After my father passed, I reached out to Edwards because they were recommended by hospice as the…read morebest value for cremation. For value, I would give them 5 stars as they are no hassle and the lowest price. From a service and follow up standpoint they are a mess. I had conversations with 3 different people and let them know I was the contact as my step-mother wanted me to handle things. They continued to reach out to her despite that. Additionally, there was no proactive communication on their part at all. If I wanted an update on timing (or anything) I had to reach out and for the most part you can forget about talking to a real person, except for the answering service. So for service and follow up I would give them 1-2 stars. I suspect they focus all their efforts on families that are paying for a full service rather than a simple cremation. For context, I went through this entire process without getting the direct phone number for my "funeral director", and not even an email address. I was able to figure the email out simply because it was part of the docusign process. I was never even told which of their locations he was taken to, until the very end when the ashes were ready to be picked up (after 2+ weeks). If you're going for value, that's ok, just know going in that you will have a long wait time, with low or no communication or follow up so you are not surprised. They won't change because if you look at these reviews, this is a very consistent complaint going back years and years.

ZERO STARS It's been a couple years now since my father…read morepassed away. I couldn't bring myself to write this review until now. I'm in a better head space. This is a WARNING to all please use a different funeral home. This place made things difficult during a time you need support and things to run somewhat smoothly. The lady handling this was so all over the place. Here we go. They were dealing with me about all the arrangements but then when it came to signing I was not his blood daughter they had my aunt signing the documents which was fine. The day of the funeral I was pulled into the back room and was told they made a mistake and had me listed on the death certificate as daughter next of kin. Promised me they would make it right. Received the certificate and what do you know it was not fixed. Getting a hold of them was absolutely ridiculous. I suppose since the funeral and ashes had been picked up they didn't want to deal with us anymore. After a while I just didn't have the energy to nag them to do their damn jobs. To this day it is still not fixed and I have accepted it for what it is. I just wanted to get on here and warn people to go thru a different funeral home. It is not worth the hassle during a very heart ache period in your life dealing with a company who really doesn't care about what you're going thru. My thoughts are with you if you do need services like this. Really wish there was another option for stars because I didn't want to give one star to write this.

We called around at other places that did pet cremation services and either nobody answered the phone, couldn't commit to it or appointments were needed and felt really far out for something that our household didn't really want to sit around on and not have at least get the ball rolling. We got in the next day and our elderly dog that passed got cremated a few days later. Of course our dog's death occurred right when a weekend was coming on and so having the cremation done had to wait until the following Monday. But New Tacoma Cemeteries had a great selection of urns for our dog. We picked a very nice wooded one and we're quite pleased with it and the service once it was completed. As I imagine as the staff are tailored to be they were very understanding and sympathetic to our recent loss and did a great job. Our 15 year old Chihuahua passed away at home. Her name was Brazil. Once time allowed we scattered the ashes on her favorite ocean beach. We will definitely keep the urn as remember fondly our pet but more importantly a family member that we lost.

Over the decades my family has turned to New Tacoma Cemeteries to handle all the services necessary for handling deceased relatives. His also provided some much needed and timely advice for making the memorial service a success as well. My thanks to Paul and all the other staff members involved.

I was devastated and heart broken but she was so kind, and helpful every step of the way. From sending me the necessary forms to complete and advising me on how the body would be handled from the hospital to the cremation services, I was so reassured. They also delivered the death certificates and ashes to my hotel because I was overwhelmed handling his affairs including cleaning out his house. She also prepared a letter for the airline in compliance with TSA-airline regulations. I did call a few places before selecting A Life Remembered so did compare prices and services. Their prices are very reasonable, and the personalized service was so much more than I expected. I'm so grateful to have found this company via Yelp, and would highly recommend them.

She arranged for my mom to be transferred to the mortuary, she was able to get the death certificate signed quickly and hand delivered certified copies to the family within a few days. She then had all the proper documentation for me to bring my mom's ashes back to Hawaii which I didn't even know to ask about. I had asked about jewelry to put some of the ashes in and she took care of that as well. It feels strange to even talk about pricing but the cost was way less than what we would have expected and to have someone caring and respectful that comes to the home twice, once to discuss your wishes, and the second time to hand deliver your loved one's ashes so you don't have to go through the pain of visiting the mortuary itself meant so much. Natalie even followed up with a card to let us know she was thinking of us. I would highly recommend her service to anyone.

Once we made a visit to Return Home, the choice was easy. The staff was kind, compassionate, and professional, all with a sense of moderation that made discussions comfortable. We signed our prearrangement with confidence we took a step that will make things easier for our family. Little did we know we would need to make funeral arrangements a son of ours before our own time came. Our phone call to Return Home was answered immediately, and Director of Family Care, Brie Smith, took care of the logistical tasks, then worked with us to set up a memorial service for the family that we conducted in a lovely space on site. Following the memorial service, we made visits to our son as he was undergoing his terramation journey. We sat with him and admired the decorations and pictures so lovingly placed by the family during the service. Now, he has returned to our home and continues to be a part of our lives in our garden. Thank you Return Home for the great care of our dear son, and the kind attention you paid to our needs. Everyone we encoutered at Return Home on our visits treated us with the same considerate manner we experienced with Brie. We now have first-hand knowledge of what our own family will experience when they work with Return Home on our behalf. We could not be more pleased.
