Food, drinks, music- like most people, these were the most important aspects of our NYE wedding reception. I had a wonderful experience with A Posh Production. I was a bridesmaid for my sister's wedding back in 2010 and I remember the dance floor being packed all night. So when it was time to plan my own wedding, I definitely wanted to check out the DJ she hired for the night, which was from A Posh Production. I did shop around for DJs, which I think is important to get a feel for what you're looking for and to see if you and your DJ click. The first company I looked into was great, but what I didn't like was that I didn't actually meet the DJ during the consultation that would be our DJ. That's what stood out about A Posh Production. David made sure there was a DJ available for our wedding date, as well as for our initial meeting. We met with David and Jeff Overstreet. The consultation stuck out to me because they asked questions about what type of music we personally liked, as well as what age group our guests would range from. They also didn't expect us to sign anything that day and wanted us to sleep on it to make a decision. We ended up booking Jeff and we could not have been happier. He was exactly what we were looking for. The client portal on their website let's you fill out any important information regarding your wedding day, even a must play list and a do not play list. I requested a lot of random stuff for our wedding, like traditional polish music and other traditions and Jeff did everything wonderfully. We hired A Posh Production to do the photo booth at our October 2016 wedding and it was so much fun and we got so many hilarious pictures from our guests. We got to see them in action at a friends wedding and were really happy with how professional they were and how fun the booth was. So we contacted them shortly after and were responded to quickly. and booked really fast. The services were total $595 and we got way more than we expected to. The photo booth we had was huge and could accommodate so many people in one shot. They also had so many fun extras that people could wear. Then everyone could get as many extras printed as they wanted. We also got to pick what the printouts would look like with a custom logo at the bottom of the print out. They also save every picture that is taken so you can keep them to send or reprint somewhere else. I only put a 4 down instead of a 5 because people were leaving an extra print for us everytime they were in there so we would have a stack from everything that was shot, but the assistant at the booth didn't know that we wanted to keep all of those so they all got thrown out, but it's not a huge deal because they gave me the same film strips that they printed off at the wedding so I have the digital version of everything so I can print them off again. This booth was such a fun addition to the night and I'm so glad that we used A Posh Production for the night. We got so much for such a low price. I highly recommend them! read more

What more can I add to all the other glowing review of Matt and company, all of which are spot on?! We were referred to A Posh Production by a family friend. Planning our wedding from afar, we didn't have the luxury of spending a lot of time meeting different vendors. When we were home for the holidays, we squeezed in a meeting with Matt, and felt immediately confident that we didn't need to look further. We couldn't have been happier! Our dance floor was CRAZY full the whole time. So many people have commented to us that it was one of *the* *most* *fun* *weddings* they've been to, and Matt was a big part of the fun! He accommodated all of our crazy requests and kept the energy up without missing a beat. In addition, Matt was extremely flexible and helpful with some special requests we had - specifically, when dancing ended at midnight, we switched to karaoke. Matt helped us set up our own karaoke machine with his AV equipment, and it worked like a charm. In addition, when we had to quickly switch to Plan B (indoor ceremony) because of rain, I'm sure Matt had to very quickly pull off a very different setup -- however, it all came together perfectly without me having to do a thing. Worked with Matt in lighting for my recent wedding at art revolution on 7/25. He was one of my favorite vendors because he was so responsive! Anytime I emailed him with any questions or changes, he replied almost immediately and never left me with any questions. We went with Posh Productions for our wedding DJ and string lighting at our reception (at the Botanic Gardens). We could not have been happier with our decision. Posh was the first DJ company we met with for our wedding this past August 2014. The pricing was similar to other companies we talked with in the Chicago area, however, they didn't rush us in our initial meeting and took the time to get to know us as a couple. Oliver was our DJ at the wedding and I honestly can't say enough good things about him! He called me before the wedding to go through all the details one more time and during the reception he not only nailed the music but did a great job at being an MC and keeping to our timeline. We had SO many guests come up to us during and after the wedding to tell us how awesome our DJ was. We also had string lighting from Posh. We worked out all the pricing with Matt and he gave us a deal to have both the lighting and DJ services. They were on top of everything and I never had to worry about reaching out to them. And thanks in a big part to Posh Productions, my now-husband (Justin) and I will always remember a perfect 5/3/14 celebration. We actually happened-upon Posh Productions via a simple Google Search. Not sure where to begin, we made a bunch of cold-calls and were eventually introduced to Matt Windsor's Team at Posh Productions. And little did we know what a fantastic find that would be! They were nothing but helpful, welcoming, and enthusiastic about being part of our day. This was a huge relief...as we didn't know what type of reaction to expect from various companies about celebrating a same-sex marriage. Especially during this critical, evolving political time in Illinois. Our event had some interesting/unique aspects to it, to say the least. Matt was open to every idea, and brought pro-active suggestions throughout the entire process to ensure that the day was a success. The investment was worth every dollar as Matt also assumed the role of main contact between all of our vendors, both leading up-to and during the actual event. This service helped us immensely. Just had them do my wedding and they were great!! They have photo both option which was perfect, so popular with weddings now and theirs is one of the better ones I have seen. The lighting they did at the venue was phenomenal, we could not believe how good it looked once all the lights were set up it was beyond beautiful and really pulled the whole venue together. Our DJ was Oliver Vasilopoulos and he was the best, I knew after talking with him just once on the phone he was our guy. I was really worried about getting a young, arrogant DJ who would think weddings were beneath him and Oliver was the exact opposite he was great. He did a great job of moving things along, getting everyone to stick to the timeline but not be pushy about it. Loved how he took my wife and I's song requests, some of them might have seemed a little out there (Lonely Island, Andrew WK, etc) especially for a wedding but they had a lot of meaning to us and our friends and he worked them in perfectly and everyone loved it. Several of my friends who are not dancers at all got out on the dance floor once the party really started to take off. Great, positive, friendly person to work with, and price was great for the quality they provide. read more

Erin and I are extremely satisfied with the job A Posh Production and our DJ Matt did a great job at our wedding reception this June 6th. Their prices were a little higher than some of the other DJs we had interviewed but in our opinion completely worth it. Like I told Matt, We're hiring a DJ for more than just being an iTunes playlist. We wanted someone who knew how to read the crowd and quickly adjust the songs to get people back on the floor. We came up with our must-plays and play-if-you-cans and gave that to Matt but gave him the freedom to ignore everything if what the crowd wanted was something else. At the reception, it paid off because we saw that some of our songs didn't resonate with the guests and Matt quickly switched to better songs. Another thing we appreciated was that he took his role as an emcee seriously. Prior to introductions, he gathered the bridal party together. Made sure he knew how to pronounce their names. Told everyone exactly how they were going to be introduced. There was no confusion whatsoever. During the reception, he would periodically come over and made sure we were doing all right and that we were ready for the next highlight (first dance, bouquet toss, etc.). We added two upgrades. First, intelligent lighting which made the atmosphere more clubby as the standard lights are static with no movement. Second, we add the "dance on clouds" which is basically dry ice clouds on the floor. Cool effect and the kids would not stop asking for more. lol Overall, we highly recommend A Posh Production for future brides and grooms. read more

Let me start off by saying that Dave was THE BEST vendor we had in terms of communication, he was extremely quick to respond to emails and placated thousands of my questions and runaround decisions. A Posh Production did a great job on our indoor/outdoor lights and rented decor (four wine barrels). I was disappointed that one wine barrel with an expensive arrangement we ordered from the florist was set up out of place where guests couldn't really see it but otherwise the lighting was magical. The ceremony music/sound was perfect and everything went off without a hitch. Dave also did a great job MCing the speeches/special dances, rolling with our delays in timing. However, the reception music was just not good. We provided Dave with a Must Play and Play If Possible list and were disappointed when a lot of songs that my husband wanted to hear (Johnny B Goode, Jailhouse Rock, Twist and Shout) weren't played even though the night started out with older crowd pleasers. Even more disappointing was that it seemed like Dave was trying to go in order of genres so he played slow songs that weren't on our list and ran out of time to play the two country slow songs we were really looking forward to dancing to (In Case You Didn't Know and Tennessee Whiskey). Further, the two most popular songs we requested (Shape of You and Despacito) were played back to back instead of being spaced out and Dave made an unsolicited announcement for late night food right in the middle of one of them. Finally, we requested that the reception consist of popular late 2000s music and there were a few songs we had to ask Dave to skip because we've never heard of them. We ended up sort of taking over and continuously provided suggestions to keep the crowd dancing. Since then, I've been to a couple of weddings and realized how hard it actually is to find a good DJ so I would suggest going with one you've actually heard play at an event. read more

They did an incredible job lighting my reception at the Adler Planetarium. At its baseline, the Planetarium has very simple studio lighting which does not do justice to the fantastic architecture and views. A Posh Production provided pinspotting for the centerpieces, uplighting of the beams in the planetarium, and hanging lanterns. They transformed the venue into a glamorous and warm scene that felt really special. The hanging lanterns were especially cool. I asked them for "warm colors" (I didn't give them a lot to work with). They created a waterfall of lanterns of different sizes in rose, orange, and yellow that perfectly matched my style with the "planetary" theme of the venue. They were also very flexible and easy to work with, even when I asked for some last-minute additions. They were truly one of the vendors that went above and beyond my expectations, and they were an integral part of making my reception so special. read more

Matt Windsor at A Posh Production was awesome to work with, and really eased any concerns I had about the lighting design for our venue. From the beginning he was so kind, responsive, and answered all of my questions via phone and email, and was very kind through it all. At our walk-through at the venue, he had one of his staff come out and talk us through everything which helped us envision exactly what it was going to look like. We rented their chinese lanterns and italian string lights- which were beautiful. These cafe lights were expensive, but actually Posh's prices were the best I found out of all lighting companies. We also had a video slideshow during the reception, and we were able to use their projector and truss to project the video onto the screen seamlessly. They took care of every technical detail of that so that I didn't have to, and that was such a relief. THANK YOU SO MUCH, MATT!! It is amazing what some lighting can do to transform the entire venue, and my wedding was absolutely beautiful because of your artistic supervision! :) Had I known Posh also provided DJ and photo booth services when I booked them for lighting, I would've probably reserved all of those together to make it easier (and probably more economical), but oh well!
