I rarely write reviews, but I feel compelled to share my experience after spending over $25,000 at Scandinavian Design Furniture. One of the wall art pieces I purchased--"Safe Harbor"--was damaged during transfer by their own staff. At the time of pickup, I was informed that they had run out of wrapping materials (due to the store closing down) but assured me everything would be handled carefully. Despite this, the artwork was loaded into my car along with several other pieces--without any protective covering. When I arrived home, I discovered a noticeable chip on the corner of the piece. I immediately contacted customer service and provided photo evidence showing the artwork was in perfect condition prior to pickup. To my disappointment, they refused to offer a replacement or repair, citing store policies. I was shocked by the lack of accountability--especially after being a loyal customer and spending a substantial amount on high-end furniture. Customer service was unhelpful, dismissive, and hid behind a deceitful return and replacement policy. For a company that positions itself as a premium brand, their after-sales support is seriously lacking. If you're considering shopping here, be cautious. Their policies seem designed to protect the company, not the customer. I expected much better from a store that prides itself on quality and design. We just purchased new furniture from Scandinavian Designs on Tatum Boulevard in Paradise Valley. Our experience was so good we decided to write about it. We worked with Katie at the new store on Tatum Boulevard. Katie is a great listener, and she patiently answered our questions about where the furniture was sourced and when we could expect delivery - which was so helpful because we had just purchased, and then sent back, furniture from another store that arrived with torn fabric, the wrong legs for a sofa, and a coffee table that we never ordered! We were so impressed with the quality of the products we saw in the Scandinavian Design Furniture showroom that we purchased a complete living room set, and complete office, and a full dining room set from Katie. A company called Figueroa Moving and Storage delivered our furniture just 7 days later. The delivery persons (Orlando and Adrian) quickly and efficiently brought everything into our new home. They made it seem effortless; we watched the entire process, and they didn't so much as bump a wall; everything was in perfect shape, and we were ready to go with our new furniture in place in only forty minutes! We work hard, and one of the things that impressed us most about the whole process - besides the excellent quality of every piece of furniture we bought - was how hard everyone worked, from sales to management to delivery - to make our experience a great one. read more

Purchasing furniture is always stressful since this is a long-term investment and everyone wants to buy just the right and best furniture for home. With these thoughts my husband and I entered the Scandinavian Design store on Tatum Blvd in Phoenix AZ to look for furniture for our bedroom. We just have retired and moved from Idaho and wanted to arrange a beautiful home. Bianca Kojic greeted us and asked us what the reason was for our visit. We explained and she gave us a short tour throughout the store. She was very professional and offered very nice customer care to us. She let us discuss among ourselves and comfortably look at what we like, but was always ready to explain to us or give us advice if we show that we need her. Bianca made our visits very pleasurable and we started going to the store without an urgent need to buy something but ended up furnishing from this store besides our bedroom also our living room, the formal dining room and my office. Bianca was instrumental in organizing the furniture delivery and all went seamlessly and according to her instructions. When we found some small defects in the purchased furniture Bianca helped in finding the best solution to the issue. She is a highly qualified professional who gives a very special attention to the customers which makes the Scandinavian designs store a very beloved place for purchasing furniture. Horrible experience with the staff there! I bought some furniture recently. Before they wrapped up my furniture order my wife and I decided to buy another piece of wall art (effectively a large painting). I was told that the painting is not in stock but that I should pay for the painting as a separate transaction and that it would be delivered separately when it becomes available. The painting is now available but they are now saying that I need to pay for the delivery as this was a separate transaction!!! I spoke with someone who is a manager and he is effectively telling me that until he talks to a person who was my sales rep ( who is on a leave btw) and confirms my story (effectively confirming that I am not a liar) he can't do anything for me. This is after he had confirmed for me that he sees two transactions on the same day (one for furniture and one for the painting). This is so frustrating and a horrible way to do business. I will say that the furniture is great but the experience has been spoiled by the above and I would never return as a customer!!! read more

My overall experience with this company was exceptional from the floor sales staff to the delivery drivers (Eduardo & David). The manager was very friendly and present on the floor interacting with customers and showing special features of furniture pieces which is what sold my mom on her new couch. Additionally, the sales ladies were very patient with the process and helpful to make sure the couch's purchase and delivery went smoothly. Delivery drivers Eduardo & David were fabulous. The text came right before their arrival so I could continue my daily routine. The delivery men were very polite, communicative, and did their best to most efficiently move in my couch. My experience shopping at the newly opened Scandinavian Design Furniture, Tatum and Cactus location was wonderful! I cannot be happier with my new couch set, great quality and great price. Customer service was excellent! Staff is very friendly and helpful. I picked a set of couches that were not displayed in the store. Marco went above and beyond to bring the couches into the store so I can see them before purchasing. Excellent customer service and beautiful furniture! Marco takes excellent care of his customers! Our two delivery men, Lorenzo and Eduardo, did an amazing job of addressing our concerns today, going on beyond our expectations. We had an unusual situation on top of a miscommunication between the sales team and delivery team. We are second time customers of Scandinavian Designs and due to this excellent customer service experience, we plan to be back for the rest of the bedroom set and furniture for our living room. I am very satisfied with my experience. I went into this store last week and was graciously assisted by Cynthia when I was finding some items to place in my nursery for my upcoming newborn! She was very helpful and had a keen sense for design and definitely steered me in the right direction! One bookcase and a couple of lovely paintings later, I am wanting to buy more. Well the pandemic slowed things down but I got my two Hasel Recliners. I'd like to commend the employees who overcame the bumps and got those chairs to me: Kory G and Jennifer for making the sale and keeping me apprised of the order's status. David and Edwardo who with the warehouse kept at it so the correct chairs showed up at my house. These two guys had to make three trips to my house in one day to make it happen. read more

I had two deliver due to a warehouse mishap, but the deliveries were on point both time. They got here early both times, were extremely professional, and got in and out. Eduardo and his partner were very helpful throughout. Demarcus and Michael came the second time and we're just as efficient and respectful. I love this store! The store fits right in being in between Ikea and high end designer stores. Great prices and sales. Lots of mid century modern furiture styles. We had a problem with the delivery of a chair. The manager took it upon himself to deliver it after hours to us. It was especially important because I was having back surgery and it was the only chair I could Sit in comfortably. Will definitely buy from them again. read more
