She finished the drink and slid it over with no lid. She said they don't use lids because people might want to add things to their drink, but there was nothing available for customers to add The positives were my drink was good, and the shop is clean with nice merch, but don't expect friendly, helpful service or to feel like your dollar is wanted.

In addition to regular coffee drinks, they also offer middle eastern beverages like Adeni and Turkish coffee. If you want a pastry to go with your drink, you can try their croissants, Danish pastries, or honeycomb bread. The staff are very courteous and friendly. The place is clean and comfy. There's a nice seating area - you can usually find a spot to sit unless it's peak times on the weekend. They have a selection of pastries from local spots and some toast/sandwich offerings. I use their overtone beans at home (they also offer a cup of coffee with each purchase of a bag of beans), but when I'm in the shop I love getting a cortado, cold brew with cold foam, or lattes. They offer fun seasonal drinks - some of my recent favorites were blackberry rhubarb latte, pumpkin cream cold brew, & cherry mocha! You can also follow their instagram for occasional super-limited drinks like a "cup of dirt" dessert inspired cold brew they did for Halloween weekend. The new owner is courteous, but the inviting energy is gone. The food is still good, but I deeply miss the quiche--crafted with love and skill by the previous pastry chef. It was a standout and irreplaceable. Bread is made more often now, which is nice in theory, but consistency has slipped. My last loaf was disappointingly hard around the edges. This isn't a harsh critique--it's hopeful. I'd love to see some of the old heart and hospitality return. It made all the difference.
