommend PurpleDoor Preschool as the teachers are great, the curriculum is good, and my 5 year old son absolutely loves it.

Our kids: - were excited to be there every day - were surrounded by wonderful, nurturing teachers who balanced play with development. Our kids were beyond prepared for kindergarten in every sense. - made tons of friends, including from younger and older classes because there's some cross-over play time. It's small enough that every teacher knew our kids well. - loved the facility - the rooms have a super happy energy and the backyard is shady and full of activities - had the option to participate in a wide range of extra activities that the school coordinates to take place onsite - Spanish, soccer, swimming, gymnastics, dance Both of my daughters attended from age 3 onward and I only wish we'd started there sooner because the difference in their happiness between their first preschool and Creative World was so stark. We're so grateful to everyone there who played such a pivotal role in our children's lives (and ours in taking such good care of them!). We've since recommended it to a number of friends, who've all had similarly fantastic experiences.

Additionally, Creative World provides enrichment opportunities you can choose to have your child participate in throughout the school day such as Spanish classes, gymnastics, Soccer Shots, and swim lessons through Little Ones Swim next door. This was so helpful as a parent because he could learn different skills and it was all taken care of during the school day. Every month they send out a schedule of snacks, events, and themes for the week. They are on top of curriculum and they stick to their plans. Miss Liz also makes sure things are running smoothly and has amazing communication with the families. I would highly recommend Creative World!

We called in early March for availability for our infant and were told the soonest was May which worked perfectly with our timeline. We came in to tour and then coordinated a day to come in before our infants first day. We came in to do our orientation a week prior to the first day and Yaya seemed very confused when we came in and told us she "couldn't remember" what room our infant was placed into.. We were shown the classroom she would be in and were introduced to the teachers. We were told that she would have a cubby for all her items; however, on the first day of drop off she did not have a cubby or an area for her items. Not to mention I did not even recognize the teachers who were in the classroom with her. When I went to look for the items I dropped off, I found them items on the floor in a storage closet while other infants had their items neatly set up and put away. When we confronted the center they claimed "a label" is not a reflection of the care our child will receive and the excuse was "Erica" has been out for a week and they didn't know where our infant's stuff was so they couldn't set up her items properly. They had plenty of notice to prepare for our infant advance. It may just be a label but what it shows me they are unorganized, lack basic communication skills amongst their employees and if they can't properly store her necessities, they lack the ability to they take care of my child, it is 100% a reflection of the care my child will receive.

We deeply regret recounting our concerning experience with Discoveries Preschool. As professionals…read morewith a background in education and truancy enforcement, our expectations for childcare standards were not met at this establishment. Following our daughter's weekend illness and her subsequent approval to return to daycare on October 31, she endured an entire day of isolation without any notification, a clear violation of the center's policy. Tiff, the Assistant Director, provided documentation that raised alarming inconsistencies with state-mandated reporting requirements. Despite being dropped off at 7:36 am and picked up at 4:30 pm, we received no communication, a direct contradiction to their policy that mandates parents be notified within an hour if a child is isolated due to illness. Furthermore, the provided documentation indicated our daughter was offered water only once at 9:25 am, with no other fluids offered throughout the day. Tiff's speculative explanations, including the possibility of teething, and her overall lack of accountability raise questions about the accuracy of the records. Compounding our dissatisfaction, our attempts to communicate with Gina, the owner, have been unsuccessful. Tiff's lack of knowledge and accountability as the Assistant Director is disconcerting. We prepaid for the month, but upon removing our daughter from the center on October 31, Tiff mentioned only a one-week refund, which we find ethically questionable. Additionally, the documentation stated that they offered our daughter lunch, but it claimed she refused. However, when we checked her lunchbox, her uncrustable sandwich was unopened, indicating neglect and raising doubts about whether she was served her lunch. In light of these concerns and potential breaches of childcare standards, we have filed a formal report with the state authorities to investigate for possible child danger. Tiff's suggestion that our daughter's isolation might be due to a runny nose, combined with the apparent lack of diversity at the center, leaves us deeply concerned. The failure to address our legitimate concerns, provide a comprehensive refund for the remaining period, and the potential neglect of our daughter's nutritional needs underscore the unprofessionalism we experienced. We share our story with the hope that other parents exercise caution in selecting childcare centers, considering the serious issues we encountered at Discoveries Preschool. Our daughter's well-being, adherence to ethical practices, and the provision of diverse and inclusive care should be non-negotiable in any childcare setting. (If anyone is needing comfort in seeing our documentation I am more than happy to provide)

The…read morefirst day seemed to go okay, though I was concerned when the main teacher of my child's room stopped mid sentence to yell at a different child across the room. I set it aside since it was to have the child remove something from their mouth and I figured that was better than choking. When I arrived to pickup up my child he was happy and didn't want to leave. The second day when I arrived to pickup my child he wanted to leave immediately, he was even distressed when I stopped to grab his lunch and water bottle. As soon as we arrived home he began to grab the front of his diaper and say "ouch, ouch, ouch." This is something he had never done before, he had never even said "ouch" before. When I changed his diaper I discovered that his genitals and the area immediately surrounding them were red and inflamed. Upon further inspection the skin from the body of the penis was torn away from the glans. Again, something that has never happened before with my child. I immediately documented the incident, called the facility to report the incident and that my child would not be returning. The director apologized and said they would speak with the teachers in that room. I received an email later that evening that the teachers reported that his last diaper change (20 mins before I picked him up) was wet and everything was normal. Nothing else. I picked up his items later that week and there was no acknowledgment of the incident. I asked several friends who have boys if they had ever had anything similar happen with their kids; none, not a single one had ever had this issue. They were all shocked to hear of such an incident. The only thing they could think of was either long nails or jewelry snagging the skin of his penis while changing him or being overly rough while changing him. I am not a person who wears long nails or jewelry, so this is not something I thought of. My child is very active, has run around the house naked playing and climbing, and has never ever injured his genitals doing so. Regardless, either the teachers providing care to these 2 year olds don't know what normal is or they (and/or the director) lied about any incident occurring. I'm so glad I removed my child from the facility when I did, earlier this summer I received notification that a teacher in the 2 year old room was reported to social services for mishandling a child. Do not leave your child here. The anxiety of trying to find another childcare facility to trust has been an utter nightmare since our experience here.

Am I the only one this is happening too??? Week 1 off incident Teo 3 years old has "Ringworm" now my son suffers from eczema since he was a baby. But because it was a perfect circle the center flagged it as "ringworm" ok fine picked him and took him to his medical office. Got him some steroid cream and fixed the ringworm issue. He missed the entire week school kept the 170.00 kool fine they got bills to pay too. Week 2 upon his return Teo had two blow outs no fever no nothing ok fine we pick him up where told he can't return for 72 hrs. So another fully paid week kool I work from home and mom is available so guess that's kool......I have millions to donate I guess.... ohh no diarrhea the rest of the day or week by the way Week 3 Teo returns and now not even 4 hrs in school I get a call Teo has a cough you need to pick him up oh by the way in order for him to return he needs a negative covid test.... me being the worried mother I am takes him to Renown urgent care to get that covid test. Feeling guilty the entire time over putting him in a day care. Scared he might actually have covid and all sorts of thoughts racing through my head. 72 hrs late Teo has a negative covid test doctor says it's just my son adjusting to daycare life that it's totally normal for kids to catch things when they've never been in daycare. Week 4 only went like a day due to holidays Week 5 brings to today Teo experienced a nose bleed At school a couple hours after my husband and I dropped him off. FYI I did not take Teo to school Monday because he legit had a cough this time. So ok they call I send my husband to pick up Teo. Somewhere between the pick the school calls back "Manu Teos brother said daddy hit Teo" ok that's concerning anyways.... hubby comes home watches Teo while I work..... oh by the way Teo does get regular nose bleeds it's on his medical record and I do remember telling the teachers about it. It's due to the dry air in the valley and his sensitive nose. 4 hrs later we have the RPD AND CPS thank god at least I know our city is on it for reports. I want to give them a big shout out as if this was a legit reason I would owe them my life my everything!!!! I appreciate our law enforcement especially our case workers and am glad they came over today. Upset emotional and a bit embarrassed but overall satisfied with the empathy and support shown today!!!! Needless to say my boys will never go back to SNACS I UNDERSTAND THEY ARE REQUIRED TO REPORT INCIDENTS AND WHAT NOT. That's fine but after reviewing the multiple incidents not mention all things my boys say happen there that now I feel where big time red flags.... So back to my question any other moms/dads get there kids regularly sent home from SNACS.... The director legit told me "every daycare has that one kid who is always sick" "Teo happens to be that kid" I think is false his only been sick according to them while in there care bacause this past 5 weeks his been fine while at home in exception to this past weekend. So please any feedback is appreciated I need to know if it's only my family or if this is happening to any other family's. I will also need a new daycare center or licensed babysitter I pay 170.00 per each child and I work Monday-Friday 11:30-8:00 but they only need care from 11:30 to 4:30.
