I had an extremely disappointing experience with Kaminer Heating & Cooling. In May 2021, I bought…read moretwo HVAC units from Kaminer. I started having issues with one of them in January of this year and had to have multiple technicians come out and look at it over the course of a few months. I was told it was fixed each time... and then it would stop working again. After the third time it quit working, I once again called Kaminer and a tech came out and told me the compressor was bad because of dirty coils and it would cost almost $4000 to replace it. This was after at least three different techs had looked at it a couple months prior and there was no mention of dirty coils from any of them, despite the fact they knew it kept breaking. I called another HVAC company and they came out and replaced the compressor for less than half of what Kaminer was going to charge me. Kaminer wanted me to pay $200 for each pound of freon that they get wholesale for less than $10! That would have been $1800 for something they paid less than $100 for. While I understand the need for profit, this 2000% markup feels nothing short of criminal, especially during the hottest part of the summer when I was desperate for a working AC. Throughout this ordeal, Kaminer demonstrated a complete lack of proactivity and competence. Their approach seemed to be applying quick fixes rather than addressing root causes, leading to repeated issues and service charges. Their diagnosis and pricing inconsistencies have completely eroded my trust in their services. If you're looking for a fair, capable, and customer-focused HVAC company, I strongly advise looking elsewhere. My experience with Kaminer has been frustrating and time-consuming. They tried to take advantage of my situation during a heat wave and intended to charge me an exorbitant amount to fix a faulty unit that wasn't even three years old. Do yourself a favor and avoid Kaminer HVAC at all costs.

I finally called Cunningham and was told that could not be as they had sold 1000 of these and had no problems. The person I spoke to was extremely rude. I asked if he was calling me a liar, and he quickly said no. He told me he would contact the installer and get back to me. One week later, I called again, and he was rude and said he was going to call me, so why was I calling? He talked to the installer and was told that there was not a new tank on his truck. He would get back to me. He did not. I called again that same week and got the same rude person. I was told that they could be there the day I called. As they had not called, I had plans for that day and could not have them. He then said it would be late the next week. The following Thursday, I called, and he said that he was going to call me, and the installer would be there on Friday. No notice whatsoever. I said that his customer service was not very good. He said, and I quote, "We are too busy". So the installer comes and asks me if I am having problems with the toilet. I said yes and explained. He said it can't be, as they had installed 1000. As they were loading up their equipment, we noticed a totally separate and possibly minor issue - a vent that we didn't need and might have been contributing to our heat problem.
