I love ginger beverages- it wasn't overpowering here, I mostly tasted the kiwi and sparkling lemonade. It was busy in there but we still got our orders and drinks quickly, I appreciate how fast the service was. My friend got one of their banana bread drinks - if you like the taste of hojicha, this was particularly strong which I personally enjoyed! Love how the store also has sections where it is like a little market selling local goods and always fun to see the dogs that are sitting outside. The prices are a little expensive (my refresher before tax was $7.5) but typical for what you'd pay in Toronto for a fun drink, from what I've seen.

I'd absolutely come here to get some work done if I was able to get a seat. One thing I really love is that they sell handmade goods from local artists and host craft nights, it feels very community driven and adds such a fun, unique touch to the café. Drinks I tried: Maple Goguma Latte - Slightly nutty, lightly sweet, and super comforting. I added a shot of espresso, which made it perfectly balanced and not too sweet. Dalgona Latte - A really fun drink with great texture. Just make sure to stir it well since the sweetness settles at the bottom. They're known for their creative, seasonal drink menu, and I'm already excited to come back to try what they release next season. Definitely a must-visit if you love cozy cafés, unique drinks, and supporting local artists.

I've been to White Squirrel several times but recently they decided to renovate and I came back to check out the new space on their reopening day! Where you order your coffee is accessible, however, if you want to enjoy seating in the new space you have to go up a flight of small stairs. Menu wise, the cafe has drip coffee, cold brew, as well as your usual espresso based drinks (americano, cortado, flat white, latte, mocha, cappuccino, and lattes). They also have teas and other drinks like hot chocolate, hot lemon, cider, London Fog, matcha latte, as well as a sparkling ginger lemonade. There are also pastries on display if you'd like to grab something to eat. The newly renovated store also has a selection of snacks (think chocolate bars, coffee beans, teas, popcorn, chips, etc.). I stopped by on their reopening day to check out the new space. The new space is beautiful! The sitting area upstairs is cozy and warm for about 16-18 customers. There are some mirrors carefully placed in the space to make it look bigger than it actually is. The new interior is gorgeous and makes me want to stay there for a long time! I decided to order a cortado and a cheese biscuit. The barista was really friendly and super efficient as she kept chatting with old regulars and people who were first timers to the cafe. She made sure to get everyone's orders correct despite it being somewhat busy at times. I enjoyed my coffee and pastry there to soak in the great vibes of the new space. Overall, a beautifully renovated space! The coffee and baked goods are delicious and there is no doubt that once everyone realizes that they reopened...it will get busy in no time (especially since they face Trinity Bellwoods Park!).

This second location is located outside on the beautifully picturesque cobblestone road named Temperance Street. The building is historic and the calm interiors make you feel instantly at home. The staff was really nice and told me about their menu and seasonal items. In addition to coffee and matcha based beverages, the store offers food and merch as well. Apparently this location is a laptop free zone, offering an incredibly welcome oasis from the hustle and bustle of financial district. Today I ordered a cortado. Before you even drink it, the fragrant coffee smell hits you. A bit sweet and almost fruity. When drinking it, the flavours amplify and provide an overall sense of calm, a breath of fresh air. It doesn't just feel like a regular old coffee but that you can take your time with it, like having a conversation with an old friend, it is meant to be savoured. I absolutely plan to go back for one of their seasonal matcha beverages and to get away from it all. 5/5

I did like the flavor of the regular hot matcha latte more, plus they made a very cute bunny latte art on it! Inside is small with minimal seatings but has a cool ambience for hanging out.

Inside, its on the rustic side with naturally decaying walls and patina of wear on the tables and chairs. My latte was good. My scone would have been better if it was less cold. Due to amount of butter and cheese in the dough, with it being really quite cold, it felt vey congealed - but it had great flavour. I would order it again, but I'd perhaps see if they could heat it, or I'd take it home and heat it. The staff was friendly. Would I return: Yes - but I think there are other options in the area that I might head to first. Would I recommend: This is a great place for people who live nearby to get their morning fix.

Staff is really friendly and the coffee is great, much much better than Starbucks. They are a true small neighbourhoods coffee shop. I really hope they'll be able to bring more of that soon. Their coffee is great. You have a costumer y of kills and non- worry options to choose from, as well as syrups of your want to flavour your coffee or tea. They always have great new suggestions as well.
