Had two gift cards so thank goodness I didn't have to pay for this experience. Upon arrival we were the second table - total of four people eating at this point. Host was fine and Abby took care of us. Abby did everything! The other crew members were on their phones the entire time and she was running around like the proverbial chicken with its head cut off. She made the drinks / two guys sat scrolling. Another guy was at the host stand and he was scrolling and the other two were also sitting at a table - you guessed it - scrolling. No tables had the condiments on them and the other table of two had to ask for them and so did we! This location tends to start getting a lot of kids coming in after ball games, aquatics next door and the soccer field down the street. It becomes a lesson in how not to parent and the noise level becomes more like Chuckee Cheese. The food is great. The drinks were meh. I'll go back to Peoria Heights location next. My fear is that Brienzo's is over extending themselves with three locations and that by doing so, an inevitable collapse of the entire empire is forthcoming. Brick and mortar places are expensive when you are renting. I hope I'm wrong on this. Brienzo's wood fired is the best of these types of pizza joints. The place was hopping at dinner time; there was even a band outside! The pizza was great; I got a gluten free crust (which was super crunchy) with the signature La Rosa pizza which was DELICIOUS. We stopped by Brienzo's since we were staying in a hotel nearby. The bar had a swanky modern feel to it with a young vibe. We didn't eat, though ordered a bottle of Cabernet, which was priced at $42. On the night we were in it was mostly a younger crowd based on the music and there lighting was bright bright (which turned to a more reasonable level on a timer), but overall it wasn't too busy to distract from winding down in the early evening. Upon leaving, we walked through the arcade attached, but didn't see anything that appealed to us. Our bartender was friendly and pretty attentive. If you're at the hotels nearby, this is a close option. read more

This is a wonderful spot. Looks fresh and inviting. The bar looks awesome. Great location. Super clean too. We were here with a group of 9. We all very much enjoyed. Claudia took great care of us. We had various pizzas, breadsticks and wings. Everything was perfect. Highly recommended. We will be back for sure. read more

Zero stars! Yes we had 15 of us in our group for Memorial Day weekend but they had no more than two tables inside. We waited 40 mins for our drinks to arrive and had to serve them ourselves. My husbands soda finally came an hour later and he said no thanks. Waitresses inside not doing anything when we had to ask to order. Our waiter had to be the bartender til one came in at 5 but then great, have someone else wait our table. They were already guaranteed a 20% tip and seriously so many of us were pissed. We love the cheese sauce, wings and most food we usually order but this service was close to make me never come back to this location. My husband even had to go inside and steal plates off of other tables. It was horrendous. Here's a sad pic of our meatballs with no cheese on them so we sprinkled Parmesan cuz they suck. First time at this location... wow just wow! Great staff with friendly vibes from the person at host stand to my server (wish I got her name!) Breadsticks with that beer cheese OMG! Loved the BBQ chicken pizza and a cold beer (fire IPA). I will for sure return and tell all my friends!!!! read more

I'll rate this place a 3 out 5 stars. We came in and the restaurant was pretty empty. We still had to wait a few minutes to get a table cleaned for a party of 5. We order some appetizers and didn't have utensils and plates, we had to tell our waitress to bring some out. Not a fan of the wings but definitely like the panini sandwiches and the meatballs. read more

My family had a terrible experience at Brienzos recently. Our waiter was not good, we had to ask him several times for napkins, silverware, and water, he was not attentive to us and it wasn't a busy night. The pizza took over ann hour to come and when it did, it was cold. We asked our waiter how much it would be for small container of cheese and he told us $.99 then it was much higher on our bill. It was really a terrible experience and I don't think we will be returning. read more

We stopped by after my daughter's softball game and was truly disappointed. We ordered 4 entrees. A Greek salad with chicken, Caesar salad with chicken, meatball panini and chicken panini. Each of us probably ate four bites of food before deciding it didn't seem right to have to force yourself to eat a dinner. I took my kids to McDonald's after. I asked the bartender for my bill, as the service was slow and our waiter never came around the table. I let the bartender know the chicken on the salads was frozen, to which she replied, was it frozen when you got it? .....no, we put it on ice at the table? They did offer to let me leave my information and maybe I'd be given a gift card. I declined, however. We won't be back. Holy Cow- $82 for a bottle of cheap Cabernet and two Bulleit Bourbons Neat. I mean I just paid for your entire bottle of Bourbon with two drinks. I'd hate to know how much you price your Blanton's. We stay at the local hotels often, and thought we'd check out a new place to wind down. This ain't it. Never, ever, order delivery from this restaurant. This place views the delivery transaction as "out of their hands" once the pizza is picked up by whatever third party service that they use, so no liability on their part if your pizza gets there and a half after you order it. If you go there in person, be prepared for the staff to have *any* other priority than waiting on you. They like to cluster and chat - you annoying them with an order is just rude. Also, if you complain about anything, be sure to buckle up for an argument. You are wrong, the pizza is perfect and get over it. Beware, the owner is some sort of psycho who will not respect your wishes to not have him contact you once he gets involved. Suggest that if you have the same experiences that I did, get a preliminary restraining order to avoid his barrage of contacts. Stay away. I'm pretty sure that they will be filming some sort of found footage horror movie there, and you don't want to be in it. read more

I made a reservation for 5 people on a Friday night. I was really excited to finally try their pizza and we brought friends that were visiting from out of town. What a disappointment! We were seated almost immediately after checking in, but then this is where it all went south. We sat there for almost 20 minutes. Multiple servers walking by, but no one looking our way for me to flag down, nor did any of them think to ask if we needed anything. Finally someone was back up at the host stand so I went up there and told them we have been sitting there for some time and no one has come by. I was then told that it appeared they forgot to mark the table as "occupied". Ok, but not one server saw us sitting there for 20 minutes with menus, but no drinks and thought to check on that? A server eventually came over and she was rushing around the entire time and didn't even offer an apology for our wait. We waited a minimum of 10 minutes for drink refills. The employee who brought our food out practically threw it at us, I almost ended up wearing my pizza. I will say that the pizza was very good, though overpriced. $110 for two of us, yikes! I recognize that they were very busy, but you can still work quickly and efficiently without rushing around and making your tables feel like an inconvenience. Unfortunately, I do not think I'll be back. read more

Worst experience and will not be returning here! We came here and our waitress took our order and then avoided us when we tried to ask about our foods ETA which came 45 minutes later! There was no communication and we couldn't get any help to cancel our food to leave since we had 4 toddlers who were hungry. We had a large birthday party dinner on the patio honoring my granddaughter. The patio was great for privacy, space and ambiance on that cool summer evening. My husband and I thought the pizzas were fine, but the cheesy garlic bread was really good. But the best part of the evening was our main server. They took forever getting our salads ready. When we got home, we found out the dressing had leaked all over the bag, making a mess.

We were bringing in a group of girls after our last game (9:30 pm). The restaurant is open until 11 pm. I walked in and the restaurant was empty but I heard laughter from the kitchen. After waiting five mins at the host station the host comes out and tells me they won't accept our group. I speak to the manager who also initially refused our group. What's the difference if it's a party or 20 (all pizzas were preordered so wouldn't be trying to take multiple orders). She initially said no and tried to explain the cost of staying open which is weird since costs would have been forecasted based on staying open until 11 pm. When I said I would leave a review on Yelp and asked for the owners name and phone number she tells me she doesn't want to upset me. I wasn't upset, just surprised that a dead restaurant would turn away an order of $400+. Pizza was expensive and only have a 10". Was very mid. Parent who went to the bar to purchase drinks was initially refused because they had closed up the bar (never announced a last call and it was only 10 pm). Then they agreed to take his order. Server was great to his credit and made more money off our group than had he been sent home. Great location but unfortunate leadership. read more
