Then I was told my gift card only covered part of the bill (mind you, I booked it so it would be fully covered) and they couldn't charge my credit card less than $20! WTF! Ok so now you're getting $20 extra than what I budgeted for. Finally, they agreed to charge me only the $15 and acted like they were doing me some huge favor. Manicure is already chipping a few days later but pedicure still looks nice. I will NEVER return. During my search, I was intentional about finding either a Black-owned establishment or, at minimum, a Black wax specialist. Unfortunately, my search in Suffolk County was coming up short. I turned to Facebook's Black Long Island group, but many of the businesses I found seemed to no longer be active due to the lack of recent posts. Then Prestige Beauty Lounge appeared again. This time, I decided to take a closer look, and I'm so glad I did. The business checked several important boxes for me: it was conveniently located, Black-owned, offered services from a Black wax specialist, and had a wide range of availability. Their pricing was also comparable--and even slightly better--than what I typically pay. When I called, I was shocked by how quickly they could accommodate me for both an underarm wax and a Brazilian. "25?! I'm sorry, did I hear you correctly? How is that possible?" was my actual response to the person who answered the phone. I later learned that the specialist had previously worked at European Wax Center, where she received training that helped her provide efficient and thorough services. At this point, Prestige Beauty Lounge was already earning major points in my book--but the experience only got better. On the day of my appointment, I was greeted by Arriannah, who shared that she was part of a mother-daughter team. During my service, we talked about my waxing history, her own experiences in the industry, and the values we both shared. She also took the time to educate me about proper aftercare. Before I knew it, my service was complete. Days later, I'm still extremely satisfied with my results. I appreciate the professionalism, efficiency, and personal connection I experienced. I'm looking forward to returning and becoming a long-term customer.

Horrifying and terrible experience from start to finish seeing Dr. Dobryansky for a broken nose…read moreissue. DO NOT GO HERE FOR NOSE SURGICAL ISSUES. It started with a miscommunication between the doctor and the office on surgery scheduling and the nurse was extremely rude to me when I already confirmed with the doctor. Second and more importantly, Dr. Dobranksy did not communicate or educate well AT ALL and had poor bedside manners when asked questions. I had a broken nose and showed a picture and was told (since going through INS and not cosmetic) that "the hardest thing to do is straighten a broken nose" but then said "I could do it though". I should have done more research myself, but naively thought I would be guided and educated by the doctor. He made my cry right before my surgery after showing a picture again, was so rude during my post op follow up/his nurse was EXTREMELY rude and my nose looked EXACTLY the same (nothing like the picture I showed where his words were exactly "I can get you to that"). He simply should have said, I can't do what you are asking for ... I felt scammed with his miscommunication, dishonesty and lack of education to the patient. I had surgery for no reason. His staff was extremely rude throughout a hard process (as it is dealing with your face) AND to top it off - they never called my medication in before surgery, he said there was no stitches on the outside of my face and after leaving I realized THERE WAS anddddd they didn't follow up ONCE post surgery...insane and terrible experience all around.
