I've been going to this salon since I first started tanning almost ten years ago. It has recently…read morebeen renovated and has improved drastically since. It has always been convenient for me since I live walking distance, but I always used to prefer Beach Bum, Boca, etc. Since the renovation (1-2 years?), the beds have been updated, the rooms, etc. so now it is able to compete with the bigger chains. (Before this it had been a bit dated for a while--example: boom boxes in the rooms.) Because it's a small place and in a shopping center, I'm not sure if a lot of people know it's there. Perfect Color is a small chain, and I've been to the Farmingdale location once or twice. The counter girls are always friendly and I've never walked into a dirty room/bed. The salon itself is clean and the prices are about average with specials/coupons available every so often. I'm really impressed with how much this place has improved over the past few years and lately haven't bothered going elsewhere since it's so close...why drive an extra 15 minutes to Beach Bum if the prices/beds are pretty much the same and there's usually a wait for the better beds? At this place I have never, ever, waited for a bed. It's always quiet, clean, and I get a great color for a decent price. (10 sessions in a level 4 bed: $150--level 5 is the highest.)

I told her "please remove my number" as I am not the person she stated nor have I ever been to a tanning salon no less, in Islip. She told me to "drop the attitude" and then basically hung up on me. WTF Then I called back and she started apologizing for being a "bitch" to me. Ok, good start, I asked to speak to her manager or boss and she said they weren't around. I asked what time they'd be in and what time it was there as I am on the west coast. She told me it was 12pm. (Mind you it's 11:30 here at the time of the call) to which I replied "oh you're on the west coast too?" She replied yes and told me her manager would be in in 2 hours. I happened to google the phone number and was looking at the page that clearly reads WEST ISLIP, so I called Sabrina, if that's even her real name, out on her lie. She told me she wasn't allowed to give out that information over the phone (wtf you're a salon so if I call and ask where you're located am I just SOL?!) not to mention all the information that's so private is on google. Sabrina then in a very rude and childish way, tried to make me accept her lame and lie-ridden apology, which, no. Sabrina herself told me to write this review so here I am. Sabrina I am calling out your wildly unprofessional attitude and behavior, from someone in a similar field of work, a bit of advice. You should never EVER talk to a potential client the way you have spoken to me. You have marred the image of your salon and cost it (yet another) bad review. At this time I am currently awaiting contact from Sabrina's manager or boss UPDATE: I had to call back. Spoke to the manager who had a piss poor attitude too. This salon is beyond a joke. You go to a salon to feel nice not be harassed by a bunch of over tanned long island witches. Disgusting.
