My wife and I stopped in for a late lunch and were surprised to find the restaurant completely empty except for one server and no bartender. We started with the zucchini strips, which were unfortunately very greasy. The side salad was average at best -- just lettuce, a few carrot slivers, and two small tomatoes with nothing else included. My wife ordered the lasagna, and I had the spaghetti with meat sauce plus two meatballs as an add-on. Considering we were the only customers there, the food took a surprisingly long time to come out. When it finally arrived, everything was just average and nothing really stood out. One disappointing detail was that no bread was served with the meal. We had to ask for it, and when it finally arrived, the two rolls seemed reheated in a microwave -- rubbery and not very appetizing. This place is a must stop. The lamb gyro was perfection. Melt in your mouth !! They start you off with warm soft rolls and seasoned dipping oil. The dinners are served with choice of soup or salad. We were in town for the nutcracker village and had to find a spot to eat. Scaffidi's came in to save the day! I looked ahead and saw that they had a handful of gluten free options which was very helpful in finding a place. The food was delicious. The sauces were excellent pairings for the pasta. The Hoagies were both mouth watering. There a bit of a kick. Also a bit of a kick with the Tuscan Pasta, it's the peppers and seasoning. I'm a tad surprised I wasn't a bit more adventurous with my GF options, alas, I needed some food. Josie was our waitress. Absolute sweetheart. I believe there wasn't a lot of other staff working. Chose this restaurant for dinner on a Friday night mainly because we were in the mood for Italian and they had later hours than some of the other places in the area. We could tell they were either busy or short staffed as soon as we walked in because there was a wait, but we didn't see too many patrons around. We chose to sit at the bar and the bartender appeared to take our drink order after waiting about 10 mins. She was running around serving tables in the restaurant in addition to taking care of the bar. We ordered food and it was out within 15 mins. We both had chicken dishes and agreed that the chicken kind of seemed like frozen patties. My chicken parm wasn't bad, but the spaghetti was a little boring as far as flavor and the noodles were a little squishy. My bf said the carrots in his wedding soup were hard. The side salad was fine, nothing exciting. I did really enjoy the rolls and oil that were brought out before the meal. The seasoning in the oil was salty and cheesy and the rolls were warm and fresh tasting. The restaurant itself is a little dim with some fun decor - note the rat pack statues on the stage to the side. They said they just recently started doing murder mystery shows for $40/pp including dinner. Might be worth checking out, as there aren't things like this readily available in the area. read more

The two flavors were bland and pretty much tasted the same, not to mention the lack of alcohol in the daiquiri was disappointing as well. At least they cooled us down! The food: For our appetizer we ordered the breaded zucchini. It was perfectly fried to a golden brown crisp, and the marinara dipping sauce was delicious! For our entrees, we decided to order two and split them so we could try more items on the menu. We ordered the roast beef sandwich with french fries and the stuffed peppers and "gnoch" plate. The roast beef sandwich was hands down the most delicious part! The stuffed peppers were very good as well, but I wish I would've ordered the red sauce on the gnocchi rather than the pink sauce. The pink sauce lacked a little bit of flavor in my opinion. Overall, I would give this place a 3.5. I would definitely go back, but make a few changes upon my return! P.S. I ordered Scaffidi's from DoorDash and got the chicken parm. I asked for alfredo sauce on the spaghetti. I regret that decision. The chicken parm was good, could have had a little more in the flavor department. The alfredo sauce was bland. Apparently its made with ricotta, which I've never been a big fan of because of the texture. The sauce was kind of dry, and grainy. I make my own alfredo sauce and it should, in my personal and professional opinion, be creamy and have garlic and parmesan flavor. Ricotta is not a good choice for alfredo sauce. Ricotta doesn't have good flavor and makes for a totally lackluster taste. On the plus side, I did enjoy the lobster bisque and of course the cannoli...who doesn't love a good cannoli? read more

This place is absolutely trash, it is an insult to the other fine Italian restaurants that Steubenville is known for. All the food is obviously microwaved and something as simple as bread was also microwaved. Breaking down our meal the appetizer was calamari that was 11 dollars and consisted of 10 rings that was soggy and served on more lettuce than our salad had. The main courses were all microwaved that included an 18 dollar lobster ravioli that came with gritty sauce and 7 raviolis. This place is slowly descending into a place that will primarily be supported by its bar and not by its food. Decide to have a birthday dinner party of 7 people here. The waitress took it upon herself to not write down our orders. She was incorrect on two orders when they arrived, and one meal was totally forgotten about. The waitress claimed another staff person took the order, but the manager admitted she forgot to put the order in. Another meal came out barely room temperature. The manager offered a free dessert that nobody wanted but would not offer a discount. This restaurant was once very good. It has definitely declined. I just spent close to $30 for two cheese steak sandwiches. That was the toughest chunked-cut meat (not thin shaved meat) I have ever tried to chew. It was under the broiler too long. Went for a large group service. The setting was nice enough. They served buffet service which was a joke. By the time the 3rd table came they were out of food and scraping the empty serving trays. There weren't meat options or rolls left. Servers promised to bring more to the table for those who could only get noodles but never did. The food was available was average. If they knew how many were in the party, they should have prepared enough for the entire group. The best part of the meal was the dessert, which was good and they managed to have enough for everyone. Honestly, this place is a hit or miss for me. One meal could be absolutely great and the next could be so overcooked that it's inedible. Their Lobster bisque is pretty good (especially at lunch with half a panini). The Seafood Ravs are always a go to for me since they seem to make them perfectly every time. The Chicken Limone is also a great choice do those who are fans of cream sauce and lemons. Their meat and marinara sauces are pretty meh.
