I started with Smile Care this pass year. Smile Care's office is clean, up to date with their equipment, and their care team is Excellent with their communications with me regarding my oral health. Dr. Hedvat is nice, and a straight shooter. I am not sure he knows he has a sense of humor, but he makes me laugh. Dolores, the hygienist - well, she is amazing. I let her know that I am very sensitive to the epi when I am there for the deep cleaning, and she conquers it, and allows me to be epi free with minimal discomfort. She's gentle, kind, and funny. Overall, I enjoy the professionalism of Smile Care. I can have Dr. Hedvat do my annual care, and within that, he has a care team prepared for all your oral care needs.

You have to jump through hoops just to get a live person on the phone, and when you finally do, the interaction often feels rushed and as though they are annoyed that you called. I recently had a bad fall that caused trauma to my face and teeth, and I came in with two main concerns. The first was fixing my chipped front tooth. They did an incredible job with the filling. It looks just like my natural tooth, and I couldn't be happier with how it turned out! My second concern was getting another opinion on a treatment plan I had received elsewhere. They took the time to explain that because of the trauma, my mouth and teeth need time to heal so we can see how they respond over the next few weeks before rushing into thousands of dollars of additional dental work. I was then called into an office and presented with some suggested minerals to take prior to beginning the procedure, $165. Next came the cost. Glad I was sitting down because $46,000 would have floored me. This spoke volumes to me. I honestly didn't feel comfortable from the receptionist whispering, to the DDS coming in the room gocking at me, to the person selling me the minerals. Have you ever been somewhere you know you're not welcome. That's how I felt. I'd actually spend the money if I felt welcomed and treated the same as the others who came in. So for me it's a NO!
