I have a 2001 Nissan Maxima. It's in pretty good condition for having 320,000 miles on it. But I had a problem with the crankshaft. My car would not start without this part! The dealer wanted nearly two thousand dollars for the part. I went to Bobby with my situation and he looked high and low until he found what I needed and charged only a fourth of what the dealer was charging. Avoid this place!!! I got hustle for $400 just to get a battery replace. I was so dumb put in a lose lose situation. I don't know a thing about manual trucks. A gentleman gave me a jump, started but didn't stay on at all. Left battery connected to jumper cables to charge, and nothing. So the we figured it was alternator. So i recently bought a manual 4Runner, my car stalled while I was having lunch literally 2 blocks away, on corner of Main and 6th to be exact, at the sushi bar. I live in Los Ángeles, I was stuck, so I walked there being I was the closest shop. I explained what happen, owner said $100 for tow, and $300 for replacing alternator and we'll get it done quick since I don't live in area. So I paid $400 upfront, no receipt for parts of labor, I know stupid me. Brought the truck over, 30min Later they're done. He told me alternator is decent, it was battery that died. Cool, I'm thinking I'm getting money back. So I asked, "how much am I getting back since it was just a battery replacement ($100 tow $120max for battery right) let's say $250.. Nope, cost same, also because he did a "computer reset " I feel like such a dumbass for trusting these guys, great way to do business. Will be reporting to Better Business Bureau. AVOID THIS PLACE!!! Bobby was supposed to fix my car which he has in storage for over a year!!! When I finally decided to move the car to another shop and they fixed my car in 3 months. I found out my Speakers from the car had been STOLEN... Bobby didn't charge me for having my car in his place but DID TOOK MY SPEAKERS AWAY!! Be careful w him and his team. I went there last week as my check engine light was on and I received a notice for a smog check. I went to SC Auto as I heard about their no-low charge for consultations. The report said that I needed to get my catalytic converter replaced. Although Bobby gave me a price, I decided to check on some prices on the net. It is a good thing I consulted Bobby about the online prices as I found out that California has a specific law/rule/certifications(?) and only California certified catalytic converters can be used. Long story short, I decided to order an OEM piece from the Buick dealer through Bobby, as I did not want to be stuck with a non-qualified product and possibly loose out on shipping charges. The following day, I went in and Bobby had the part ready and his team was able to get me out in a few hours. After having a parking bumper pull out the left side of my bumper I went to 4 other body shops to see if they can have it reattached. All 4 told me I would need a new bumper which would also needed to be painted! Since there was no external cosmetic damage to my bumper I thought that was extreme and costly! Finally, I found Bobby of SC Auto Collision. He was able to reattach the left side of my bumper applying additional screws and fix it based on the type of damage. I just recently was looking for a body shop to repair our 2018 Toyota Highlander since my daughter had gone to Stater Bro's. and some kids were playing with a shopping cart and ran it into the back of our car. My daughter was so heartbroken so I found SC Auto Collision&Repair I spoke to Bobby and he looked at it and said we neede to replace the bumper and match paint to the rest of the car and he also said he could replace a fog light the car needed. Of course I was thinking this is going to be like $3K-$4K but he let me know it would only be a lot less and I told him how long to get the car done I took on Wednesday and he said by Saturday it would be ready. Of course I was a little skeptical if they can match the paint 100%. But Saturday came and I called to see if it was ready and he said they were putting the bumper back on and it would be ready by 10am so I there at 12pm and he Bobby told me go take a look at the car and I did. I was blown away all the work he promised got done to a T fog light and back bumper and paint. BEWARE OF BOBBY!!!! Bobby is not honest and wasted my time. I do not recommend his services at all. The first red flag began when I brought him my car and he said one of his mechanics was sent to jail. He had my car for a total of 6 months and all he did to my car was let it collect dust. I brought my car in October, He stated that it wont be done till early December. I contact him in the middle of December, he then says "It'll be done in January and that he just finished clearing out the clutter mass." I contact him again in January and he tells me, "he hasn't started on my car and that the repair will now cost extra. He also states that they are moving shops and he doesn't want to start my car until he moves." I let him know that I'm going to take my car somewhere else and all of a sudden he says to me "he can do it in two weeks." I tell him no and I go to pick up my car the next day. When I arrive Bobby is not even there to talk to me personally, and one of his workers gives me my keys. I ask him where they will be moving to and he says" Oh I didn't know we were moving." Now Bobby has lied to me about working on my car, when the car will be finished, the price, and that they are moving shops. (which to this day they have not moved) Like I said before I do not recommend SC Auto Collision. Bobby is dishonest, flakey, terrible communicator, and someone I do not want to give my business to ever again. I ended up taking my car to Norco Lube and Tube in and they fixed my car within a week. Absolutely horrible! The owners are awful! I overheard them mocking a customer asking about a possible lay away program; they responded very condescendingly stating, "Who do you think we are, 1-800- Rent A Wheels, Man? Hell No we don't do that! Find another place!" There are tons of body shops on 6th street and this place does not deserve your money! Go somewhere else! My honest review unfortunately is not favorable for this place. A good relationship between any business and customer starts with TRUST. I knew how much the tow truck driver billed for my tow to bring my car to this repair shop after an accident. I received a copy of the tow receipt the next morning and noticed a $100 misc charge was added to the bill. This set the tone for what type of place this is and I developed an uneasy feeling in my gut. I can't review on the quality of the work done at this facility because I had my car towed to another collision center. My car was originally towed to SC Auto Collision and Repair around 6pm (near closing time) on a Friday evening, The next morning David the owner refused to release my car to a secondary tow company I had arranged who had arrived to pick up my car knowing full well the repair shop was going to close at noon and also would be closed on Sunday. My car ended up being held hostage, just sitting there, until Monday at a total cost of $730. (the original inflated tow amt of $470 plus $65/day storage). I am extremely happy with my insurance company who paid the charges MINUS the inflated $100 and immediately arranged to get my car towed somewhere else on Monday. I would avoid this place or at least hope that everything you have repaired is done satisfactorily the first time because they (David) aren't very customer friendly. I guarantee you I wasn't the problem because I have a great working relationship with my current auto collision facility. SC Auto Collision and Repair (David) you need to show more respect to potential customers. Gave 1 star because I couldn't give zero! read more

I took my 1970 Mercury Cougar Convertible to them in September to have some engine work performed and Luis the GM and his son Albert did a great job. It started a friendship that still continues. I talked to Luis about a paint job and we came to an agreement on a price. Luis said it would take approximately 5 weeks. It took a bit longer but the paint job turned out great. I have been a loyal customer to Sc auto for over 5 years and Today, was my last day! Upon finishing my oil change i had a simple question on my insurance deductible. The owner, David, completely flipped out on me and cursed me out and said he didnt have time for my "f*(ing questions ". He yelled at me saying "i can wipe my ass with a 100 bucks and it didnt mean sh*!"! ( he was talking about my deductible. ..which i WAS NOT arguing about in any way!)I was so upset and confused with his aggression i called him back to ask what that was about and he yelled at me again stating he was busy and that i was the one giving him attitude! (I was just asking a question) it saddens me that his bad day made an impact on his customers because I am never going back. I've never been cursed out by a Owner for asking questions and i am just flabbergasted at the hostility and aggression of David. His only reason for yelling was that "he was busy, had 4 other phone calls". Let me help you out with that "burdensome" work load of yours by telling all to never come here again. Stay away!!!! The owners of this Auto Repair are dishonest and not trustworthy!!!!. You will get robed. I went to the shop in person on Monday November 2, 2015 and asked if they could provide me with a quote on a front right axle issue, and I specifically asks if there was any charge for the quote. I was clearly told by the manager in the office that there was not charge for them to look at it and to bring the vehicle next week. I call the following week and brought the vehicle in. They looked at the axle and told me what needed to be fixed, and after wards I was told there was a $70 charge for the quote. I explained my conversation with the manager the previous week and made sure there would be not charges, but the owner played stupid and said he did not care. He refuse to give me back my vehicle and I had to call the police. I ended paying $40 for them to release the vehicle and was told to take them to small claims court. During the time the police came. another customer started discussing with the officer about his issues with the auto repair placed and how they had been called the day before due to an issue with that facility. Stay away from this place they are dishonest and overcharge for the work. read more
