Where to begin! I have rewritten this post several times as I wanted it to really show my appreciation. I was on the fence on whether or not to get a planner when I first started planning. I am extremely detail oriented and very big on planning so why would I need one. Then I started to think about well who was going to help all the vendors stay organize day of? Who is going to help keep things on track? Do I want to pass that pressure to a family member or friend? I would ruin a relationship if I choose to do that because Of the pressure I would pass to someone. All I could think about is wanting to enjoy my day with my groom! This lead me to hiring a planner! Boy did I luck out hiring @savvy_southern_events ! 1. She answered every single phone call and text message I ever made/sent! Communication is so important when considering when hiring someone. 2. She has a list of vendors and relationship with them! This made it easy when changes happened, she made sure everyone was informed. 3. She owns her own craft store! Jk! But you can rent her decor, she has a lot at a very reasonable cost!! Don't buy any decor until you see what she has...she has a lot! 4. She will make sure your event runs without a hiccup. We had a line queueing at the bar and she immediately jump in and started pouring drinks for our guest! She was wherever she was needed and kept the night rolling! I can't recommend her enough! Where do I begin?... Shawna and her team is amazing. Due to military orders my wedding had to be planned in a matter of months. Shawna eased the stress of venders, planning the couple of weeks leading to the wedding and as well handling everything the day of the wedding. Her communication is A1. From texting or emailing back as soon as she's able to, to being a shoulder you can cry on due to overwhelming stresses of family and planning. On the day of the wedding I spent it relaxing with my bridal party, while Shawna and her assistant got to work as soon as they got to the venue. I'm sure there was some issues that they ran into, but I have yet to know about any of them as she took care of them before I could even know about it. She made sure all of the vendors, the timeline, and even the sending off was perfect. She has packages that included access to her wedding decorations which saved me tons of money and headaches of trying to create center pieces (definitely a life saver). She helped me settle in at the end of the night before tearing down the wedding and taking care of gifts. She even checked up on me the day after the wedding. She's definitely the person you want on your side. I don't think I would've survived my wedding planning and wedding day without her. I recommend her and her team over and over times a million. Shawna was an INCREDIBLE help on our big day!!! We couldn't have done it without her!! On our wedding day, Shawna and Lauren arrived early and helped set up everything, they even helped unload all our decor from our truck. We had given them a wedding plan document of how we wanted the decor to look, and they made everything look exactly how we imagined, and better!!! They were both very attentive to the timeline, and made sure everyone was where they needed to be according to our schedule. She also made sure the vendors knew everything they needed to know beforehand so that everything would run smoothly. The only thing I did note that She also utilized some small "walkie-talkie" earpiece radios to communicate with all the vendors on a dime, which our photographer said was super handy! After the wedding, we took inventory of our items and everything was returned safe and sound. Shawna was a great help throughout the whole day! The SSE team is very talented and made sure our day was as stress-free as possible. I am so grateful we hired Savvy Southern Events to help with our wedding!! I was on the fence on hiring a wedding coordinator initially, but honestly, it was one of the best decisions we made because it allowed us to truly enjoy our day. Savvy Southern Events has the absolute BEST wedding coordinators in the business! I got married at Spinelli's in Comfort this summer and Shawna and her assistant Treasure were absolutely FAB-U-LOUS! Everything was run so smoothly and efficiently! Shawna is so organized and direct, of course it was a crazy day and there were a million little decisions that needed to be made or decided, when my family/bridal party asked me questions I was able to just direct them to Shawna. She handled all of the details, which was SO HELPFUL for me, especially as a 'Type B' bride LOL! My family was especially impressed with her ability to delegate tasks and keep the pressure off of me! I ended up hiring a day of coordinator last minute and wow- best decision I ever made. I'm so happy I chose Savvy Southern Event. Shawna made my day so stress free! My getaway car was cancelled last minute and she was quick to find a solution. We ended up getting a party bus for myself and our friends and it was such a blast! Shawna also helped with organizing my snack table, the seating chart honey wall, and pictures for our memorial area. Anything I needed help with, she was more than happy to do it. My favorite part of working with Shawna was the hundred of pictures and videos she sent me that she took behind the scenes at my wedding. I didn't have my phone all wedding so the next day it was so nice to be able to have all of those memories. Shawna and her staff go above and beyond their duties to make your wedding day a dream come true. Super organized and detailed from beginning to end. Shawna is my college friend but I would never look to anyone else for event planning. Although she wasn't able to be in attendance at my wedding she referred me to one of her trusted staff, Melissa. She not only took care of me but did not leave any stone unturned. We had postponed our wedding 2 years since the pandemic so I was ready and really just wanted someone to help me coordinate everything. Melissa was a godsend. It was so refreshing to have someone help me handle all the details and take that stress off our backs. We had to deal with inclement weather on the day of my wedding but we already had plan A, B, C ready to go. My wedding day was stress free and just magical. We got married in early November 2021 just as the Delta variant was waning and vendors were still figuring out their COVID policies (as were we). Shawna handled everything beautifully amd made so many good recommendations that made our wedding go smoothly. The whole time I never knew what was going wrong. I only learned after how hard she and her team worked to save the table and chair situation (they brought 120 chairs but only 4 tables instead of 14 tables), the decor, and coordinating with the caterer, which had some pretty significant delays. The venue didn't really care that things were delayed, which would have only left 30 min for dancing. Shawna fought to extend it 30 more minutes and saved the day. This was the best day of my life. I was hired as a photographer for a wedding that had also hired Savvy Southern Events to organize their perfect day so I got to get the behind scenes take on how Ms. Shawna Jackson made sure that everything and everyone was on time and ensured that the day ran smoothly! She's a master at her craft and was amazing to work with! I've recommended her to every bride-to-be that is in need of direction and planning! She has even organized one of my best friends wedding and organized the majority of events leading up to her wedding as well as the wedding itself! Shawna was Terrific. I found Shawna at the wedding fair in New Braunfels. She was very pleasant and easy to talk to and seemed equally excited I was getting married. I booked her for partial planning and decorations set up. Since I booked her far out from my wedding day she checked in monthly. Through out the year she was available for questions when needed and was even able to help with vendors. The week of my wedding She had everything under control I did not have to worry about anything, she reassured me and checked in on me. The day of my wedding went smoothly as well. When I tell you this lady thought of everythin, I mean everything. I didn't have to worry about anything. Shawna and her crew is the absolute best. She even went along with all of the shenanigans I wanted planned, last minute touches, and lemon b**bs for the male maid of honor. Shawna with Savvy Southern Events was absolutely AMAZING! I booked her for a 60day wedding coordinator and she literally handled everything for me. She booked all my appointments with vendors and stayed in contact with them leading up to my wedding day so I didn't have to worry about anything, except getting married. I used Southern Savvy Events for my backyard wedding of about 40 people. My husband and I got married in Punta Cana on the beach but also wanted to include the family in a celebration. The chairs were perfect for the event and we also ordered a decorated archway for the ceremony along with center pieces for the tables. Shawna, our "Savvy" coordinator, even provided me a bouquet made of left over flowers from the archway, which was so beautiful and thoughtful of her.
