My repaired earrings were assembled backward - the only way to insert them is from the back of the ear.

I have had 2 pieces repaired at Saxons. Both times I had excellent customer service. The first piece was an antique ring that needed new prongs and came out beautifully! Unfortunately I don't remember the first person's name that assisted me years ago with the ring repair. Most recently Kirsten M. helped me. I had a delicate necklace that needed a new latch. Working with Julie is a dream. She helped my fiancé find my perfect engagement ring. I love vintage jewelry and they have a great estate selection. Every time we have been in to look for wedding bands, browse or just to come by she is always willing to clean my ring. The way it sparkles and shines, it's just perfect. I love not having the same traditional halo ring that others have. Not knocking their preference but it wasn't my dream. Shopping there they treat you like family. This is just a little written blurb to talk about how much I appreciate Saxons's jewelry shop in Bel Air Maryland . I don't have much jewelry, but every now and then I want to give a small piece to a relative for Christmas or a birthday . Usually it's something like a Pandora piece or something when they have their unbelievable sales in September or October. Things are marked down to 70% off and there's usually a very good inventory to choose from. All of the associates there are charming, but there is one who I frequently work with named John who is remarkable. He was not there when I went into the store today and a wonderful lady named Kelly helped me. Several days ago, I took a watch in to have a battery replaced to see if the watch would still work . This watch was a watch that my mother had worn about 20 years before she passed away, and she's been gone for about that long now. The watch was a good one, but the brand wasn't a name that anybody is familiar with. It had the most marvelous leather strap that was a muted multicolor and I remember my mom wearing it quite vividly. The strap was in poor condition, and Kelly suggested that I take the watchband to a little shoe repair shop next-door to the jewelry store. She was also able to show me options for the band that they sold at her store , but she could sense that I really wanted to keep the leather band that I already had for sentimental reasons so she made this other helpful suggestion . Thank you Saxons for again doing amazing work and getting my Mother's watch running again after so very many years, and thank you for having the type of sales people who can connect to their customers easily and make the shopping experience a great one. This reminds me of 'Miracle on 34th St.' in way , when Santa sent people to other stores to find the presents for the kids when they did not have the products people were looking for. If for some reason, this shoe store is not able to fix the leather watchband I will definitely be coming back to buy one from Saxons because they really care about their customers in a very personal way. I came to Saxon's looking for an engagement and wedding ring set for my bride to be. Eddie helped me from the get go and did a wonderful job. He helped me to select a great diamond to fit the setting we chose. Eddie was very responsive and on top of everything. When it came time to get the matching nesting wedding ring, we had issues with the manufacturer getting the nesting right. Eddie was supportive and management went above and beyond working with us at no additional charge to ensure the manufacturer got it right. I highly recommend Saxon's Diamond Centers. I've never been to the Aberdeen location but I really like the Bel Air one. My family has been using Saxon's for years. Personally, I've had a ring, watch, and bracelet repaired, along with a necklace and multiple rings cleaned. The repairs are done quickly and properly. The cleanings are immaculate. My fiancé purchased my engagement ring from Keva and we came back for our wedding bands. Keva is WONDERFUL! He's extremely helpful, personable, funny, and has great style! You can find him in the bow ties - plastic or wooden. I plan to use Keva and Saxon's for every jewelry need in the future. Definitely go check them out! The 2nd time to fix the the bracelet on my wife's vintage Role. 1st Saxon tries to tell me this is a knock off, before accepting the watch for service. I have the written certification from another jeweler as authentication of the watch. I handed my wife the watch after returning from Saxon she put it on her wrist and it literally fell off her wrist. THE WORST JEWELER I HAVE EVER USED. People are constantly posting complaints of poor customer service. For a change, I'd like to do the opposite. Rob bought me a beautiful ring for Christmas from Saxon's Jewelers. Unfortunately, the quality of the ring was not what we expected and when we returned it to Saxons, they were wonderful. Not only did they exchange the ring (with a beautiful necklace), but also offered to repaired a ring that Rob had bought for me there in 1998 at no additional cost. The old ring, pictured, looks like new. Saxon's far exceeded the definition of great customer service. Our consultant, Vic, was patient and helpful. Felt like I was in the movie Pretty Woman because the sales woman had a terrible attitude and acted like we couldn't afford anything in the store. She was very off putting and honestly I'd never go back because she came off as very condescending. I've made several purchases from Saxon's over the years and always with a great experience. The staff is always helpful, responsive and polite with 5 STAR service in-house for any needed repairs or adjustments. Always ready to offer a solution and never in too much of hurry to deal with a question. Much more personable than dealing with a national chain in that the staff is very stable and have been there for years. It is almost like the "Cheers" of jewelers in that "everybody knows my name!". I took 5 watches in for battery replacement. I had to leave them as the person who handles that was not in the store. One thing I've really like about Saxons is that watch batteries are replaced for a donation to a local charity of the month. After wearing one of the watches a few times I realized it wasn't keeping time and had actually stopped, so I returned to Saxons to have the battery checked thinking it was likely a faulty battery. I was informed that they can no longer do anything with Invicta brand watches, which this one happened to be. So I confirmed what I thought I was hearing: that they couldn't tell me if the battery they had put in the watch may be a bad one. Confirmed. While I realize there's likely a good reason for their new policy regarding Invicta, it's disturbing that they are neither concerned about the possibility that they installed a faulty battery nor willing to find out and correct it. They have not fulfilled their responsibility, especially since they've accepted and handled funds donated for the service. I am rather disappointed. I really liked Saxons and have had no hesitation about referring others there. 'All good things must ...' I suppose. read more

I'm done with them! A couple of months ago we take them a wedding band and engagement ring set to them for re-sizing and some touch up work. 10 weeks later, we pick them up only to discover when we got them home that the band no longer matches up to the wedding ring! There's $500 wasted! Then I took a simple watch to them, swap bands from one watch to the other that has a cracked crystal. They put the band on backwards and now the watch has stopped as well while the broken one is ticking away! Totally incompetent. I'll find somewhere else for service work on jewelry now. The customer service leaves a lot to be desired. I said, several times "I am just looking my friend told me there was a sale" 1. I don't like the pandora set up. I can't just look at the charms I have to speak to someone whom follows you like your going to steal something. Then when you talk to her she appeared bothered. In my gut the whole experience felt wrong. I could go on and on. We have been purchasing jewelry as well as having repairs done at Saxon's in Bel Air for eight years now. We ALWAYS have positive experiences with them. We are very particular and usually buy Saxon's better quality jewelry, which we feel is fairly priced. We also buy more affordable jewelry as gifts and consistently receive praise from the recipients on the style and quality of the gift. Nichole is our "go-to" person but when she is not available, the other staff members take very nice care of us. Nichole has learned our taste in jewelry and is able to steer us in the right direction in very short order on new items to purchase ....there is no time wasted looking at items that would not interest us. I had my wife's engagement / wedding set made here. After all this time, she still constantly receives really nice compliments on how clear and sparkly the stones are.
