We try to visit local snow cone places any time we are in the DFW area. This is a great option. We've been here twice during our visit. Their flavors are good (there are 64) and they take credit cards. My only qualm is that they have a menu with smoothies on it but because of some odd city ordinance, they can't sell smoothies at that location. Personally, I think they shouldn't have them on the menu. The three guys working over the various visits were very helpful...even the cute little teen who was only on his second day. God bless high school laborers. Learning good work ethics early. When you're tired of overpriced, sub-par Bahama Bucks, give Scallywags a try!

Used to love coming here. Came back for the first time in years and I'm appalled. The most BLAN snow cone I've ever had and I got tigers blood which is normally extremely flavorful. The worst part is after an inch down there was absolutely NO syrup on my cone. A waste of money and I won't be back.

Sugar and ice and many interesting flavors. I really appreciate their ship. I love the addition to our neighborhood.

Scallywags calls their product shave ice, but it is not. You can see the snowie machine they use. It's good, but it doesn't have that light, amazing texture of true shave ice from a block.

Not happy with this lack of syrup

Fast and friendly service. The ice does not hold the flavor and goes right through the ice.

Service is so slow but I guess that's part of the experience. Still a spot to check out if you have time to kill.

We found their truck in 2023 in McKinney and went to sample the menu one Saturday. OMG, the tacos and that delicious, homemade green sauce are the best! Since that time they have provided food for three events, large and small. Each time Jessica has been extremely responsive, accommodating and went above and beyond to provide the best menu for our gatherings. The first was food truck catering for a wedding, the second was a small family meal (that we picked up at the truck one Sat.) to help that same couple celebrate an anniversary and the third event was catering a birthday/retirement party for us. She personally saw to it that we had everything we asked for and more!! I would give ten stars if I could and we will continue to visit their truck as much as possible. Book early though, as they tend to fill up their calendar due to the excellent food and outstanding customer service! Everyone always loves their food, especially our family from CA!

Most Yelpers will post on here where he's at for the day or just give him a call. First, you're greeting by the smoke which is my first rule when it comes to bbq. If I can't smell it, I ain't eating it. Second, are all the nice people waiting in line. Folks were like kids at Christmas; they couldn't wait to dig in. Then there's the Pitmaster and you can tell right away about his passion. Not just for his craft but the people he's serving. Don takes his time with each person and you're having a genuine conversation. It's just so much more than just a transaction. I ended getting, what I'm going to call the, Pitmaster's Plate. I had $50 and told Don that give me whatever I could get for it. I got some of everything: sausage, lean brisket, spareribs, and my two favorites fatty brisket and the chicken (he only serves dark meat). The meat was not overly seasoned with just a hit of spice. I'm guessing salt, pepper, granulated garlic, granulated onion, cayenne and maybe a little mustard powder. It had a strong smokey flavor so I'm guessing either mesquite or oak. I didn't get any sauce so I was bummed about that and some of the lean brisket was a little dry but it's definitely worth all the money. I got so much food and it was a pleasure just being there. I ended up making some pimento grilled just with the brisket and it was . There are no sides, no bread, just pit style bbq. If you can, definitely make your way there.
