I had all 4 of my wisdom teeth pulled at the same time when I was 15 years old. He left to much gum access on both my bottoms. What happens is food gets tucked in there and it is uncomfortable. The first time this happened I couldn't close my mouth and it was 11 years later. I had called and they said there was nothing that can be done. Today my right side is a little swollen. Once again! Dr. John is an absolutely wonderful Dentist. I have never in my 59 years of life had a better dental experience. He was the most thorough Dr of any kind that I have ever experienced. He did not hurry at all and took all the time to make sure I understood everything that was to happen. I am scared to death of needles and I still find it hard to believe that he was able to numb my mouth without the discomfort that I have always felt in the past. From the moment I walked into his office I felt comfortable, and that is something that I have NEVER experienced. Even while performing my surgery Dr John was explaining everything he was doing before he did it. Not only is this man a TOP NOTCH PROFESSIONAL all of the girls in his office were absolutely fantastic. There is one office girl in particular that made me feel beyond at ease, she is the shorter girl in the office. Dr. Scaramella and his office were super great. I came in for all 4 wisdom teeth to be removed and it was a super smooth process. All the surgeons were communicative with the procedure and talked about everything that needed to be done. Before the surgery started, they all knew I was nervous but they all made sure I was relaxed and calm before they started. They were able to make jokes with me and made me feel like I knew them their whole life. I have never felt so comfortable by a Dentist before. Dr. Scaramella has seen my brother, sister, and finally, myself, for our wisdom teeth surgeries and he is incredible. I know when our final sibling gets his teeth out, he will go to Dr. Scaramella as well. He's a gem. I haven't had many doctors, but the care for his patients shine through every visit. He takes the time to inform you about not only your problem, but general knowledge about your teeth. Instead of simply saying "yup" or "no", he explains what is happening and why it's a problem. The Friday before my Monday 8AM surgery, I thought I was getting an infection near my wisdom teeth, which would have pushed the surgery. I called the office, and to my surprise, they fitted me in later that day for a consult. If I had an infection, they wouldn't have been able to schedule another surgery in time, and they would have lost time and money. I expected some sternness, but he was calm and unaffected. I was blown away! His office is in a small, quant building and can be hard to find, but there's plenty of parking in the back. It's quiet inside, and it's very relaxed. Last, his staff is wonderfully attentive and welcoming. In every case, excluding the last-minute consultation, the scheduling has been easy and I haven't had to wait long. Dr. Scaramella is one of those old fashioned, polite as all get-out, doctors that remembers your name, remembers the last time you visited his office and is well prepared with the newest medical equipment. I've also found him to be refreshingly candid, interested in finding the right solution. Rounding it out, his staff is great ... yes, great. Doctor Scaramella is the best when it's about wisdom tooth. I had all 4 of my wisdom teeth removed at once. Never regretted about this. Dr.Scaramella took care of anesthesia and was very attentive. Nurses are the best, they hold my hand during the procedure - so comforting. I had NO SWALLOWING at all. First 3 days were hard tho, but I haven't use any prescribed pain killers, cause it was managable. Highly recommend Dr.Scaramella and his clinic! read more

Amazing provider. I had a preciously root canaled tooth break and then abscess. Previously urgent care diagnosed me with a sinus infection and gave me the wrong antibiotic. Two days later the whole side of my face blew up. I called and was able to get a telemedicine appointment in less than an hour. He called in rhe right antibiotic and got me in 2 days later. The work up wa thorough, he explained everything and let me make my own decision. A week later the tooth had to be removed. Sedation made it easy and I've gotten the best aftercare ever with daily calls. I can't recommend enough. Unfortunately he's semi retired so plan ahead. read more

Had some major wisdom tooth problems causing me a good amount of pain, and took me in on short notice. Had to have my son's wisdom teeth out, but during an x-ray they had discovered his # 4 tooth was coming in sideways and intruding on his nasal passage. After seeing a different oral surgeon and having a horrific experience with just his front office staff, I honestly didn't know what were going to do. I know we needed to find another doctor but who. We were referred to Dr. Scaramella by my sons' pediatrician. He explained everything what was going on and our different options. Additionally, his office staff is warm friendly and caring. I recently had an abscessed tooth that was beyond a root canal.The dental group I went to for my evaluation couldn't do the extraction and recommend Dr. Scaramella. I am SO glad. Doctor Scaramella is a phenomenal oral surgeon. He recently extracted all four of my wisdom teeth and it has now been five days since the procedure. Up until now I have had little to no pain and only slight swelling. Everybody in his office welcomes you with a smile on their face including Doctor Scaramella. When I first went in to check out my wisdom teeth he explained to me thoroughly how my teeth were growing and the steps he was going to take to extract them. His explanation made me feel comfortable and relaxed towards the idea of the procedure. The second time I went in I was gearing up for the surgery and once more he gave a brief description of what was going to happen. The staff made me feel comfortable when getting me set up for the IV,which only felt like a mosquito bite. Because I wasn't under general anesthetic I was aware of what was happening but I didn't feel a thing. After what seemed like a five minute surgery he explained how I need to care for my teeth and what I could and couldn't do. He then walked me to the car. I have my follow up appointment next week and hopefully everything is as it should be. I would definitely recommend Doctor Scaramella for all ages as he is very kind and genuinely cares for the patient. read more

Dr. Scaramella is a very nice & caring person who is really good at what he does! I just got all 4 of my wisdom teeth out yesterday & only one side of my face is a little swollen. I expected much more swelling but he was super gentle & patient with my difficult & large teeth. One of my teeth was growing backwards towards my palette near my sinus cavity which he says is extremely rare & i hardly felt it when he was pulling & scraping for almost an hour alone on that one tooth. I was practically asleep the entire treatment haha he even walked me out personally & called me himself the same afternoon of the surgery. Dr. Scaramella and his staff were very nice and caring during a biopsy procedure. Unfortunately, after the procedure he never gave me the results of the biopsy. I called his office 5 times and got a message service most of the time. Once I received an actually person at the office, but was told the Dr. Was in surgery and only he could give me the results. Again I never received a call back. I left many messages for the doctor through his service and never received a call back. I then went to his office and again got the he is in surgery excuse. I again left a message and never received a call back. No point in getting a biopsy if you are never going to receive results. I still to this day just hope all is fine. read more
