Friends of ours told us about this place but we've never been because we're not in Farmington very often. It was well worth the 40 minute drive and we'd recommend it too. A real local family restaurant with the feel of a Wisconsin supper club. We didn't have any brandy old fashioned's but our cocktails were served in mason jars. We had the combo appetizer which includes your choice of three of the various options (mostly fried). We had the mozz logs (mozzarella sticks), bullets (jalapeño poppers) and clams. The clams were by far the star of these options. The house salads were basic but served on chilled plates with homemade dressings that you don't see much of anymore and they were perfect. We ordered chicken alfredo, raviolis with meat sauce and the walleye. Chicken alfredo was not your cookie cutter dish found anywhere, it was generous on chicken and plenty of flavor other than the sauce. The walleye was two nice size pieces that were thicker and more like mass produced cod filets. I'm more of a fan of the thinner filets that curl up when they're fried but the flavor and batter were perfect. The star of the entrees was the ravioli with meat sauce. I'm sure this is how Nonne Scapecchi built her following when they opened over 25 years ago (We think she's the one who greeted us and showed us to our table). Be sure to save room for one of their homemade desserts too. We shared their butterfinger cake and it was delicious. Our server, Tina, was very friendly and accurate with her advice about our menu questions. Bring your cash or use their ATM in the bar for $3 despite what Yelp says on this listing they're cash only. No need for reservations unless you're a party of six or more. We'd recommend this place too if you're looking for something off the beaten path and local with homemade items throughout the menu. Scapecchi's supper club, well I have no words. It is the worst things I have ever tasted. I got a simple hamburger and they totally ruined it. How can you mess them up! And the fries were so bad I ate one and left the rest. Now the management. Where to start? How about the boss. Gene Scapecchi. What. A. Guy. Single handed the most racist guy I have ever met. This place is a little hole in the wall in the middle of nowhere. Inside it's a little dark and dingy and as staff kept opening the back door bugs kept sneaking in. Then the bugs would be attracted to the light directly over my head and kept dive bombing me to the point I had to move. Thankfully this happened towards the end of the meal! There was one server assigned to our large group and she did a great job handling everyone. I was disappointed in their limited drink selection- a lot of beer and wine you can get everywhere. It would've been nice to have some local, seasonal options. I chose the prime rib special and got a side of sweet potato and salad. The salad was ordinary as was the sweet potato. Not bad at all but average. The prime rib was large and cooked well but wasn't amazing. I added a side of onions and mushrooms which helped. For a small town restaurant, Scapecchi's is doing things right! They have very reasonable prices for the food they are putting out. My girlfriend had the steak and shrimp special and it was $15. And, I expect a flat iron steak, but this steak was good quality and a better cut! My prime rib came out perfectly medium rare-be sure to ask for horseradish on the side! While, I enjoyed dinning here, Scapecchi's would have to change a lot to compete with almost any restaurant not in Farmington. First, the menu is huge. A lot of small town restaurants have this problem, but selecting menu items that they can put out consistently is important. Sorry, but I'm not ordering most of the menu simply because I can get it better other places. Decor: it needs an update. If this is a supper club, they need to invest in an updated look. The wood furniture isn't cutting it. Especially since much of it is collecting dust. The entrance way is awkward especially since no one is waiting for you when you enter. So, continue to put out the great cuts of meat, removing the least orders menu items, and give it a face lift. read more

I went for a paint night. The staff was amazing. Prices were good. My only issue was their cheese logs. They were supposed to be like mozzarella sticks but they were hard as a rock. Very Rude! The owners don't want to hear when something is wrong. Bad service, horribly rude waitress, and the order was wrong twice. Took a friend there for her birthday and the owners said they didn't care about my complaint, they were busy so they didn't need my business!
